Roger passed away suddenly, but peacefully at his home in Mississauga on February 2, 2008, in his 71st year. Former husband of Donna Elaine KIRBY (née WALL;) very proud dad of Jon (Z'Anne,) Michael, and Lisa (Gary); much loved brother of Phyllis (Jack) and 'Uncle Roger' to Christopher, Gregory, Stephen and Philip; beloved brother-inlaw to Carole and Ralph, and adored uncle to Gary, Catherine and Lori brother-in-law to David and Robbie LYNN and uncle to Dawn and Brandon lifelong friend to many, including Don and Nancy, Bob, Linda, Terry and Nikki; Roger will be deeply missed by all. In keeping with his wishes (and who he was), instead of the usual visitation and/or funeral service, family and Friends will gather on Sunday April 6th for a 'good old fashioned Irish wake' to remember Roger, to share all their stories and their love, to laugh, and to raise a pint in celebration of Roger's life, his inimitable personality and his indomitable spirit. Dr. H. REGINALD and his wife Dorothy CATTELL, Sheila Marilyn (CATTELL) and her husband Gary ELDER and the late Betty Alice (CATTELL) URSACKI (1991.) Wally was born in Saint Thomas on June 23, 1937, the son of the late John Harold (November 3, 1980) and Ethel Veril (CARPENTER) CATTEL (March 19, 2001.) Wally lived all his life in Saint Thomas and was a retired Horticulturist with the City of Saint Thomas. He was also a member of the Elgin Regiment Trumpet Band. Mass the Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Anne's Church on Thursday at 10: 00 a.m. Burial to follow in Holy Angels' Cemetery. No visitation prior to the service. Member of Saint_James Presbyterian Church, served on the Board of Managers, was an Elder, Clerk of Session and sang in the choir. S/Sgt. James WYLIE Retired R.C.M.P. born in Scotland, on May 11, 1928 and raised in Brampton, Ontario, succumbed quickly to leukaemia and pneumonia at Brampton Civic Hospital on December 30, 2007. Predeased by his parents Jean and James WYLIE of Brampton, he leaves behind 3 adult children, John David Robertson WYLIE (Pam) of Toronto, James Brock WYLIE of Westminster, British Columbia and Cara Jade WYLIE (George,) of Qualicum Beach, British Columbia, his brother Jack (Joyce) WYLIE and nephew Scott WYLIE of Brampton, also Sammara (Jean) WALLACE of Dundas who was his marriage partner for 35 years. Jim was active in the community being a member of Brampton Golf and Country Club, Avonlea Curling Club, Toronto Assoc. Police Curling Club and Escot Curling league. Besides golfing and curling he travelled extensively throughout: N. America, Australia, United Kingdom, Europe and to the family cottage in Parry Sound, Ontario Proud supporter of: Royal Canadian Mounted Police Veterans Assoc., Royal Can. Legion, and local Libraries, he was an avid reader known for his thirst for knowledge and keen wit. Previously employed with: Dale Estates, Victory Aircraft, A.V. Roe, Royal Canadian Mounted Police (1949-1976) serving in Regina, Ottawa and Toronto detachments, Texaco/Esso (1980-92). He will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew him. Cremation will take place with remains interred at Brampton Cemetery. A Memorial will be held at the Brampton Golf Club on 7700 Kennedy Road, on Saturday January 12th, 1-4 p.m. for family and Friends. This is how we know and remember Earlene Lee CARROLL, who died suddenly but peacefully at her home this past week.
She believed greatness and kindness are gifts we need to give each day; that unconditional love means unconditional; that doing the right thing is more important than doing the best thing that we never stop learning and should never stop trying; and that good outlasts all, especially in a game of bridge.
Cowgirl turned city girl, Earlene trained as a nurse in Alberta, lived in Ohio and New York, and in 1965 chose Bramalea-Brampton to settle and raise a family in. She returned to university to study economics and "Lee" became synonymous with the Brampton-Bramalea Real Estate Board. She valued her career a fraction of the value she placed on Friendships she made along her journey.
Earlene sparked radiance everywhere. Her love endures, especially in her sister Pat HOWEY (Calgary,) her children Jim (Texas,) Lee-Ellen (Ottawa) and Richard (Georgetown), and the lights of her life - her grandchildren: Sean, Sabrina, Peter, Gabriel, Quinton, Regan, Muiredach and Jordan.
We thank her for finding us, gracing us, and loving us, 1936-2008.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Scott Funeral Home, 289 Main Street North, Bramption, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. All are welcome. Her remains will be interred in Edmonton next to her pre-deceased sisters Donna LEE and Betty WALLACE, and her parents Earle and Agnes LEE.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Judge WALLACE at Hospice Niagara, St. Catharines, Ontario, on Saturday, June 28th, 2008, aged 77.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda TENNYSON, Vancouver, British Columbia, son, Bill WALLACE, Vancouver, British Columbia, daughter, Kimberly POST (Barry), Niagara Falls, Ontario and cherished grandchildren, Victoria, William and Joshua POST. He is also survived by several cousins in Fort Erie and Ridgeway and long time Friends Millie Townsley and Ann Cuny.
Judge WALLACE was born in Buffalo, New York and was predeceased by his parents Wilfred WALLACE (1957) and Caroline WALLACE (1996,) Fort Erie, Ontario. Judge WALLACE received his elementary and secondary education in Fort Erie, Ontario.
Following his graduation from McMaster University he attended Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1957. He then joined the law firm of Raymond, Spencer, Law and McInnis in Welland. He later practiced with the law firm of Griffiths, Sharpe, Clement and Wallace in Niagara Falls. He served as an alderman on the Niagara Falls City Council from 1973 to December, 1975. He was appointed a Provincial Court Judge in January, 1976 and sat on the bench until he retired in February, 2006. He was known for his insightful decisions and enjoyed a reputation being a very firm and fair-minded judge. He was a longtime member of Delta Chi Fraternity and the Palmer Masonic Order, Fort Erie, Ontario. He was a faithful fan of the Buffalo Bills football team since 1967. His family and Friends will remember Judge WALLACE as a very kind, gentle man who was known for always coming up with humourous one-liners.
A special thanks to Doctor B. BASSIL, Doctor E. HUGHES and Doctor Brian KERLEY and the nurses of Greater Niagara General Hospital and Hospice Niagara for their compassionate care.
Resting at Hetherington and Deans Funeral Chapel (Niagara Falls 905-354-5614), where the family will receive Friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. There will be a one-hour visitation at Stamford United Church prior to the service celebrating Judge WALLACE's life on Monday, July 7th, 2008 at 11 a.m. A private family burial will take place at another time. We wish to express our many thanks to so many people who helped us at the time of Dad's passing June 9, 2008. We were very touched by the outpouring of generosity from our neighbours, relatives and Friends through the preparation of food, sympathy cards, mass card offerings, charitable and floral tributes. Dad was blessed to be surrounded by many caring people during his time at home over the last few years. His 'support staff' included kindness and care from Janet BILKE, Margie CAMPBELL, and Rosemary BALFOUR. In particular, Nancy O'REILLY is fondly remembered for her special attention in helping to organize his appointments, and ensuring he was able to attend mass and enjoy special music events such as 'Tuesday Toonies'. She became his 5th daughter. Upon relocating to the Ritz Villa in Mitchell, he enjoyed continued care and attention from the staff. He loved when the staff acknowledged him with "Hi Joe" - so happy that everyone knew his name! A special visitor he looked forward to her visiting and saying the rosary was Pauline (Geottler) HARTFIEL who shared her time with him reminiscing about many of the Dublin families from years ago. During the few days that Dad was at Stratford General Hospital, he received calming and gentle care from the nursing staff; we know that his most memorable visit was from Fr. Paul NICHOLSON who bestowed upon him the Sacrament of the Sick. We were overwhelmed with the support of Friends and family who attended the funeral visitation on Thursday. Special thanks to the ladies of the Seaforth Legion for their preparing a hot meal for our family between the two visiting times. Dad's funeral was shared with Friends and family and was beautifully concelebrated by Fr. Chris GILLESPIE and Fr. MOONEY. Dad always enjoyed the sounds of the pipe organ at St. Patrick's Church and we appreciated the gift of music from Brian ECKERT, the organist, and the choir members of St. Patrick's and St. Vincent De Paul. The Catholic Women's League provided a tasty lunch following the funeral mass. Our thanks to Ruth and Ross from Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home for the kindness they shared with our family throughout the funeral preparations. Although Dad lived a long and healthy life, it is still difficult to 'say goodbye'. We are comforted by our trust in a life afterward, that Dad is now reunited with Mom (Mamie) after 6½ years. His life is now complete.
