At his residence on Monday, July 21st, 2008, Pat PAOLUCCI of London in his 61st year. Beloved husband of Linda (BROOKS) PAOLUCCI. Pat is survived by his family, Shannon DUBARRY (Steve,) Wendy PILGRIM (Andrew SERVICE) and Kelly PILGRIM (Jamie LAFRAMBOIS) as well as grandchildren Nathan and Lauren, Jacob and Landon. Also sadly missed by dear Friends, Barry and Wendy GILMOUR and their children Megan and Mark. Pat was proud to be on the Board of Directors of the Grand Bend Cruising Club where he had been an active member for 8 years. CREIGHTON, James Bracewell
Suddenly at Meighen Manor, Toronto on Sunday, June 15, 2008 in his 73rd year, after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease. Sadly missed by his beloved wife Cynthia and her daughters Nicole BELCOURT and Alexandra BELCOURT, her son Paul BELCOURT, and by his brother Douglas CREIGHTON and sister-in-law, Willa. Devoted uncle to Denny, Julia, David, Caro, Andrew, Kirstie and Zoe. Pre- deceased by his parents Denton CREIGHTON and Margaret (GILMOUR) of Montreal. Jim was born in Montreal on April 10, 1935 and attended Selwyn House School, Bishop's College School, McGill University and University of Western Ontario (MBA). Trained as an economist, Jim worked for many years with financial institutions first in Montreal and, since 1980, in Toronto. A keen skier and tennis player when he was younger, Jim maintained his interest in sports all his life. We shall all miss Jim's generosity of spirit and genuine caring for Friends and family which he continued to show even as his disease progressed. Special thanks to the staff of Dinnick Wing, 4th floor, Meighen Manor. At Jim's request, a private family service will be held. No flowers please but donations to the Parkinson Society of Canada would be greatly appreciated.

George Henry GILPIN
Novmeber 2, 1918 – November 21, 2008
In loving memory of George Henry Gilpin, November 2, 1918 – November 21,
2008. George Gilpin, a resident of Spring Bay, died at the Mindemoya
Hospital on Friday, November 21, 2008 at the age of 90 years. He was born
at Spring Bay, son of the late Earl and Annie (Lewis) Gilpin. George had
worked at INCO for a couple of years, then joined the Air Force and was
stationed in British Columbia. It was there he met his future bride,
Margaret, and was married in 1946. After the Air Force, George worked in
a sawmill for a time then in 1948, he returned home with Margaret and
farmed at Spring Bay. In 1977, he semi retired from farming, but still
helped Jim on his farm. George had a variety of interests including
curling, playing euchre, reading, watching Coronation Street and was
interested in politics. George was truly a gentleman and a gentle man. He
will be sadly missed by family and his many Friends. George was
predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret on June 14, 2006. Loving and
loved father of Jim and his friend Donna of Spring Bay, Anna and her
husband Ian Hall of Spring Bay and Peggy Trimmer of Providence Bay. Proud
grandfather of Bob Hall (Lisa), Greg Hall (Deb), George Hall, Steve
Trimmer (Chrissy), Brian Trimmer (predeceased April, 2006) (Julie),
Deanna Burns (Arron), Gord Gilpin (Anita), Michelle Gilpin (Jamie),
Shirley Anne (Jason predeceased) and Michael Gilpin and great
grandchildren Zachary, Jonathon (predeceased), Spencer, Elaina, Sophia,
Ellie Anna, Morgan, Olivia, Patrick, Brianna, Lily, Emma, Nathan
(predeceased April, 2006), Clayton, Aryanna, Jenna, Timothy James, Dylan
and Lucas. Dear brother of Elwood of Gore Bay (wife Elva predeceased),
Mary Cockerill (Spud) of Manitoba and Shirley Routliffe (Earl) of
Kitchener. Predeceased by brother Lewis and his wife Rita. Friends called

Gore Bay on Monday, November 24, 2008 at 11 am with Reverend Mary Jo Eckert

GILRAY, John Stuart Alexander, D.V.M., V.S.
The family of horse lover and equine veterinarian Doctor John GILRAY is profoundly sad to announce that their husband/father/grandfather has succumbed to cancer at the age of 78. John died peacefully in his sleep on June 5, 2008. He was the beloved partner of Connie SANDERS, much-loved father of Stuart (Linda) GILRAY, Barbara (Tom) WIEBE, Ann GILRAY and Janet GILRAY (Rick LETESTU,) and much-loved brother of Barbara WILLIAMS. " Grampa John" will also be greatly missed by Vanessa, Paige and Jillian WIEBE, Dallas GILRAY and Mitchell POTTS.
Passionate about horses from age 13, John always considered himself lucky that his vocation was also his avocation. He graduated in 1954 from the Ontario Veterinary College and practiced equine medicine first in Ontario and then in British Columbia from 1959 to 2007. His accomplishments and contributions to the equine world were many and varied. In 2004, he was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award from Horse Council British Columbia for outstanding service to the horse industry of British Columbia, and that same year the Royal Horse Show in Toronto made him an Honorary Veterinarian in recognition of 50 years of volunteer service.
During his career, John was an Equine Canada judge and steward an FEI veterinarian; chairman of Zone 5 of the Canadian Horse Shows Association and a national vice president of its successor, the Canadian Equestrian Federation; founder of the Northwest International Horse show, which under his 15-year chairmanship was the premier all-breed indoor show in western Canada; founder and first master of the Fraser Valley Hunt; Visiting Commissioner of the Canadian Pony Club and co-founder of three British Columbia Pony Club branches. As an equine practitioner, "Dr. John" was universally respected for his professionalism, knowledge and integrity. As a friend, he will be remembered for his compassion, sociability and sense of humour. He will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
A celebration of John's life will be held on Tuesday, June 24 at Victory Memorial Gardens, Surrey, British Columbia. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.

Dorothy WRIGHT, (née COLLARD) died peacefully at the Toronto Grace Hospital with her daughter Nancy at her side. She was the loving wife of the late Sydney Henry Arthur WRIGHT (Royal Canadian Air Force 1942). Dorothy will be missed by her children, Bruce (Daisy OLIVER) and Nancy (Frank PURVIS) and by her grandchildren David PURVIS and Nicole PURVIS (Cameron NIXON,) Arielle and Corinne WRIGHT and by her great-granddaughter Laurel Anne NIXON. Dorothy was the dear sister of Fred COLLARD and the late Isabel TOWNSEND, Norman COLLARD, Winnifred GILSON and Charles COLLARD. The family would like to thank staff and Friends at the Meighen Retirement Residence for their kindness over the past two years and the caring nurses and doctors at the Palliative Care unit of The Toronto Grace Hospital.
