Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday,
January 6, 2008 at the General and Marine Hospital, Collingwood
in his 88th year. John of Stayner, lovingly commended to the
Lord's care by his dear wife of over 60 years, Sally. Loving

of Luke, John, Meghan, Kris, Greg, Amanda, Roberta, Tegan and
Arian. Proud great-grandfather of Maya and Everest. John was
a well known character in Stayner, out rain or shine on his scooter
and one of the oldest Veterans of World War 2, a proud Canadian,
faithful servant, lay reader and pastoral visitor of the Anglican
Church of the Good Shepherd. Friends will be received at the
Carruthers and Davidson Funeral Home, 7313 Highway 26 (Main St.),
Stayner (705-428-2637) on Wednesday January 9, 2008 from 2-4 and
7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Anglican Church
of the Good Shepherd, 219 Scott Street, Stayner (at Kirkwood
Dr.) on Thursday January 10, 2008 at 1 o'clock with visitation
from 12 noon. If desired, donations in John's memory may be made
