Ann OGONOSKI passed away December 20th, 2007 at the Foothills Hospital, Calgary, Alberta, at the age of 60. She will be dearly missed by her husband Chris; children K.C. WILLCOCK, of Calgary, Angela MAITLAND (Tim) of Toronto, Laura OGONOSKI (Al) of Calgary, Paula OGONOSKI of Ft. McMurray and Melanie OGONOSKI of Paris nine grandchildren and one great-grand_son. Ann is also survived by her mother Dolores HENDERSON of Owen Sound, four brothers and sisters Heather SORENSON (Paul) and David HENDERSON (Janet,) all of Shallow Lake and Paula CAMERON and Rick HENDERSON (June) all of Owen Sound; and many other relatives and Friends. Ann was predeceased by her father Harry HENDERSON in 2005. Ann was born and raised in Owen Sound. In 1975, she moved west with her family settling in Calgary in 1976. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 5th at Calvary Missionary Church, Owen Sound at 2: 00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation of Canada.

I would like to take this time to say "Thank You". But a simple "Thank You" doesn't come close to expressing the gratitude I feel for all the support that I have received from family and Friends. It's in difficult times like these that we realize just how many Friends we have, and how much they really mean to us. Throughout his life, Ric has touched so many people with, his genuine smile, his laugh, his jokes, his stories, his generosity, and quick impulse to help anyone or any cause that came along. One of Ric's most important accomplishments in life was the many Friends he acquired along the way. The respect and final farewell that all of you gave him will never be forgotten. Just as I'm certain that Ric will never be forgotten, because there will always be a part of him in all our hearts. Of Saint Thomas, passed away peacefully on Thursday April 3, 2008 at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 82nd year. Dearly loved husband of Mary (LOW/LOWE/LOUGH) WISE and much loved father of Cathy and her husband Tim RAE of Beaumont, Texas, Beth and her husband Tom VINC of London and Michael and his wife Caterina WISE of Brights Grove. Dear brother of Shirley HENDERSON (late husband George) of Saint Thomas and George and his wife Jean WISE of Saint Thomas. Loved puppa of Jason and his wife Allyson RAE, Lindsay RAE and her partner Orland REYES, Carlie VINC and Angela, Noah and Sarah WISE. Sadly missed by a number of nieces and nephews. Bob was born in Saint Thomas on October 20, 1926, the son of the late Frederick and Mary (POOLE) WISE. He worked with the O.P.P. and then the Saint Thomas Psychiatric Hospital. Bob served in the Navy during World War 2 and was a member of Branch 41 of the Royal Canadian Legion. He was a member of Saint Thomas Lodge #44 Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons, a member of the Hi-Ro Shrine Club, member and past President of the Oriental Band and a member of the Golden "K" Kiwanis Club. He also was an avid golfer and bridge player. A public Service to celebrate Robert's life will be held Monday afternoon at 1: 00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas. Visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and Monday from 12: 00 to service time. Cremation has taken place, with private entombment in Elmdale Cemetery. Passed away suddenly and peacefully on Wednesday, January 2, 2008; at the age of 74 years, at the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital from a stroke. Helen was predeceased by her parents Irene and Napolean MELANSON and survived by her younger brother Everett of Bathurst, New Brunswick where she was born on June 10, 1933. She was married in August of 1958 and moved to Ontario where she became the mother of 3 children, Cheryl (Rick) HENDERSON, Susan CLERK, and David (April) HARVEY. She was an active member of the Collingwood Legion (Branch 63) and follower of Saint Mary's Church. She was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's and moved to the Chartwell retirement home in Collingwood. Among her many talents were her love of socializing, knitting, baking and activities such as pool, lawn bowling, and darts. A warm and caring person, she will be greatly missed by her surviving children, Friends, and 6 grandchildren, Ryan and Justin McINTYRE, Alex CLERK, and Andrew, Melissa, and Dylan HARVEY. Passed away at the White Eagle Residence, Toronto, on February 13, 2008, at the age of 94. Beloved mother of Bruce (Gale) and Barbara, all of Toronto, wife of the late Etheridge W. LEONARD (Oak Bank, Manitoba,) and sister of the late Reginald SMITH (Winnipeg.) She is fondly remembered by Jean SMITH (Winnipeg,) Betty-June and Phil HALEY (Toronto), Evelyn HENDERSON (Ottawa), Wesley LEONARD (Simcoe), other members of her extended family and many Friends. The daughter of Hylton and Maud SMITH, Adelene was born and raised in Minnedosa, Manitoba. She had a lifelong passion for music and was a talented pianist. She achieved the highest level of accomplishment in piano teaching at the Royal Conservatory of Music. She was also very active in the Girl Guide movement before moving to Winnipeg to begin her teaching career. She and Etheridge married in 1943 and five years later they moved to Oak Bank, Manitoba, where they spent the rest of their 53-year marriage. She taught piano in Oak Bank for several years before returning to teaching school in Winnipeg. While continuing to teach, she studied at the University of Winnipeg, graduating with a B.A. in 1972. Many years at Sisler High School rounded out her teaching career. Adelene was always active in the Oak Bank United Church, where she served as choir leader, organist, board member and in many other capacities. She was also an early member of The Costume Museum of Canada. In 2001, she reluctantly said goodbye to her many Friends in Manitoba and moved to Toronto to be closer to her children. A memorial service will be held at the Oak Bank United Church, Oak Bank, Manitoba at 11 a.m. on February 23 with the Rev. Dawn Ballantine-Dickson officiating. Cremation has taken place. William Dean ELIAS passed away on Wednesday March 12, 2008. He was 56. Bill was born at Doctors Hospital in New York City, August 30, 1951. He was educated at the American School in London, England and then graduated from the Brunswick School in Greenwich, Connecticut. He received his MBA from the Wharton School of Business at The University of Pennsylvania. Bill moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada in the early 70's where he met his future wife Pauline ROSENBERG. He established a successful advertising agency, Elias Marketing and Communications, which specialized in real estate marketing and research. He then moved his family to Palm Beach, Florida in 1990 to follow his love of beautiful homes and architecture and established Elias Management and Construction, Inc. which he ran with joyful passion until his passing. He is survived by his mother, Rea ELIAS of Jupiter Island, a brother Albert ELIAS of West Palm Beach, by his daughter Vanessa Elias KRELSTEIN and her husband Lee KRELSTEIN of Miami, his two sons Jonathan and Benjamin ELIAS, his granddaughter Stella Rose KRELSTEIN, his ex-wife Pauline ELIAS and his partner Dale HENDERSON. He was an adoring and devoted father, son, husband, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed. 'Ray of sunshine' slain; friend faces murder charge

Toronto -- The parents of Karina NEFF knew something was amiss when the family dog, Max, returned home alone Monday after 10 p.m.
Ms. NEFF, who was developmentally delayed, would often walk her Doberman in her neighbourhood near the Collegeway and Mississauga Road, neighbour Brian HENDERSON said yesterday.
"She'd sing and talk to herself," Mr. HENDERSON, 63, said.
So when the Doberman returned alone, Ms. NEFF's family contacted the police.
At about 12: 30 p.m. Tuesday, police searching for the missing 31-year-old discovered her body between two fallen trees off a path in a densely wooded area about one kilometre into Windy Hollow Park, near Erin Mills Parkway and Dundas Street.
Police did not release a cause of death, but said an examination of her body revealed obvious signs of trauma.
Yesterday, police charged Jason OSBORNE, 22, of Mississauga with first-degree murder.
He made a brief court appearance and was remanded into custody.
Homicide Inspector Norm ENGLISH said Mr. OSBORNE and Ms. NEFF had a previous relationship, but would not say anything further.
"They had an on-again, off-again relationship," he said.
Windy Hollow Park has a series of connected pathways that spread out along South Millway and the Collegeway in Mississauga.
On one street near the park yesterday, a Peel police cruiser was parked in a driveway of a home where neighbours said three men in their 20s and 30s lived. Police would not comment.
Nicole HENDRICKS, who lives across the street from the house, said that around 10 p.m. on Monday she saw Ms. NEFF walking toward the park with two of those men and one other man, and that only two men came back.
At the NEFF family home yesterday, Ms. NEFF's cousin Kevin answered the door with tears in his eyes. "Right now there's nothing to say," he said politely.
In a statement released by police, the family described Ms. NEFF as a "loving and caring daughter, sister and friend."
"We are a very close family and find ourselves in a state of shock. …Karina NEFF was a ray of sunshine and saw the good in everyone and everything," the statement said.
On a rainy day in Mississauga, some residents who live near the park carried flowers to the location where she was found.
Alicia THELWELL, 30, said she knew Ms. NEFF from their time at the Applewood School, a Peel Region high school for students with disabilities.
"I didn't think this could happen to her," she said.
"I'm still shaking right now."
Police said they would not speculate about Mr. OSBORNE's mental capacity.
"There's no reason for the public's health or welfare to be in jeopardy here because they knew each other," Peel Police spokesman Wayne PATTERSON said.
"This is an isolated incident."
The death was Peel's 16th homicide this year.

On Tuesday, March 11th, 2008 at the Briton House in her 79th year. Greatly loved wife and companion of the late T. Gavin HENDERSON. Fondly▲ remembered by the families of Morley BAIN of Zephyr and Lynn and Walter Gyr of Luzern, Switzerland. Norma retired from the former Etobicoke Board of Education where she was head of the Geography Department for 28 years, first at Burnhamthorpe C.I. then North Albion Collegiate. Cremation has taken place with burial in Mount Albert Cemetery at a later date. If desired, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
