WRIGHT, Eric
Eric passed away May 11, 2008 in his 85th year at the Hopital Sainte-Anne, in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Québec. Eric served overseas in World War 2 as a member of the 22nd Canadian Armoured Regt. of the Canadian Grenadier Guards. son of the late Alf and Ollie WRIGHT, Parry Sound, Ontario. Brother of the late Nolan WRIGHT (Rita) of North Carolina. Eric is survived by his sister Rayda FORTH (Fred) Ancaster, Ontario and Vida PYE (Jim) Parry Sound, Ontario. Fondly remembered by nieces and nephews. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank the staff of Sainte-Anne-de Bellevue for providing Eric with a home away from home over the last several years and for their ongoing care, compassion and Friendship. Cremation has taken place in Quebec. In her 60th year, in Brampton Civic Hospital on Saturday, March 15 after a five year battle with chronic leukemia. Anna Maria (VANDERSTELT) FERRIS, beloved wife of Lyle FERRIS. Dear mother of Margaret TRUDGEON of Markdale, Karen FERRIS of Shelburne and Mark FERRIS of Dundalk. Loving grandmother of Charles PALMER, Holly TRUDGEON and Ashley and Rebecca PALMER. Will be sadly missed by sisters Jenny TULEN, Mary JOZIASSE, Johanna (Harry) TIEMENS, Coby FORTIN and Margaret (Dennis) FISHER, brothers John (Linda) and Tom (Helen) VANDERSTELT, a brother-in-law Marvin FERRIS and many nieces and nephews. Passed away suddenly on July 5, 2008 in Sauble Beach at the age of 78. Reunited with his beloved wife Madeleine Marie (2006). He was an exceptional and caring father who helped raise six beautiful children, 5 sons and 1 daughter. Phil SCHMIDT and wife Norma of London, Larry SCHMIDT and Brenda SCHMIDT of London, Cathy SCHMIDT and companion David MINARD of Tecumseh, Bill SCHMIDT and wife Mary of Emeryville, John SCHMIDT of Windsor, and Rob SCHMIDT and wife Catherine of Georgetown. Cherished Grandpa of 13 Grandchildren: Josh, Sarah, Michael, Andrew, Katelyn, Jaclyn, David, Matthew, Nathan, Erin, Adam, Madison, and Kiersten. Great-Grandpa of William and Nicholas DIMITROPOULOS. Predeceased by his loving parents Leopold and Antonie SCHMIDT. He leaves behind many neices, nephews, cousins, and close personal Friends. Ted was retired from Bell Canada after 37 and a half years of dedicated service. He enjoyed singing in the Our Lady Of Guadalupe Church choir and most recently at Saint Mary's Anglican Church choir in Walkerville. Ted was a member of the Windsor Coin Club, and the Seekers Club. Ted volunteered with Canadian Blood Services, and also a member and one time Chapter President of the Telephone Pioneers of America (Chapter 91). He also was an avid golfer and bowler. Ward was born in Waterloo Township, 94 years ago a son of the late Milton G. and Susanna (SWARTZ) WEBER. He was a member of St. Peters Lutheran Church, Milverton. Ward had farmed with his wife Dorothy at R.R.#2 Baden for many years. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Erma STOLTZ who predeceased him March 17, 2001. Loving father of Charlotte and Chuck SCHIEDEL of New Hamburg and David and Kathy WEBER of Sauble Beach. It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Ray DAVIDSON on February 8, 2008, after a brave encounter with cancer. Beloved husband and dearest friend of Judith POE. Loving father of Raymond Jr. and his wife Carla of Oakville, Celia MARGISON and her husband Ted of Los Angeles, and Lisa DAVIDSON and her husband Dan Bell of San Diego. Devoted grandfather of Troy DAVIDSON, Cynthia DAVIDSON, Tyler MARGISON and Dylan BELL. Brother of James DAVIDSON and his wife Vici of Duncan, British Columbia and the late Norman and Better DAVIDSON of Calgary. Brother-in-law to Penny MEISLER and the late David MEISLER of Chicago. Ray will also be sadly missed by his beloved aunt, Audrey FORZANI of Calgary, his dear Friends Kelly Akers and Bill Hall and their daughter Alex and his many cousins, nieces and nephews. Born in Calgary, the son of the late James and Julietta DAVIDSON, Ray studied voice and piano at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto and at Gonzaga University in Washington. Winner of the Simpson's 'Red Feather Revue', and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's 'Opportunity Knocks', and 'Singing Stars of Tomorrow' in the 1950's, Ray went on to sing with the Canadian Opera Company and later as a solo entertainer throughout Canada and Europe. He brought joy to all with whom he shared his music and, through his music and our memories, he will always be in our hearts and lives. Our thanks to Ivy LUNT and Rohit TAMHANE for their kindness to Ray and his family. Donations to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family as your expression of sympathy.
