Richard will be greatly missed by his family, Friends and
colleagues. We are all so lucky to have had him in our lives.
Richard began his successful law career with Robarts Betts McLennan
and Flynn in London, Ontario, followed by eleven years with the
Federal Department of Justice, Tax Litigation group, in Toronto.
Since 1981, he has been a tax partner at McMillan Binch Mendelsohn.
Richard was gregarious, generous, witty, loyal and fair. He was
resolutely uncomplaining in the face of almost everything except
bad weather that kept him off the golf course. Friends are invited
to the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave. West, Toronto
(2 stoplights west of Yonge Street), on Monday, April 7 from
2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Remembrance Service will be held on Tuesday,
April 8 at 11 a.m. at Grace Church on-the-Hill, 300 Lonsdale
Road, Toronto (north of St. Clair Avenue West, east of Spadina

PICKETT passed away on June 5, 2008 at the age of
88. Bill was born in Toledo, Ohio, received degrees from the
University of Toledo and University of Texas and served in the
Army during World War 2. He began his career with Jeep Corporation
and held Vice Presidential positions at American Motors Corporation
in both International and Domestic Sales before moving to Canada
as President of American Motors Canada. He was the recipient
of the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Toledo,
Mensa Society Award, World Trader of the Year from the U.S. Chamber
of Commerce, Distinguished Service Citation from the Automotive
Hall of Fame and was named Canadian Business Man of the Year
(1980). After retiring to Fort Myers, Florida, Bill was involved
in various business endeavours, including the local and national
SCORE organization. He enjoyed golf, the beach, and being
involved with his grandchildren. Bill is survived by his wife
Marian, sons Stephen (Gayle) and Michael (Marilyn), daughter
Anna ABRA
(Paul,) and grandchildren Amanda, Theodore, Bethany,
Christopher and Meaghan. A private memorial service will be held
later this year in Fort Myers. Gifts to celebrate Bill's life

Dorothy Grace Abraham (née Graham) 82 years, of Petrolia, passed away
peacefully, at Fiddick's Nursing Home, Petrolia, on Friday, February 15,
2008. Born in Lobo Township, she was the daughter of the late Peter and
Grace Graham. Dorothy was a devoted member of Saint Paul's United Church
and United Church Women, the former Adanac Women's Institute, the C.E.E. Hospital
Auxiliary, the Petrolia-Enniskillen Agricultural Society and Paul Harris
Fellow of Rotary International. Dorothy is survived by her husband,
William T. (Bill) Abraham, a son, Tom of Petrolia and the late David
(1973), her grandchildren, Jessica Abraham and Ron Holland, Geoffrey
Abraham and Niki Chamaillard, Sarah Abraham and Chris Williams and Rhonda

Suddenly in Toronto, on December 23, 2007, after a full and rewarding
life of 85 years. Hugh was born on June 30, 1922 in Saint_John's
and was always proud of being a Newfoundlander even though his
family moved to Toronto in 1924.
Beginning as a World War 2 Instructor in the Royal Canadian Air
Force, Hugh has a long and distinguished career in the Canadian
Forces, retiring in 1973 as a Lt. Colonel (Wing Commander), then
worked with the Standards Council of Canada for ten years.
His education included a B.Sc. in Metallurgical Engineering from
the University of Toronto and
an M.A.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering
from Cranfield University, Bedfordshire, United Kingdom.
After retiring, Hugh lived on Lake Waseosa near Huntsville, Ontario,
where his enthusiasm for the outdoors, gardening, travel, home
projects and his family continued unabated.
Hugh was much loved and will be greatly missed by Vivian, his
beloved wife, friend and supporter for more than 61 years, sons
Douglas and Robert (Judith), grandchildren Daniela (Matthew),
Andrea (Robert), Matthew (Yara) and Adam, great-granddaughter
Ella, brother Eric and sisters Dorothy and Phyllis, many nieces
and nephews, and numerous Friends. Predecased by his brother
William and sister Marion.
He will be remembered for his warmth, charm, wit and insight.
