At Four Counties Health Services, Newbury, on Thursday, February 21, 2008, Edward GRAY/GREY of R.R.#4 Alvinston in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Fay (CHITTEM) GRAY/GREY, and father of Bonnie (Declan MULCAHY,) Lenore MacDONELL, Gwen (Bedford TAILOR/TAYLOR) amd Jane (Darell PARKER). Predeceased by one son. Grandfather of Heather and Jessica PARKER, Karyn and Niamh MULCAHY. Brother of Audrey COBBAN and Ruth GRAHAM and the late Donald GRAY/GREY. Brother-in-law of Mary GRAY/GREY. Predeceased by his parents, Charles and Marjorie (Lovell) GRAY/GREY. Ed was born 84 years ago in Brooke Township and lived there nearly all his life. He was employed by school boards in Essex and Lambton Counties and was a trustee for the Lambton County Board of Education for several years. He played baseball and softball in Alvinston, coached Hockey and baseball teams in Alvinston and took a keen interest in local sports. Cremation has taken place. At Ed's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private interment of Ashes will be held at a later date. No flowers, but if desired, a memorial donation may be made to Four Counties Health Services Foundation, Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation or the Brain Tumour Foundation by contacting the Van Heck Funeral Home, Glencoe 519-287-2831.

Passed away at Grey Gables, Markdale on Saturday February 23, 2008, Frances Theresa HALEY of Markdale in her 71st year. Daughter of the late Wilbert and Elizabeth HALEY (McGRATH.) Loving▼ sister of Bernard HALEY (Pat▼) of North York, Elizabeth CHITTENDEN (Chuck) of Richmond Hill and Bernice CHITTENDEN (late Bruce) of Markdale. Sadly missed and loved by her nieces, nephews, extended family and Friends. The family received Friends at the May Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon and evening, where Vigil Prayers were held at 9 o'clock in the evening. Father Leszek SZCZYGIEL officiated at a Mass of Christian Burial held at Saint_Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Markdale on Wednesday February 27 at 11: 30 a.m. Altar servers were Bradley BLACK, Daniel, Sebastian and Simon GALLAGHER. Music for the mass was provided by the Black family and included the hymns "Prayer of St. Frances", "Queen of The Heavens", "Come Follow Me" and "Lord of The Dance". Annette, Kristen and Danielle CHITTENDEN provided readings. Timothy INSLEY, Paul MacMILLAN, Patrick, Michael, Brian and Chad CHITTENDEN served as pall bearers Daniel and Francine CHITTENDEN served as honorary pall bearers. Following the mass, Friends and relatives joined the family at Annesley Fellowship Hall for a time of sharing memories, along with musical accompaniment on the violin and piano by the Black family. A delicious luncheon was served by the Catholic Women's League. Spring interment in Saint_John's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Glenelg Centre. Memorial donations were directed to Grey Gables Resident's Council and the Arthritis Society.

CAVALIER, Harold E.
Of Niagara Falls, New York, died on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 in Newfane Rehabilitation. He was 84.
He was born in Toronto, Ontario on July 29, 1922, a son of the late Harold and Irene (CHITTENDEN) CAVALIER.
He will be sadly missed by his son Harold A. CAVALIER of East Randolph, New York; two half sisters in Toronto and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Bernice L. (HOOPER) CAVALIER in 2002.
There will be no prior visitation. Friends are invited to attend Funeral Services Saturday 10 a.m. in the Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel, 5871 Military Road, Lewiston. Arrangements are being handled by the Lane Funeral Home, Inc. 716-283-9660.

Peacefully in the Palliative Care Unit at Bluewater Health on Saturday, February 16, 2008 William KUINDERSMA age 78 of Sarnia. Beloved husband of the late Cotje (2004). Loving Father of Trudy (Ron) SCHIESTEL and Joan VANDENBERG. Cherished Pops of Steven and Renee, Jaclyn and Jimmy, Heather and Craig, Chuck and Lindsay, Ryan, and Grand Pops to Ethan, Nicole, Robbie, Amber, Jori and Chase. Survived by brother Robert (Mary) KUINDERSMA, sisters Tess (Jim) McWHINNEY, Greta (Hank) PLUG, and sisters-in-law Denyse and Mickey KUINDERSMA. Also survived by brothers-in-law Bill (Edie,) and Peter (Lynne) Esser and sisters-in-law Kay CHIVERS, Lena (Jim) JOOSSE, Betty VANDERHEIDE and Jennie (Lex) KAPTEYN. Uncle Bill will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews as a man of tremendous generosity and optimism. Predeceased by brothers Reinder, John and Pete and parents Ynte and Anna KUINDERSMA. Bill moved to Sarnia from Windsor in 1945 and was employed as president of K&E Sand and Gravel for 38 years. He served the First Christian Reformed Church as Deacon, Elder and Cadet Councilor and combined a love of sports and of young people by coaching church hockey and baseball for many years. Peacefully surrounded by his wife Lana, and children Laura and Lisa, Fred left us on March 11, 2008 to continue the next part of his journey. Remembering his courageous spirit are his wife Lana, daughters Laura, her husband Ken and grand_sons Darek and Nathan ROBERTS; daughter Lisa, her husband Edward and grand_son Alex PANASIUK; sister Vicki and her husband Charlie MILLS. Also remembered by his mother-in-law Ruth ROUSE; Jeff, Anna and Ashley ROUSE; Kevan, Phyllis, Jocelyne and Amanda; Darwin, Janet, Marc and Erin ROUSE; Annette, Greg and Zach HEARD. Sadly missed by many family and Friends. Predeceased by his parents Lynn and Mary CHIVERS and father-in-law Edward ROUSE. Continuing on his journey with him are his beloved cats Ting-kin and Turnstyle.
