On Sunday, May 4, 2008, in the Palliative Care Unit of London Health Sciences Centre, London, Ontario, Pearl FOX, née BOWDEN, passed away in her 88th year after a courageous battle with cancer. Loving wife for 66 years to Francis (Frank) FOX. Dear mother of Robert FOX (of Ottawa) and Sandra FOX (and her husband Michael COTTAM.) Dear grandmother of Lysanne, Mandy, Nicholas and Riley FOX, Paul and Denny BRIGHT, and Magnus and Duncan COTTAM. She will be missed by many Friends and relatives in Sudbury, the Bruce Peninsula, London (Ontario) and Northern British Columbia. Special appreciation is due to the doctors and nursing staff at the Oncology and Palliative Care units of London Health Sciences Centre. Beloved husband of 52 years to Ferne (née BROADBENT,) also of Petrolia. Dear father of Connie and Rod BRAY of London, and their children Sarah and Siobhan, Terry and Maryanne WHITING of Winnipeg, and their children Willyn, Angus, Holly and Duncan, Howard and Collette WHITING of Shelburne, and their children Daniel, Stephanie and Lindsay, Joel and Donna WHITING of Oil Springs and their children Emma and Neil, and Becky and Derrick FULTON of Oil Springs, and their children Kaegan and Ronan. Carl was the eldest of 11 children born to Howard (1960) and Blanche (2000) WHITING. Predeceased by a brother Frank (1967) and a sister Shirley ZAVITZ (2006.) Carl is survived by four brothers: Ray (Marilyn) of Oil Springs, Gordon (Bernice), Les (Karen), and Ross (Lindy) all of Petrolia and four sisters Marian (Joe KERWIN,) Gloria (Jim) MATTHEWS of Sarnia, Grace (Charlie BRIMLEY) of Ottawa and Wilma WHITING of Bowmanville, numerous nieces and nephews, a sister-in-law, Audrey FARR of Oil Springs and a brother-in-law, Cliff ZAVITZ of Camlachie. A resident of Chatham, Kay BRISLEY died on Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at the Windsor Metropolitan Hospital, at the age of 88. Born in Howard Township to the late Arthur and Ethel (DUDDY) ANDERSON. Beloved wife of the late Gordon 'Gord' BRISLEY (2006.) Loving mother of Bonnie and her husband Brad BROWN of Port Stanley, Bette and her husband Patrick CATTON of Amherstburg, and Janice and her husband Richard LESCHYSHYN of Corunna. Kay will be missed by her grandchildren Heather BROWN and Phil, Kevin BROWN and wife Kerrin, Jessica CATTON and Chad, Ryan CATTON and Karen, Josh LESCHYSHYN, and Warren LESCHYSHYN. She was also a past president of the United Church Women, and she most recently became a member of the St. Andrew's Residence Auxiliary. Will be dearly missed by wife Jean (née ALLEN) of 63 years. Loving father of Adrian (Donna) and Judy (Glenn). Dearest Opa to Corben (Monique,) Johanna, Karla and Ryan BRISTOW, and Kyle (Jen) and Alanna KRAAIJEVELD. Noriene E. BRITTON 71, of Riverview, New Brunswick, with her daughter Karen at her side, passed away peacefully of pulmonary fibrosis at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, January 9, 2008. Noriene was a retired Registered Nurse at The Moncton Hospital, 6600/ Oncology Unit. Noriene will be sadly missed by her daughter and best friend, Karen COBB, Toronto; brother-in-law, Grant FANCY and his special friend Lynne; nieces, Heather Kennedy McQUEEN, Lori Brown BLACK, Chrissy FANCY; nephews, David and Peter KENNEDY, Dan, Bruce and Kevin FANCY; as well as an enormous circle of Friends.
