Born January 7, 1925 in Biggar, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully
on January 31, 2008 with her family by her side. She was a devoted
wife to Len, an abundantly loving mother to Diane, Doug, Dixie
and Debby, and an adoring and proud grandma and great-grandma
to J, Luke, Jennifer, Sandra, Katie, Matt, Mark, Kevin, John,
Kate, Kash, Jake and Alex. She was also a terrific mother-in-law,
as Joe, Linda, Dave and Jim will attest. Alice was a proud graduate
of McGill University in 1946. She will miss her Friends, particularly
those at the Donalda Club where she enjoyed countless hours golfing,
curling and playing bridge. Alice struggled with Alzheimer's
for the last 10 years but never lost the twinkle in her eye or
the chance to give someone a little smile. She was a great example
to family and Friends of how to live life with dignity, grace
and love. The family extends warm thanks to the staff at Unionvilla
who took such good care of Alice over these past few years. In
lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society
