Husband of the late Bessie McMAHON (née GRAYSON) and the late Elsie McMAHON. Loving father of Betty MUNDEN, of Chatsworth and Jacqueline REID and her husband, Don, of Terrace Bay. Proud grandfather of thirty-three grandchildren, thirty-nine great-grandchildren and twenty great-great-grandchildren. Of Saint Thomas, passed away on Thursday, April 3rd, 2008, at her late residence, in her 98th year. Predeceased by her husband Aljoe W. O'NEILL (1978) and loved mother of Marjorie (Darrell) DENNIS, Sheila (Tom) MARTIN and Douglas ALJOE and his partner Jane McGUGAN all of Saint Thomas. Loved grandmother of Gordon DENNIS, Michael (Tammy GREDIG) Dennis, Neil DENNIS and partner Tanya HOLCOMBE, Jennifer (Joel) HAYES, Andrea (Jamie) HAWKRIGG and Mandy (Kevin) RUTKAUSKAS. In 1951 she joined the staff of City Hall as secretary and cashier in the offices of City Engineer and City Treasurer until she retired in 1972, and then enjoyed traveling. She was a life member of Central United Church, and a member for 58 years of the Edna Rebekah Lodge and was also Past Noble Grand. The family will receive Friends and relatives at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas on Saturday from 2-3 p.m. followed by a private family service. Interment in Elmdale Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the charity of choice.

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario on Saturday April 19, 2008 in his 59th year after a short courageous battle with cancer. Mark was the beloved partner of Stacey SNOW of London. Loving father of Mathew SMITH of Kalowna, British Columbia. Cherished son of Polly and Adam APPEL of Port Franks. Loving brother of Garry CORNISH of London, Edmond and Shirley APPEL of Harrisburg, Lynn and Robert WENSVEEN of Brantford and Cheryl and Joseph BEECHEY of Cambridge. Mark will be lovingly remembered and missed by his many nieces and nephews and by all who knew him. He was predeceased by his father Cyril CORNISH, sister Sandra LAPORT and best friend Bogie. We will always remember Mark as a loving, devoted, humorous man. His memory will be in our hearts forever. As an ophthalmologist, he was a highly respected surgeon and teacher. Don was a loving husband and wonderful father who especially cherished his time with family and Friends at Gull Island, Muskoka. He went on to attend the University of Western Ontario from 1945-1951, where he was an outstanding athlete who played football for the Western Mustangs and was a member of the 1948 Olympic Track Team. As an ophthalmologist, he was a highly respected surgeon and teacher. Don was a loving husband and wonderful father who especially cherished his time with family and Friends at Gull Island, Muskoka. A special thank you to Colleen MacDONELL and Florie REGIDOR. A private family service will take place on Saturday, March 8. Interment Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. A public memorial service will be conducted on Friday, March 28 at 11: 00 a.m. at the Church of Saint_John the Evangelist, 280 Saint_James Street at Wellington, London. At Elmwood Place Long Term Care Facility, London on Saturday, July 12, 2008, Frances (FLETCHER) CLARE in her 89th year. Loving wife of the late Orren Carlyle "Bus" CLARE (1995.) Adoring mother of the late David CLARE (1968.) Special sister to the late Joseph FLETCHER. Survived by her siblings Ruby HAINES, George FLETCHER and Sylvia FLETCHER. Also loved by her nieces, nephews and cousins. Suddenly on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at the age of 51. Beloved husband of Debbie GUYADER, loving father of Trevor, Mitchell and Katie. Dear son of Betty and the late Ray ANDERSON. Bill will be sadly missed by his siblings Diane WRAY (Brian,) Doug ANDERSON (Pat), Donna CORRIGAN (John), Wendy ANDERSON, Bob ANDERSON (Tricia) and his sister-in-law Kalene MORGAN and his many nieces and nephews. Bill was a dedicated husband, father, son, brother and uncle who loved his family, rugby, traveling and the farm. Bill was an active member of the Kingston Road United Church and the East End Refugee Committee. He had a long and distinguished career in the banking industry. WELSH, Norman Francis
Passed away in Windsor Ontario on March 15, 2008 at 83 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Dawn (1975) and Shirley (2006). Loving father of Tony and wife Andrea, Elaine and husband Steve RICHARDSON. Dear Granddad of Alexandra, Katherine, Emma and David. Brother of John and wife Rosemary WELSH, uncle of Stephen and Deborah. Norman was a professor of Theater Arts at York University and U.C.L.A. until his retirement in 1993. Norman served in the Royal Air Force during World War 2 as an aircraft mechanic. After the war he attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, graduating in 1948 before joining the Old Vic theatre company from 1948 to 1950. Norman went on to do repertory theatre in Dundee and Glasgow until he joined the London Theatre Company and traveled with them to Canada where he remained, marrying one of the members of the company Dawn Lesley (HOBBS.) Norman performed many seasons at both the Shaw and Stratford Festivals as well the inaugural season of the Neptune Theatre in Halifax. In Toronto Norman performed at the Crest Theatre, The Canadian Players, The St. Lawrence Centre as well as numerous other plays, films, television and radio productions in the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States. Norman appeared in over 80 radio and television productions for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation including the lead role in a television production of Dracula. Norman was very proud of his teaching work and enjoyed the energy and enthusiasm of his students. While teaching at Banff in 1976 Norman met Mary CORRIGAN and enjoyed many years with her in California. He particularly enjoyed spending many summers teaching at Oxford with the British American Drama Academy, something he also shared with Mary. This also afforded him time to visit with his extended family in England, times which he cherished. Norman retired to British Columbia, met and married Shirley and loved the west coast until he moved closer to family following Shirley's death. Norman's family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff of Oak Park LaSalle and especially to all the wonderful staff at Sunrise Senior Living where Norman lived until his passing. Special thanks as well to the nursing staff of St. Elizabeth Health Care (specifically Sheri and Tina) and Community Care Access Centre. If you so desire, donations to the Alzheimer's Chapter Windsor and Essex Co. would be appreciated by the family. Peacefully, with her sisters, at her home in Toronto on Friday, March 7, 2008 at the age of 85. Beloved daughter of the late Patrick and Helena CORRIGAN; sister to Raymond (Ruth deceased,) Basil, Regina, Sister Lucille, CND; aunt to 5 nieces and nephews and 7 grand-nieces and nephews. Retired longtime Canadian National Railway employee and dedicated defender of its employees through the Canadian Brotherhood of Railway Transport and General Workers; neighbour to countless thousands with whom she interacted over a long lifespan as a volunteer with the Legion of Mary, the Redemptorist missionaries, the St. Vincent de Paul Society and in the last 20 years the Toronto East General Hospital Pastoral Team. When she knew that her own life was shortened, she volunteered for clinical trial at Princess Margaret Hospital, so that her loss might help others. Special thanks to Elizabeth HAEBERMAN of Community Care Access Centre G9 for coordinating caring service to Rita and the family; her team of professionals and the neighbours who helped me, made it possible for Rita to be at home. Friends are invited to gather at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11 for the Mass of the Resurrection at Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 520 Sherbourne Street, south of Bloor. On Monday, April 7, 2008, Malle passed away at Saint Michael's Hospital with her loving husband of 52 years, Henn, and children, Peter and Marika, at her side. Cherished Mother-in-law to Danielle CORRIVEAU- MAESTE and Gerry CROZIER and proud and doting Nana to Andrew and Ingrid. An enthusiastic reader with a keen interest in a broad range of subjects ranging from European history, travel, antiques, fine dining to mysteries and current events, she inspired us all to learn and appreciate. Malle was a talented gourmet cook, an avid art and antique collector and was an accomplished artist and painter. Malle was a kind, gentle and compassionate soul, proud of her Estonian heritage, always supportive, quick to laugh and genuinely interested in those around her. She will be sadly missed by all.
