Peacefully, with her family by her side at Four Counties Health Services, Newbury on Sunday, February 24th, 2008. Loraine TUNKS (née TURNER) formerly of West Lorne in her 84th year. Predeceased by her loving friend and husband Lloyd A. TUNKS (1987,) her mother Sarah Mae MUNROE (née TURNER,) her step-father William E. MUNROE and her brother Kinsley MUNROE. Dearly loved and sadly missed by daughter Carol JEWELL (Don) and son Floyd TUNKS, granddaughters Myah NORRIS (Hugh), Carla JEWELL, Erika SOUTHERN (Mark), Chad TUNKS (Kelly), Rhonda McCAFFREY (Sean), Bambi TUNKS (David SCHELTEMA) and six great-grandchildren. Beloved wife of the late Frederick "Ted" HOWIE (2003.) Dearly loved mother of James H. "Jim" HOWIE and his wife Angela of Port Stanley, Fred HOWIE and his wife Brenda of Woodstock, and Cheryl NORRIS and her husband Pat of Windsor. Dear sister of Jean, Helen, Gordon, and Richard. Also fondly remembered by a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a daughter-in-law, Patricia "Pat" HOWIE, a grand_son, Jason HOWIE, and several brothers and sisters. Born in North Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, June 19, 1920, she came to Port Stanley in 1956. Alice formerly worked as an R.N.A. at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital. She was a member of Christ Church (Anglican), Port Stanley, the Port Stanley 55+ Club, and a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary to Last Post Branch #410, Royal Canadian Legion, Port Stanley. Graham was born March 8, 1965 in London, Ontario. He died tragically on February 19, 2008 after a fall while skiing with family and Friends. Graham is survived by his loving wife Martine and cherished children Jonathan, Phillipe and Claudia; his father Josiah NORRIS and five siblings: Anne HOUSSER, Trish DESBRISAY, David NORRIS, Barb POYNTON and Heather McGEAN. Predeceased by his mother Rosamond NORRIS in 2005. Graham loved kite boarding, wind surfing, squash and skiing. Nan was born May 14, 1923. She was the sixth of seven children to bless the van Nostrand home at 91 Delaware Ave., Toronto. Her passing was very peacefully on February 21, 2008, under the gentle care of Humber River Regional Hospital. Nan was a wonderfully colourful lady and will be dearly missed by many Friends and family members. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth Frances (Keary) LINDSAY and her partner Richard Hugh YOUNG and her much loved granddaughter, Teanna Jayne LINDSAY. Nan was the beloved wife of the late Doctor Stanley NORRIS and will be remembered fondly by his son Peter Newton, his wife Elizabeth (Hilton) WARD and their sons Benjamen Norris and Charles Gordon WARD. Nan was predeceased by her loving parents John and Eleanor (WEDD) VAN NOSTRAND, sisters, Katherine STOCKWELL, Gretchen BOOTH, Ruth LILLICO, Helen WRIGHT, Mary KNOWLES and her brother John VAN NOSTRAND. On Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at her home in London, Ontario, Denise Alice DE MUY passed away after a battle with cancer. Dear sister and friend of Di, Dave and Donna, including Dianne's husband Erich ZEUCH and David's wife Wendy GRANT. Loved and respected aunt of Dianne's children Jill, Kris and Brad, including Jillian's husband Tim HANKEWICH, Kristyne's husband Jan CZEPUTYK and their daughters Anna Mae and Holly, and Bradley's wife Carole; as well as Donna's daughters Nat and Jen, including Natalie's husband Rob MERRICK and Jennifer's husband Kerry NORTH and their daughters Mackenzie and Shay. She will be missed by numerous cousins of the DE MUY and Ferguson families. Predeceased by her parents Doris (FERGUSON) and Chuck DE MUY. She will be fondly remembered by childhood Friends, colleagues from Bell, Friends from the holistic field and Kids on the Block and a multitude of others. Denise worked at Bell for 31 years and influenced many people during that time. At Denise's request there will be no funeral and cremation has taken place. Her final resting place will be in the family plot at Holy Angel's Cemetery in Saint Thomas. When I think of Denise, I think of her eyes and they look out for all of us. I think of her ears and she hears what we have to say. I think of her hands and she reaches out for us. I think of her arms and she hugs us. I think of her heart and she loves us. Predeceased by her beloved husband William Lorne ARMSTRONG (Nov. 3, 1992.)

CHAPMAN, Cathy CHAPMAN. Special great grandmother of Keisha BELL,
Zachary, Josh and Jake ARMSTRONG, Cooper ARMSTRONG LONG, Brittany, Alexis and
Lauren ARMSTRONG. Survived by sister Dora SAGER of Drchester.
Predeceased by brother Hugh and Vera DELOSH and sisters Clara DICKIE,
Audrey and Ernie TRUMEN, Ruby and Glen WAFER. Remembered by nephews Frank and
Donald NORTHGRAVE. Visitation was 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm Monday. Funeral
Service was 2 pm Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at Saint Paul's Anglican Church,
Manitowaning. Burial at Hilly Grove Cemetery.

Died peacefully at Victoria Hospital on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 with his granddaughter Jo-Ann BAXTER by his side, after a valiant struggle with cancer. Survived by his cherished wife of 23 years, Emily FAW of Lambeth. Lovingly missed by Emily's children Robert Alan (Karen) FAW, Barbara Louise (Wayne) GENTTNER. Brother Neil (Georgina) FAW. Predeceased by Mary ROSS (1967) and Alma NORTON (1984.) Remembered by Alma's children Florence (James) YOUNG, Donna (Lloyd) MILLS and Margaret (Charles) LIZMORE. Peacefully at Mount Hope - Saint_Joseph's Hospital, London on Friday, May 16, 2008 Jean LOMBARDO in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Hubert LOMBARDO (2006.) Survived by her sister Shirley (Peggy) FRAUMENI. Loving aunt, great-aunt, great- great-aunt and great-great-great-aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Gertrude NORTON, her brothers Leslie and Stanley and her sister Elsie THORPE. Jean was a devoted, dedicated teacher for 40 years. First teaching at rural school near Thamesville, in Ballymote, North London and the Thames Valley District School Board at Chelsey Ave. Public School in London. Jean and Hubert loved their cottage and Friends in Orchard Beach, Port Stanley where they spent many summers, and their daily trips to the Covent Garden Market to greet their Friends. The family will receive Friends at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Monday, May 19th, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Service will be held at St. George's Anglican Church, Wharncliffe Rd. North on Tuesday, May 20th, 2008 at 10 o'clock. Interment in Saint Peter's Cemetery. His professional career as a clinical psychologist started with the Prison Service in England before he and Susan emigrated to Canada where he worked in Winnipeg, Vancouver and Ontario. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. CLARK, Shirley Ruth (née NORWICH)
Shirley died suddenly at her home at River Ridge, Guelph, on Thursday, July 10, 2008, in her 81st year. She was the beloved wife and friend, for fifty-eight years, of Wilson CLARK. Shirley was the dear mother of Diane (Paul), Gail (Wes), Mary Jo, and Ian (Chris). She was the cherished Nanna of Raven, Roshi, Barbara, Tony, Erik, and Hilary. Sam and Marley will miss their biscuits.
Shirley graduated from the University of Toronto (1950) after studying Physiotherapy. She still met regularly with the Girls' Athletic Club, Humberside Collegiate (1946). Until recently, Shirley was an active curler, golfer, and participant at the Guelph Country Club. She was involved continuously with the Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire and its Opportunity Shop.
Friends are invited to meet with the family at the Gilbert MacIntyre and son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guleph, on Tuesday, July 15, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 11 a.m., followed by a Reception at the Guelph Country Club. NORWOOD, David, M.A., LL.B.
David died peacefully at home on Sunday, February 10, 2008 at age 74, after a brief battle with cancer. He was predeceased in 1984 by his beloved wife Marion. David was a devoted father to Ailsa and will also be greatly missed by Kathleen McPherson, his companion of many years, his cousins and Friends, and his numerous professional colleagues. David emigrated from Scotland where he was a gold medalist at the Law School of Glasgow University. He joined the Canada Life Assurance Company in 1957, serving with great distinction as Vice President and General Counsel from 1973 until his retirement in 1993. David was the author of the definitive textbook on life insurance law (3 editions). For many years, he also wrote a monthly publication, Benchmarks, critiquing new developments and trends. Surprise - he was also a prize-winning author of many delightful poems. In 2007, David was honoured at the Annual Meeting of the Legal Section of the Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association for his 50 years of outstanding leadership and expertise in life and health insurance law. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel of the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Ave. W., Toronto (2 lights west of Yonge St.) on Monday February 18th at 4: 00 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. In accordance with David's wishes, a private funeral and cremation took place on February 13. A Wake will be held, following the Memorial Service, at one of David's favourite Pubs, where he especially enjoyed the music and singing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Salvation Army or any other charity.
