Died suddenly in hospital of cancer, February 4, 2008, in Portland, Oregon, U.S.A. Jay was born in Toronto, son of the late Doctor F.R. WILKINSON and the late poet and writer Anne (GIBBONS) WILKINSON. He leaves behind his brother Alan G. of Inglesham House, Swinden, Wiltshire, United Kingdom his sister Heather KONTAXOPOULOS and family George, Robert, Katherine of Vancouver.
In 1976 while living in Vancouver he met his beloved and caring Vivian HOLSTROM later to be married in Portland, Oregon to the great happiness of his immediate family, cousins and close Friends. Jay continued to persue his avid interest in photography and music (cello) while living a quiet life in Portland shared always with his endearing family pets. He continued to maintain his connections with Nora (EGUIDI) WILKINSON of Ottawa, mother of his niece Anna MacCHI (Francesco and 4 children) of Galliate, Milano, Italy.
Jay was always willing to share his happy memories of family, cousins and cottage-Lake Simcoe life and wished to return home for burial. To that end a private family interment will take place sometime in mid-summer at Christ Church, Roches Point, Lake Simcoe with reception to follow. As an expression of sympathy donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Humane Society would be appreciated.

Passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 at Strathmere Lodge, in her 89th year. Harriet Jean Kendall (PARKER) was the beloved wife of Loren GAST for over 70 years, mother of Roger (Ruth) of Strathroy, David (Sharon) of London, and Karl (Linda) of Alvinston. She leaves behind eight grandchildren - Paul (Laurie) GAST, Bryan (Kathy) GAST, Rob (Carina) GAST, Marty (Holly) GAST, Kent (Norma) COLEMAN, Karrie (Mark) BROWN, Josh GAST, and Janene GAST, and fourteen great-grandchildren - Jeffrey, Jillian and Victoria GAST, Zachary, Mathew and Grace GAST, Amanda and Kayleigh GAST, Kendra and Jackson COLEMAN, and Jasmine, Desyrea, Deante and Keearra BROWN. Jean will be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews and will be sadly missed by her family and many Friends. Peacefully, on Tuesday, March 25th, 2008 at Sunnybrook Hospital - Veterans' K-Wing, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Eleanor for 62 years. Loving father of Wendy and her husband Kevin O'BRIEN. Cherished "Grandad" of Kyle. Doug will be missed and lovingly remembered by his sisters-in-law Joan and Margaret and their families, niece Diane, as well as extended family and Friends. Doug always lived his life to the fullest. He was very energetic, outgoing, friendly, warm and generous. He enjoyed many activities: sailing, flying, music and golfing but his passion was his family and many Friends.
Our family extends a heartfelt thank you to the caring and compassionate staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Sunnybrook Hospital.
