Suddenly as the result of an accident on Wednesday, May 14, 2008. Cam MacLEAN of Owen Sound in his 48th year. Cam is survived by his wife Caroline, daughters Charla and Christine and her fiancé Joe PALKA, parents Garry and Marie MacLEAN, brother Larry MacLEAN (Jaye Ann) all of Owen Sound, Linda HAMMOND (Larry) of Sydney, Nova Scotia, Katherine MacLEAN (Jack) of Kitchener. Son-in-law of Wilhelmina VAN VELDEN. Brother-in-law of Robert VAN VELDEN (Tammy.) He will be greatly missed by his nieces Miranda MacLEAN, Erin HAMMOND and Nicolle VAN VELDEN, nephew Keith HAMMOND and great nephew Shawn QUINTON. A Celebration of Cam's Life will be held at the Alliance Church, 440 7th Avenue East, Owen Sound on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. BEESON, Edward George
Age 87, of London, passed away at Parkwood Hospital, on Saturday, March 29, 2008. He was born in Lowestoft, England and came to Canada in 1920. son of the late Leonard and Grace (EDWARDS) BEESON. Beloved husband of Isabelle (McKAY- BROWN) BEESON. Survived by two daughters: Norma Jean and her husband Melvin LE LACHEUR, and Dianne BEESON, and son Edward and his wife Pamela, all of Nova Scotia. He was the grandfather of 7 grandchildren and great-grandfather of 7 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his brothers Norman and Leonard. Edward served 33 years with the Canadian army, overseas World War II, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and United Nations Emergency Force, retiring as a Master Warrant Officer. He took leave for a year then returned to Base Maintenance as a civilian mechanic for 11 years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps, Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Blue Beret, Federal Superannuates National Association Associations and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #119, Ingersoll. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. with a Legion service at 7: 00 p.m. under the auspices of the Duchess of Kent Branch #263 at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North where the funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 1: 00 p.m. Pastor Dorman QUINTON and Pastor Dave STEPHENS of Egerton Baptist Church officiating. Of Saint Thomas, passed away on Sunday, May 18th, 2008 at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital after a long battle with cancer, in his 57th year. Beloved husband of Emily (QUIPP) CLINANSMITH. Sadly missed by his mother-in-law Kay QUIPP and brother-in-law Kevin QUIPP. Cherished nephew of Jo and Ken JONES. Also missed by his cousins and many Friends. Pre-deceased by an infant sister Janet. Mike was born in Saint Thomas on June 25th, 1951, the son of the late Gilbert and Helen (WICKETT) CLINANSMITH. He worked for International Carriers, Tilbury Inc. Sadly missed by her son Kevin QUIPP and daughter Emily CLINANSMITH. Daughter of the late Jim and Pearl THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON. She is survived by brothers Harold (Marjorie) and Jimmy THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON and sisters Ruth MacKAY, Isabel (Doug) MURPHY and Barbara (Peter) PIDGEON and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Kay was born in Bainsville on October 24th, 1934.
