Peacefully at the Dearness Home, London on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 Jean Elsie (JOHNSTON) DAVIS of London and formerly of Lucan in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Richard (Dick) DAVIS (1992.) Best Mom in the world to Carole and Tim ALCE and Steve DAVIS and his friend Sandy all of London, Norma and Doug GALLOWAY of Flesherton, Sherrie and Hugh GARTON of Bayfield, Debbie DAVIS and her friend John of London. Proud grandma of Jeff and Heather Denise, Kyle and Michael; Melissa, Jenny and Amy; R.J. and Ryan Brett, Joe and Annie. Also survived by 16 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Geordie JOHNSTON of Sydney, British Columbia. Jean's life was all about devotion to her family and she will be greatly missed. Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Thursday evening 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th at 1: 30 p.m. with Rev. At Grey Bruce Health Services, Southampton, on Thursday May 22, 2008. Ken GOAR of Southampton in his 87th year, Beloved husband of Gladys GOAR (YEO) of Elgin Lodge, Port Elgin. Dear father of Patricia HAGEDORN of Stratford and Doug and his wife Anne GOAR of Saugeen Shores. Proud grandfather of Stephen, Jason, Jonathan, Jennifer and her husband Jason ALCOCK and Jeremy and his wife Karla, and great-grandfather of Nathan, Brynn and Kaleb. Also survived by his brother-in-law Bill KEALEY. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews and his Friends in the community. Predeceased by his parents, George (Joe) and Bertha GOAR (BROOKS,) by his 2 older brothers, Harvey and Gordon (Babe), and by his sister, Marion. Ken will be remembered for his love of family, for his many years as Southampton's Arena and Curling Club manager, curator of Bruce County Museum, as well as for the operation of Goar Wholesale. Visitation from the Eagleson Funeral Home, Southampton on Wednesday May 28, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at Saint Paul's Anglican Church, Southampton on Thursday May 29th at 11 a.m. The Reverend Margaret GREENHOW will officiate. Interment Southampton Cemetery. A Time of Fellowship and Sharing will follow in the Parish Hall of the Church. ALCOCK, Charles Allan
Of Sarnia passed away quietly at Bluewater Health, Mitton Street Campus on Thursday May 22, 2008, in his 61st year after a short battle with leukemia. He was predeceased by his parents Raymond (1975) and Margaret (2007) ALCOCK. He is survived by his sister Bonnie (Frank) DOBSON of Belleville and his brother Robert (Anne MORGAN) of Watford. Also survived by nephews Steven TETLOCK (Belleville,) Travis ALCOCK (Watford) and niece Kathryn ALCOCK (Sarnia.) Funeral Service will be held Monday, May 26 from the Stewart Funeral Home, 254 George Street, Sarnia at 1: 00 p.m. Visitation 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lambton County Mental Health Foundation or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Messages of condolences may be expressed to the family at
