has gone to be with her beloved Lord on Friday, May 2, 2008 at the age of 84. Beloved wife of Bill. Cherished mother of Vicki (Joe), Marilyn (John), Richard and Susan (Keith); and special mother-in-law of Jan MacDERMID. Proud grandmother of Stephen (Maria), David (Julia), Natalie (Matt), Jennifer (Marc), Laura (Christian), Michael, Rob, Robyn, Daniel and Jamie. Special great-grandmother of seven. Survived by her brother Donald (Lucille) and her twin brother Bill (Leona). She was a woman full of joy and faith, who was loving to her husband, family and Friends. She will be sadly missed. A Service of Remembrance will be held at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, 15 Lambeth Road, Etobicoke on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 1 o'clock. Suddenly, as the result of an accident in Ingersoll, on Saturday, March 15, 2008, Leanne Marie MURRELL in her 26th year. Loving mother of Christine and Kamille SAINT_DENIS and daughter of Linda (Larry) FLETCHER and George (Ruth-Anne) MURRELL. Remembered by her partner Scott CARTIER and his family. Step-sister of Sherry-Anne, Jo-Anne, Laura and Robert. Sadly missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Also remembered by her step-grandmother May KERR and all the Fletcher family. Leanne will forever be remembered by her many close Friends. Leanne worked for 3 years at Value Village. Of Port Stanley, passed away after a short battle with cancer on Friday, June 20th, 2008, in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late James GREEN and dearly loved mother of Douglas GREEN and his partner Connie HARVEY. Loved grandmother of Mark and his wife Deb and Jamie and his wife Shelly. Dear step-grandmother of Christine and her husband David and Eva and Kaitlyn and great-grandmother of Jade, Ross and Heidi. Great step-grandmother of Sasha, Isabel and Calvin. Pearl was born in England on December 19, 1922, the daughter of the late Arthur and Edith CARTWRIGHT. She came to Canada in 1966. A service to celebrate Pearl's life will be held at Saint_John's Presbyterian Church, Port Stanley on Friday, June 27th at 10: 30 a.m. Cremation has taken place. At Pearl's request flowers gratefully declined. KIDD, Flora Mildred " Betty" (née CARTWRIGHT)
March 19, 2008, born in Liverpool, England, 1926, sadly mourned by her husband of 58 years, Robert (Wilf) KIDD of Saint John her children Richard (Janet) of Darlings Island, Pat (Keith) of Big Pond, Nova Scotia, Peter (Chantal) Bromont, Québec and David (Madelijne) of London, England. Betty was the youngest of her family, adored by her brother and two sisters and by her parents, who devoted much of their attention to her. Her liberal education was completed when she graduated with a degree in English and History and a teaching certificate from Liverpool University. She met Wilf at university, and his work as an engineer took them to various locations in England and Scotland before emigrating to Canada in 1967. They lived in Montreal and Cape Breton, and ultimately settled in Saint John in 1977. Shortly before leaving the United Kingdom, Betty wrote her first Mills and Boon romance, and went on to a successful career as a novelist, publishing 64 Harlequin Romances. She wrote poetry and historical fiction, became an accomplished artist, and imbued in her children a great love of literature, art and music. She spent many happy hours sailing on the West Coast of Scotland, Lake Champlain, the Maine coast and the Caribbean with her husband and family. Betty was an inspiration to her eleven grandchildren, Michelle and David and their mother Jean, Samantha, Malcolm, Rachel, Diarmid, Fiona, Graham, Allison, Dayna and Joel. Betty's family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Palliative care unit of the Saint John Regional Hospital and also the nurses and staff of 5C North, Rev. Alvin Westgate, Rev. Pat Craig, and the priests of the Diocese of Saint John for their comfort to Betty during the past few weeks. The family would like to thank her dedicated care-givers Honey and Kelly.
A memorial service will be held at the Church of Saint_John the Baptist and St. Clement 815 Millidge Avenue, Saint John at 11: 00 a.m. on Monday, March 24th, 2008. Private family interment will take place at a later date. CARTWRIGHT, William Stephen
On May 13th at Sunnybrook Hospital at 44 years of age, after a lengthy illness, with his loving family at his side. Stephen leaves his beloved wife and best friend Cindy, his adored daughter Sarah, his loving father Donald, and his step-mother Julie DORAN. He will be sadly missed by his loving sister Susan CHOLOD, his brother-in-law and friend, Murray, his niece and nephew Julia and Erik CHOLOD and his half brother Richard CARTWRIGHT. Stephen was predeceased by his mother Shirley CARTWRIGHT. Stephen was blessed with many wonderful Friends and colleagues who will miss him greatly.
A memorial service will be held on Friday May 16th at 2: 00 p.m. at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Avenue West. Visitation will begin at 1: 00 pm.

With great dignity and respect Fran's life journey suddenly ended. Died of natural causes at the North York General Hospital in her 98th year. Predeceased by her first husband James (Jimmy) Cooper MASON and her second husband Frederick (Fred) Bancroft BROOKS- HILL. Survived by her son James Robert MASON (Carol) and her grandchildren Stephen, Darryl (Beth) and Jeff who will sadly miss their Grandma. Cherished great-grandmother to Spencer, Skylar, Cooper, Owen and Emma. Fondly remembered by Fred's children: Heather BROOKS- HILL (Jeremy CARVER,) Frederick 'Rick' (Priscilla,) Robin (Virginia THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON,) and Gillian (Gerry LEE.) Loved by Fred's grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Missed by residents of the Amica at Bayview, loving relatives and Friends. Fran was a working mother for many years with the Vaughan School Board where she could keep a close eye on her son Robert through teachers and principals. Fran, Jimmie and Robert were pioneers on Straggle Lake in Harcourt Park (1961) and thoroughly enjoyed their cottage life in the Wilberforce (Haliburton) area. For many winters Fran resided in Florida with her sister Marjorie MUIR and married Fred on March 6, 1995. A Celebration of Fran's life will be held at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Avenue West, Toronto (2 stoplights west of Yonge Street) on Monday March 10 at 1 p.m. with visitation one hour prior. Cremation is to follow, interment later at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the Lung Association or The Heart and Stroke Association will be gratefully acknowledged as an expression of sympathy.
