Peacefully in her sleep, at Chelsey Park Retirement Community on Tuesday, July 8, 2008, Mrs. Emily DAYPUCK (née BURTNYK) in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Mr. Peter DAYPUCK (1969.) Loving mother of Reg and his wife Rose. Much loved Baba of Pete (Sabrina), Derek (Caleigh) and Crystal (Grant SMITH). Sister of the late Russell BURTNYK (Anne), Iris (Ted MAYUK), Olga and the late Mike BIJOWSKI. Also Baba will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, Friends and Spunks too! Many thanks to the amazing and caring staff, both at Chelsey Park (London) and Babcock (Wardsville). Baba was an excellent bowler in her day. She loved playing bingo, doing puzzles and was a true Maple Leaf fan. The most important priority to Baba was her Grandchildren, always attending their many sporting events - Karate, Hockey, Rugby, Figure Skating, etc. Visitation will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1997 Dundas Street (at Wavell) London on Thursday, July 10 from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, July 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Service in the chapel at 1 p.m. with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Teen Challenge Farm (Lambeth) would be appreciated by the family.

BURTON, Helen Irene
Passed away peacefully on Friday, March 7th, 2008 in her 88th year. Helen was born in Dauphin, Manitoba on October 1st, 1920 where she resided until she met and wed Walter (Wally) BURTON, an officer with the Royal Canadian Air Force whose final posting was to be Centralia Air Force Base. Wally predeceased his wife on July 4th, 1995. Much loved by their son, Scott and his wife, Mary of Exeter and sister, Ruth MAIER, husband, Len and son, David of Roblin, Manitoba. Helen's three grand_sons, Mark BURTON of Windsor, Jeff of Hensall and Michael and his wife, Julia of Exeter will always remember her as a devoted grandmother and a woman of integrity. Helen was twice blessed by the presence of two great-grand_sons, Charlie and Jesse BURTON, sons of Michael and Julia. For many years, Helen was an integral part of the golfing and curling communities of Exeter where she made many Friends. Cremation with interment Exeter Cemetery. At her request, there will be no visitation or services. We ask you to remember her as a result of your good times and fond memories. Of Saint Thomas, passed away on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 68th year. Beloved son of the late Doctor Maxwell and Helen (CHARLTON) RYCKMAN. Dear brother of Anne Marie and husband William BURTON of North Bay and James RYCKMAN of Belle River. Dear uncle of Geoffrey BURTON and his wife Estelle (GEVERS), Mary Beth BURTON, Ginny RYCKMAN and husband Cory, Lynne RYCKMAN and husband Glenn MacKINNON. Also survived by five beautiful great-nieces whom he adored and by Ross and Sue MOORE, whose life long Friendship and devotion in his time of need meant everything to Bob in his final days. (The family is truly grateful for you Friendship.) Robert was born in Saint Thomas on August 26th, 1940. He was a retired teacher and worked in North Bay, Hamilton and was the Director of Education at the University of Toronto. He also did supply teaching for the Thames Valley Board. Bob was a Mason, a member of the Hi-Ro Shrine Club Clown Unit, former member of the Rotary Club and was a member of Trinity Anglican Church. A Public memorial service will be held at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas on Saturday, May 3rd, 2008 at 11: 00 a.m., with a reception to follow. Cremation has taken place, with private interment of the ashes in Elmdale Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital Foundation. A special thank you to Doctor John HOFHUIS for being such a wonderful and caring family physician and to the nurses on 2nd, 4th and 5th floors of the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital for their loving care of "Uncle Bob."

It was difficult for us to let you go but, knowing that God's gentle hand had led you home, helped us with the pain of missing you. You were loved by many and revered by all who were blessed to meet you. Ethel (née MURDOCK) was the beloved wife of the late Rev. Morgan McFARLANE who was the minister of Bell Street United Church from 1966 to 1978. She was a devoted and caring mother to Margaret PEASEY (Les) of Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia; Marilyn ALLAN (Cliff) of Belleville, Ontario; Murdock (Debbie) of Beaconsfield, Quebec Jane BURTON (Bob) of Ottawa, Ontario, Shirley UNDERWOOD (Richard) of Toronto, Ontario and Greg (Pam) of Russell, Ontario. Girl Guide, librarian, Halifax navy bride, mother, volunteer, Smoke Lake leaseholder, grandma and great-granny, Sunday School Superintendent, MacGregor group leader, Clerk of Session, bridge shark, crossworder and Claremont calendar girl - she was admired by generations of people - young and old - who benefited from her caring touch, wise counsel and steady Friendship. Few may even remember the long-legged hurdling that earned her the Optima Trophy at Jarvis Collegiate. She will be fondly remembered by her three Gray girl families, the Porters - Patsy, Tim, Rosalind, Suzanna and Geoff MORGAN; the Waugh/Eibners - Katy, Ralph EIBNER (deceased,) Emily WAUGH, Maggie, Bruno, Sydney and Tucker WELT, Meghan and Juliane EIBNER; the Coyles - Barbara, Dudleigh, Patrick, David and Megan DUNKLEY, and Nancy and Adam MOIR.
