McDOWELL, peacefully at Saint Thomas General Hospital
on Thursday Feb 21, 2008, with his fiance, children, brothers
and sisters and Friends by his side, John passed away in his

Predeceased by parents Hugh (2008) and Eileen (1971). It's so
sad that we have to say so long, seeing you go couldn't be stopped,
no matter how much praying and wishing. Now that you are gone
and you have found the power to be at peace, we hope that you
have gone fishing. You put so many smiles on so many faces, it
wasn't your job but rather a talented skill. You will be in our
hearts for more than a while, the memories of you are something
that time can't kill. When it comes to good men, it's unfortunate
to have lost another one". John was our Dad, a husband, friend,
brother son and uncle. Friends may visit with family at Needham
Funeral Service on Friday February 22, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral service will follow on Saturday February 23, 2008 at
1 o'clock. A private family interment will take place at a later
date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the London
Regional Cancer Centre.

Jim served as a Bomb Aimer in World
War 2 with 426 Squadron. Later he returned to school at University
of Toronto, he graduated in 1951 with a B.A.Sc., Chemical Engineering.
Upon graduation Jim joined Dow Chemical. He retired in 1982.
At Jim's request there will be no visitation or service. Cremation
is to take place and the ashes will be interred at Lakeview Cemetery.

Jeanne was a free spirit whose life touched many as a professional
beautician owner, as well as founder of Brig A Doon Celtic Importing/Exporting
Business in London. Jeanne did volunteer work and assisted those
she could, throughout her life. She had a great love for theater,
music, was an avid curler and bridge player. She was a member
of the business and professional women's club. Illness prevented
her from continuing her work, but she constantly showed the cheerful
sense of humour and Jouir De Vivre, which followed her throughout
her life. Her peals of laughter will be remembered by all who
knew her. Jeanne produced a movie, "On Wings of Valour", to rebut
the valour and the horror, produced by the McKeena brothers on
C.B.C. the program was shown coast to coast an on A&E, as well
as Channel 4 in United Kingdom. It won a best movie award that
year. She also wrote articles in newspapers and magazines. Cremation
has taken place. Memorial donations to the Boys and Girls Club,
Children's Hospital or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
A memorial service will take place to honour a life well lived,
August 26th, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Maitland Cemetery, Goderich,

from complications due to an accident sustained last September.
His eldest son Jim and long time companion Dorine were at his
side.
Through a tumultuous life of many great successes and equally

equalled by his stubborn determination to succeed. He was a firm
