of their matriarch and Queen, Edith Mae on Sunday March 30, 2008.

(HIGGS) was born to Levi and Myrtle

(CAMPBELL)
on June 2, 1920. She married her husband Leighton Frederick
RUMBLE
(1983) on October 3, 1941. The most important thing in life to
Edith and Leighton was their family. She was the proud mother
of 5 sons, and grandmother to 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Edith and Leighton enjoyed 29 years in the city
of Guelph where she worked at Biltmore Hats keeping her boys
in style. They were devoted members of Paisley United Church
in Guelph and the Fourth Line Community Church. Lady Edith was
an avid seamstress, Rumble Racing sponsor and fan, and life of
the party. Her smile and infectious laugh, high heels, red lipstick
and kisses on the lips were part of her trade mark style. The
RUMBLE family will receive Friends for visitation at the Blenheim
Community Funeral Home, 60 Stanley Street, Blenheim on Wednesday
April 2, 2008 7: 00-9:00 p.m. and Thursday April 3, 2008 2:00-4:30 and
7: 00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service celebrating Edith's life will
be held at the Blenheim United Church on Friday April 4, 2008
at 11: 00 a.m. with Reverend Bruce

following the service, interment will take place in Evergreen
Cemetery, Blenheim. Friends wishing to honour Edith by way of

Surrounded by family at her home, on July 9th, 2008, in her 81st
year. Predeceased by her husband, Robert, and her sister, Jean.
Survived by her brother, Ted; sister-in-law, Jean; children,
John, Elizabeth, Barbara and Mary; grandchildren, Sarah, Christopher,
Robert, Emily and Laura; daughter-in-law, Jo Ann; sons-in-law,
Ray and Christopher; grand_son-in-law, Chris; and by her nieces,
nephews and many Friends. Claire's marvelous sense of humor,
independent spirit and devotion to Tiger Woods never left her.
She was a much-loved woman who accepted the inevitability of
her death with great courage and humility. Her absence in our
lives will be deeply felt. Funeral service will be held at Trull
Funeral Home 'North Toronto Chapel', 2704 Yonge Street (5 blocks
south of Lawrence 416-488-1101) on Saturday, July 12th at 11: 00 a.m.

Canada and Scotland. Emigrating from Scotland where she met Stan
during World War 2, the couple remained residents of Goderich
for over 60 years. Alma worked at the Alexandra Marine and General
Hospital in Goderich as a receptionist before retiring in 1991.
She was a member of Victoria Street United Church for many years
and was an active member of the United Church Women Family will
receive Friends at the McCallum and Palla Funeral Home, in Goderich
on Thursday, April 24th from 7-9 p.m. followed by a funeral service
on Friday, April 25th at 11: 00 a.m. Cremation to follow with
interment at Maitland Cemetery on a date to be determined. As
expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Alexandra
Marine and General Hospital Computer-Aided Tomography Scan fundraising
or the St. Elizabeth Society will be gratefully accepted. Online

Gladys passed away at Thompson House in Don Mills, after a brief
battle with cancer. Born in England, she served in the British
Auxiliary during World War 2, prior to coming to Toronto in 1947.
She has been predeceased by her brother Ron in England, her twin
sister May in Montreal, and her sister Joan in Parry Sound. She
is survived by nieces and nephews in England and Ontario. In
accordance with the wishes of the family, funeral arrangements
have been completed by Heritage Funeral Centre (416-423-1000).
Interment in Parry Sound will occur in the spring. Donations
to Thompson House or the Don Mills Foundation in her memory would
be appreciated. Special thanks to the staff at Thompson House,
her home for the past 17 years.
