SORENSON, Edith (née AMINSON)
Peacefully at Kelso Pines in Owen Sound on Sunday December 30, 2007. Edith SORENSON (née AMINSON,) beloved wife of the late Axel SORENSON. Loving mother of “Sandy” Alex and his wife Anne, Paul and his wife Heather and Tommy and his wife Janis. Loved grandmother of Chris and his wife Esther, Teena and her husband Joe DEMARS, John, Skylar and Rory. Loving great-grandmother Curtis, Kyle, Axel and Jesse. Dear sister of Clara McANDREW. Fondly Remembered by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers James and Alex. Friends may call at the Breckenridge-Ashcroft Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. Rev. Claire MILLER officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Saint Thomas Anglican Church would be appreciated by the family.

At Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Monday, May 5, 2008. Ruth Audrey COWIE of Parkhill in her 89th year. Daughter of the late Gordon and Elizabeth McINTOSH. Beloved wife of Ross COWIE. Dear mother of Kenn and Jane HIGGS of Sarnia and Rich and Ann HIGGS of Ottawa. Sadly missed by her 5 grandchildren; Todd, Tasha, Jennifer, Ryan and Matthew and 7 great-grandchildren. Survived by 3 sisters; June, Betty and Eleanor. Predeceased by 5 sisters Shirley, Mae, Bernice, Verlyn and Evleyn and 4 brothers; Lloyd, Harvey, Elliott and Harold (Bob). Visitation will be held at the T. Stephenson and son Funeral Home, Ailsa Craig on Thursday, May 8 from 12-2 p.m. when a funeral service will be held with Rev. Larry AMIRO officiating. Interment in Nairn Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted as a living memorial to Audrey.
