Passed away peacefully on Friday, March 7th, 2008 in her 88th
year. Helen was born in Dauphin, Manitoba on October 1st, 1920
where she resided until she met and wed Walter (Wally)
BURTON,
an officer with the Royal Canadian Air Force whose final posting
was to be Centralia Air Force Base. Wally predeceased his wife
on July 4th, 1995. Much loved by their son, Scott and his wife,
Mary of Exeter and sister, Ruth
MAIER, husband, Len and son,
David of Roblin, Manitoba. Helen's three grand_sons, Mark
BURTON
of Windsor, Jeff of Hensall and Michael and his wife, Julia of
Exeter will always remember her as a devoted grandmother and
a woman of integrity. Helen was twice blessed by the presence
of two great-grand_sons, Charlie and Jesse

and Julia. For many years, Helen was an integral part of the
golfing and curling communities of Exeter where she made many
Friends. Cremation with interment Exeter Cemetery. At her request,
there will be no visitation or services. We ask you to remember
her as a result of your good times and fond memories. In lieu
of floral tributes, it was Helen who asked that she be remembered
by donations to the development of the games of golf and curling
for the youth of South Huron or to the charity of one's choice.

born in Saint Thomas on August 26th, 1940. He was a retired teacher
and worked in North Bay, Hamilton and was the Director of Education
at the University of Toronto. He also did supply teaching for
the Thames Valley Board. Bob was a Mason, a member of the Hi-Ro
Shrine Club Clown Unit, former member of the Rotary Club and
was a member of Trinity Anglican Church. A Public memorial service
will be held at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas
on Saturday, May 3rd, 2008 at 11: 00 a.m., with a reception to
follow. Cremation has taken place, with private interment of
the ashes in Elmdale Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the
Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital Foundation. A special thank

Sunday School Superintendent, MacGregor group leader, Clerk of
Session, bridge shark, crossworder and Claremont calendar girl
- she was admired by generations of people - young and old -
who benefited from her caring touch, wise counsel and steady
Friendship. Few may even remember the long-legged hurdling that
earned her the Optima Trophy at Jarvis Collegiate. She will be
fondly remembered by her three Gray girl families, the Porters

known in Port Stanley will always be remembered for his sharp
wit, his love of a cold beer, and his compassion for all. Dad
