CORBIERE--In memory of my sister Mae Corbiere who passed away July 20, 2006.
Of all the many blessings,
However great or small
To have had you for a sister,
Was the greatest one of all
I thought of you with love today but that is nothing new,
I thought about you yesterday and days before that too
I think of you in silence, I often speak your name,
All I have are memories and your picture in a frame
Your memory is my keepsake, with which I'll never part,
God has you in his keeping, I have you in my heart
The family chain is broken now,
And nothing seems the same
But as God takes us one by one,
The chain will link again.

Mom, we know we had to let you go,
But our hearts still ache, we miss you so
We look across the road, but we know
You are no longer there,
And silent tears fall, sometimes the pain
Is hard to bare
We walk up the hill to the apple tree,
The place of rest where you wanted to be
We sit an talk with you for awhile,
And it helps us remember your love and your Beautiful smile
Though your smile is gone forever,
And your hand we cannot touch
We have our hearts full of memories,
Just know Mom, that we love you very much
We are told that those we love don't really go away,
And somehow our hearts know that this is true
For we feel you walk beside us, guiding us in all we do.

so wise. We thought we knew how great you were, Beautiful, talented,
kind, But there was more you should have heard, From those you
left behind. So we've many cherished memories, With which we'll
