Predeceased by her sisters Ollie WHITE/WHYTE, Ida THORNLEY, Mary HOWELL, Joan DAWSON, by her brother Herb DAWSON, and by her parents Fred and Dorothy DAWSON. Of Saint Thomas, passed away on Wednesday, April 9th, 2008, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 76th year. Dearly loved husband of Lenore (WEST) FLINTOFT and loved father of Kimberley and his wife Wendy FLINTOFT of Aylmer, Kathy and her husband Brian WILLIAMS of Aylmer and step-father of Christine CLUNAS of Saint Thomas. Loved grandfather of Jon, Mike, Curtis, Jennifer, Amanda and Racheal. Dear brother of Jean and her husband Morley BROWN of Saint Thomas, Ruby and her husband Bill EDEN of Sweaburg and the late Dorothy JAGOE. Sadly missed by 5 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Bob was born in Saint Thomas on July 3rd, 1932, the son of the late George Albert and Alma Grace (MUNROE) FLINTOFT. He was retired from Laidlaw Transport and also had driven for Hepburn Transport. Bob had received an award for over 3,000,000 miles of safe driving. He was a member of the T Meadow Hunt club, an avid outdoorsman and trap shooter. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Friday at 11: 00 a.m. Interment to follow in Union Cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the charity of choice.

KEHOE, Michael Patrick
It is with great sadness the family of Michael Patrick KEHOE announces his passing, Thursday May 15, 2008 at the Red Lake Hospital after a brief illness (brain tumour). Michael was born and raised in Chatham, Ontario. At the young age of 19 he joined the Ontario Provincial Police and was first posted to Petrolia, Ontario In January 1974. Several years after arriving in Petrolia Mike met Kimberly TROMBLEY and they were married in Sarnia in October of 1978. Soon after (1981) Mike and Kim transferred to Northern Ontario (Ear Falls) where he spent most of his career, retiring from the Red Lake Detachment in January 2004. Mike was his happiest tromping through the bush whether he was hunting, fishing, trapping prospecting, or looking for some obscure lake he had seen on a map. He was a devout family man, helping to raise his two children Matthew (1985) and Gina (1987) both born in Red Lake, Ontario. Michael put the needs of his children and family before anything else, and was quite content to sit with a child on each knee watching cartoons. Michael leaves to mourn his passing his wife and best friend Kimberly, his two children, Matthew (Janelle) and Gina (Brian) his brothers and sisters Patrick KEHOE (Anne), Katherine LETWIN (William), Tim KEHOE (Kim) Joanne WEST (John) Mother-in-law Mary TROMBLEY, Sister-in-law Carol BUSS (Pat), brother-in-laws Michael TROMBLEY (Gail), Rod TROMBLEY (Stacey) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Harry KEHOE in August 1986, his mother Anne in January 2008 and his father-in-law Ernie TROMBLEY in April 1994. Michael will be sadly missed by his many Friends in the Ontario Provincial Police and all his Friends at the 'Round Table' from the Howey Bay where he met daily for an early morning coffee or two. A funeral service was held at the Royal Canadian Legion Wednesday May 21st with Reverend Doug GRIEG officiating. Interment followed at the Red Lake Cemetery. A visitation was held at the Red Lake Chapel on Tuesday, May 20th. Donations may be made in Michael's memory to the Red Lake Homeless Shelter, whose members lovingly referred to Michael as 'Robocop' through the Stevens Funeral Home, "Red Lake Chapel", P.O. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, relative and friend, törei TOTH Laszlo passed away in Newmarket, Ontario in the early morning on March 26, 2008 in his 91st year from the consequences of a heart attack in January. Mourning him are his wife KOVACS Clara 'Kari' and children Kathy and her husband Richard KUMPULA of Newmarket, Susan and her husband Charles WEST of Pincher Creek, Alberta and Tom and his wife Sandra BARRON of Brock Township. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren: Ilona and Julia KUMPULA; Stephen, Charlotte, Thomas and Peter WEST; Jessica, Nicholas, Andrea, Mathew, Mitchell, Wesley, Madeline and Katie TOTH; and by his niece and nephew Nadine STRUB and Paul HELBLING of Switzerland. He is predeceased by his sister Nadine HELBLING and nephew Alex HELBLING. Born in Budapest, Hungary, the son of Doctor törei TOTH Laszlo and Eleod Ilona, he was a graduate of the Pallag Agricultural College in Debrecen. During World War 2 he served valiantly as an Officer in the Hungarian Royal Cavalry and spent four years as a prisoner of war in Siberia. Laszlo and Clara were married in 1949 and came to Canada as refugees. Since 1953 they have lived in Newmarket where they owned and managed the award-winning Carlissa Jersey Herd and were well-known members of the Canadian Jersey Cattle Club. Laszlo loved to travel and to visit his relatives and Friends in Europe, Canada and the United States. He was a most considerate host to everyone who came for a visit or for a longer stay. Friends are invited to join the family in remembering Laszlo on Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Madsens Greenhouse, 160 Bayview Parkway (north of Davis Drive) in Newmarket from 2 to 5 p.m. Laszlo will be buried beside his parents in Szazhalombatta, Hungary. Suddenly at home, on Thursday, April 3, 2008, at age 80. Ken, beloved husband of Betty (née HEADON.) Loving father of Elizabeth Mary STANLEY (Keith WEST.) Predeceased by his son David William STANLEY (Nancy Scott STANLEY,) predeceased by his daughter Catharine Anne STANLEY (Andrew HELD.) Beloved grandfather of Sarah, Rob, Caitlin, Rachel, Heather, James, Jen, Meagan, Sarah, Andrew and loving great-grandfather of Joshua. Brother of Blanche, Bill, Ev, David C., Ruby and Dave. Survived by his sister Phoebe. Ken grew up in Toronto and was a graduate of McMaster University and University of Toronto. He worked for the Hamilton Board of Education for 18 years and was Principal of Scott Park Secondary School. He retired from the York Regional District School Board in 1988 as Superintendent of Curriculum. Ken was an all around athlete and played as a defensive end for the Hamilton Tiger Cats. He was elected to McMaster University's Football Team of the Century. He was a geographer, birder, walker, and spent many happy hours at his cottage on Georgian Bay. Passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side, on July 14, 2008 in his 61st year. Alan is now with the Lord after a valiant battle with cancer. Alan will be greatly missed by his wife Caroline and his loving children David (Tory WESTBROOK) and Danielle. Lovingly remembered by his parents W.A. (Al) and Agnes (DAISY) LAING of Thornbury and Caroline's parents Marcel and Georgette DUPLESSIS of Quebec. Greatly missed by his sister Faye YOUNG (David) and his brothers Bill (Diane) and Jim. Alan retired as an Air Canada Captain after a long aviation career and was extensively involved in the betterment of community organizations and the Air Cadet Program. Peacefully, at Victoria Hospital - London Health Sciences Centre, with his much loved wife by his side, Mr. Kenneth Crawford WESTMAN was ushered into the presence of his Lord on April 25, 2008 in his 82nd year. Predeceased by his faithful, devoted wife of 44 years Audrey Jean (née HARLTON) in 1998. Dear husband of Helen (nee EAGLESON) since October 2004. Loving father of Barry and Jamie (née FISCHER) WESTMAN, Cheryl and Allan ROACH, and Colleen and Dale DAWSON. Precious grandfather to Barry Robert, Daniel and Blake WESTMAN, Elizabeth, Natalie and Meghan ROACH, and Sawyer DAWSON. Fondly remembered by step-daughter Angela BISCHOFF. Predeceased by older brother Ronald (2005); survived by younger brother Ross and wife Cathie. Also survived by sister-in-law Mabel GUENTHER- FRASER and several nieces and nephews. Ken was well known in London as a businessman/ entrepreneur and owner-operator for 41 years of Ken Westman Automotive Ltd. at three different locations on Oxford Street East. In recent years, he would be recognized by many in north London as the white-haired gentleman who played the harmonica at Loblaws when providing entertainment for the mezzanine or when collecting for the Salvation Army kettle campaign in the store's foyer. Ken took pleasure in writing frequent letters to the London Free Press Editor and was an enthusiastic member of the Northpark Senior Men's Breakfast Club. He was a loyal Detroit Tigers and Red Wings fan. Also an avid car race enthusiast, Ken attended the Indianapolis 500 thirty-seven times. Ken was often seen driving about town in his treasured 1977 yellow Cadillac. Friends and family will be received at Memorial Funeral Home 1559 Fanshawe Park Rd. E. for extended visitation on Tuesday, April 29, 2008 from 5-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m. Reverend Allan Roach of The Gathering Place and Revival Centre officiating. Westman had passion for putting customers first

Before value-added became a buzzword, Ken WESTMAN was known to go to his store after-hours to satisfy the purchase needs of a regular customer.
"He had a good relationship with his customers and he liked to keep them happy," his son, Barry WESTMAN, recalled.
"He'd work six or seven days a week if it was necessary," he said.
WESTMAN died recently at 81.
In 1954, he opened an independent after-market auto parts and accessories dealership on Oxford Street East and for more than 40 years competed against retail giants such as Canadian Tire.
Ken Westman Automotive Ltd. operated at three Oxford Street locations over the years, using lower mark-up and personal service to offset the advantages of the big stores.
"Custom cars are a passion and my father understood that. He loved to talk cars with customers," said his son.
Regulars often drove in from Exeter, Saint Thomas, Stratford, Strathroy and Woodstock.
Stock car drivers from the United States, who raced at Delaware and Nilestown, often visited WESTMAN's, too.
"Dad had a great sense of humour and he was very opinionated that was part of his appeal," said his son.
"He loved London and he was always advocating for ways to make the city better," said Helen, his wife for the past four years.
Free Press readers also knew WESTMAN as a prolific letter writer, whose wide-ranging topics included dog droppings on streets, hockey brawls and hospitals gouging visitors for parking. The newspaper published about 70 of his letters between 1995 and In his last letter last November, he urged city council to put more emphasis on public-works spending in the wake of a watermain break that caused a sinkhole at Dundas and Wellington streets.
WESTMAN was married to Audrey Jean HARITON for 44 years. For many of those years, he made an annual trek to the Indianapolis 500 car race, sometimes with family, sometimes with Friends.
"He loved the Indy," said Barry WESTMAN. "He got hooked on it the first time he went."
Everywhere the son went, even to this day, he's asked: "Are you related to Ken WESTMAN?"
"For me, it's the inevitable question and I'm good with it. He was a great, loving dad and a very good provider for the family," he said.
WESTMAN was a charitable man who annually volunteered at a Christmas collection kettle for the Salvation Army, said Helen.

Al always said he lucky on the 7th day, in 1927. We were ones to have known was born 7th month the lucky him. Al had an uncanny knack for understanding people, which served him well, working with his grandfather on the farm or working on the railroad, to where he finally found his true calling, selling real estate, which lead to starting his own house building company. Wrapping up his career as co-founder and Chairman of Jayman MasterBUILT - pretty good for a fellow with a grade 8 education. What made Al special was his common sense approach, his ability to understand people, his strong intuition. Al always knew something was up, much to the chagrin of his 3 children, Jay, Diana and Janet daughter-in-law Karen WESTMAN; son-in-law Ken JOSEPH; five grandchildren, Matthew, Nicole, Sarah, Weston, Tanya and her husband Chris two great-grandchildren Paityn and Caleb. With his wife of 53 years Beverly, who predeceased Al in 2003, they traveled the world together, not just once but twice. When he was not cruising in style you could find Al fishing in his favourite place on his boat in the Okanagan. When he was not doing that, his other passion was his business, he loved it, whether he was at home or the office; we always continued the discussion over dinner, lunch - just about anywhere, anytime. Al had strong life values which were evident by the trust and longevity of business associates, lifelong Friendships and family. A humble man who was known to express in his own way 'pinch me'; who said 'I was born lucky', that is the one thing he got wrong We were the lucky ones!!
