At the Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Monday, July 21st, 2008, at the age of 54 years, the former Debbie (MELVILLE) IRVINE of Port Elgin. Cherished wife for 36 years of David IRVINE. Loving mother of Cheryl-Ann and her husband Andy BARNARD, Dawn IRVINE, Kathy and her husband Matthew WILLSON, Sarah IRVINE, all of Port Elgin. Amanda IRVINE of Owen Sound, David J. IRVINE and his fiancée Shelly WHALEN of Stoney Creek, and Kelly-Lynn and her husband Mark ABRAHAM of Windsor. Loving Nana of J.D., Hunter, Amelia and Kaleb. Beloved daughter of Betty MELVILLE of Toronto. Dear sister of Myrna MAZENIC of Mississauga, and Sherry IRVING of Oshawa. Debby will be missed by her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law of the IRVINE family. She is also survived by twenty-one nieces and nephews, and by eleven great-nieces and great-nephews. She is predeceased by her father Fred Roger AYOTTE, her brother Alfred MELVILLE and her stepfather John Henry MELVILLE, Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin (Town of Saugeen Shores) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, July 24th, 2008. Funeral mass will be celebrated in Saint_Joseph's Church, 920 Wellington Street, on Friday at 11: 00 a.m. with Father Peter MEYER as celebrant. Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. McCULLOCH, Doctor Michael Alexander
(November 18, 1932-May 4, 2008)
After a long brave battle with leukemia, Michael left this world to sing, ski, play tennis and golf in the next. He died peacefully at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital where he had been a staff member for 45 years. Lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his wife Ann (Rainnie) and children Gillian (Gord BOGDEN,) Pam (Jon TYNER,) Gavin (Carolyn MEACHER,) Maggie (Jeff AYOUB) and Matthew (Danah DUKE.) Also missed by his grandchildren Scott, Blake, Jamie, Nicholas, Luke, Heather, Clare, Logan and Tala. Survived by his brothers Bob (Virginia) and Ian (Maria) and many nieces and nephews. Michael was born in Montreal. He attended Bishops College School where he was head Prefect. He graduated from Dalhousie Medical School in 1959 and went on to be a family doctor (Dr. Mike) in Oakville. He also cherished his years as the school doctor at Appleby College and camp doctor at Kilcoo. His passion was for his family, his patients, teaching about diabetes to whomever would listen, and lately singing with the Oakville Entertainers. A fine athlete, he will be missed on the hills of Holimont and on the course of the Toronto Golf Club. A special thank-you to Doctor ROUSE and all the staff on 2E, especially Bev and Joanne and his fans at the Halton Diabetes Program. A Funeral Service will be held at Saint_Jude's Anglican Church, 160 William Street, Oakville on Thursday, May 8th, 2008 at 2: 00 p.m. Reception to follow. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, please give the gift of blood. Donations can be made to the Oakville Hospital Foundation or the OHF Halton Diabetes Program. Arrangements made with Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, Oakville 905-844-2600.

STOREY, Merle Secord " Auntie Teb"
In Ottawa on July 2, 2008 at the age of 97. Survived by her sister Margaret Storey Callaghan DOYLE (Patrick), nieces Barbara CALLAGHAN, Carol CALLAGHAN (Rick BREZER), Debby PHILLIPS (Rod), Margot HAJDUK (Michael) all of Edmonton, Pama HOBBING and Linda AYOUNG- CHEE of Burlington, nephew John CALLAGHAN of Vancouver, numerous great nieces and nephews, godson Stephen COLLINS and goddaughter Peggy BEATTIE. Predeceased by parents Milton and Norma and brother John.
Merle graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master's degree in languages before embarking on an editorial career with the Government of Canada in Ottawa. She was an accomplished editor of many publications which included the Royal Commission on Bilingualism and Biculturalism, and after retirement, was senior English editor for the National Museums Corporation of Canada. Merle was an active member of the Media Club of Canada for over 40 years. She had a lifelong passion for books, photography, the arts and traveled most of the world, including several trips to the Middle East and yearly visits to Italy. She was a prolific writer, documenting her life and travels in journals, postcards and letters. A lifelong student, she studied Italian and Russian in her later years.
