DICKINSON, Robert " Bob" Hugh
Passed away peacefully with his family at his side at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Monday, September 17, 2007 in his 64th year. Bob was a best friend and husband to Janie (nee McROBB) for the past 39 years. Loving father to Rob, wife Debra (MOTHERSELL) of Owen Sound; Terrina, husband Robin LAING of Medicine Hat, Alberta; Scott, wife Michelle (LANKTREE) of Gore Bay, Ontario and Kristopher (Kris) and his wife Paula CRAWFORD of Brampton. Also survived by five grandchildren McKayla, Zoe, Parker, Rachel and Cuinn. Survived by two sisters Joan ACHESON (Doug) and Patricia GEORGE (Al,) his sister-in-law Marg DICKINSON and his numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by father Hugh (Brunie) DICKINSON and mother Robena (Beanie) DICKINSON and two brothers Stanley and Jerry. Friends are invited to the Tannahill Funeral Home for visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 12 noon until service time. The funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. Claire MILLER officiating. Interment, Elora Cemetery. Beloved husband of Lois PINGLE of Alliston, Ontario Loved father of Larry SWENSON and his wife Barbara Jane of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Sharon SWENSON of Toronto, Ontario, Debbie and her husband Tom HOGARTH of Windsor, Ontario Loving grandpa of Stephanie and her husband Andrew JONES, Samantha SWENSON, Alex and her husband Gord HARTLEY, Ainsley and Madison HOGARTH. Dear brother of Mary and her husband George HAIG and predeceased by Oscar SWENSON, John SWENSON, Sophie ERICKSON, Carrie PEARSON and Ingla GROOME. SANDERSON, L. Eleanor (née McROBERTS)
In the early morning of September 2, 2007, Eleanor died peacefully at Parkwood Hospital, in London, Ontario, having lived a full and rich life of 94 years.
Eleanor enjoyed a long and distinguished career with the London Board of Education, and was a passionate and tireless advocate for specialized classes and enhanced learning opportunities for the gifted. She went on to become a recognized expert in the field, and was designated a Master Teacher by the London Board of Education.
She retired from teaching in 1971, when she met and married Ted SANDERSON and moved to Toronto. There she was an active member of Metropolitan United Church, involved in the church's annual festival of the arts, dayspring. After returning to London, Ontario, Eleanor brought her love of learning to the Society for Learning in Retirement.
Eleanor was born in Kintore, Ontario, in 1913 to Lorne Chester McROBERTS and Lillian GUNDY and was predeceased by her only sister Margaret Eddy MacLEOD (2003,) and her brother-in-law Irving MacLEOD (1997) of Oshawa and is survived by her nephews Donald MacLEOD of Oshawa and David MacLEOD (Beth) of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, and their sons, Ian of Minneapolis and James of Chicago.
Eleanor was also predeceased by her husband, C.F. (Ted) SANDERSON (1993) and is survived by his children Mary Sanderson ELLIOT/ELLIOTT and Jane Sanderson LESPERANCE and Jane's children, Norah and Joseph (Victoria) all of Toronto. Eleanor will be missed by her many, many loved and faithful Friends, many of whom are former students. Special thanks to her loyal caregiver and friend, Jean WALCH, who was at her bedside when she died.
A memorial service celebrating Eleanor's life will be held on Saturday, September 8 at 11: 00 a.m. at The Grosvenor Club, 1 Grosvenor Street, London.
In lieu of flowers, Friends are invited to contribute to a trust fund that has been established in Eleanor's name to continue her interest and commitment to children's learning. Donations may be sent to The Thames Valley Education Foundation, 1250 Dundas Street, London, Ontario, N6A 5L1, marked: The Eleanor McRoberts Sanderson Creative Learning Trust Fund.

Died suddenly November 8, 2007 at the age of 82. She is pre-deceased by her husband Peter Byron (2001) and her son John Guy Philp (1978,) and is survived by daughters Susan, Deborah (John LEVESQUE,) and Michael McCRODAN, by her grandchildren Chris HUGGINS (Shelley MANTEI) and Alyssa HUGGINS. Marjorie Claudine McRONALD (née KOENIG,) peacefully on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at the Saugeen Village Nursing Home, Hanover.
Marjorie, 96 years of age, wife of the late William McRONALD, who predeceased her in 1967. Loving mother of Jean and her husband Bob STOCK (both deceased in 2004,) and Marvin and his wife Audrey of Georgetown.
Loved grandmother of Janine (deceased in 1998), Lee-Anne, Brent, Ryan, David, Sharon, Paul and nine great-granddaughters. Dear sister of the late Bernice BAKER.
Friends were received at the Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service was held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Hanover on Friday, July 27, 2007 at 11 a.m. Interment in Durham Cemetery.

Born in Guelph, son of the late Reginald Archibald and Dorothy Jean (née BROWN) GRAY/GREY.
Survived by his wife June (née McCROSSAN) GRAY/GREY, children Helen (Dave) HOLT of R.R.#3 Chesley, Christine GRAY/GREY (Mike HILL) of R.R.#3 Paisley, Dave Jr. (Christine) GRAY/GREY of Hanover, adoptive son and daughter Robert and Tanna ALBERT of Hanover, grandchildren Katie, Andrea, Ronald, Dylan, Darren, Michael, Jonathan, Christina, Jennifer, Devin, Alexandrea, Mackenzie and Robyn and Granny McCROSSAN. Also survived by brothers Ken "Chiefy" GRAY/GREY, Bill (Colleen) GRAY/GREY, Reg "Beaner" GRAY/GREY, John "Chopper" (Fran) GRAY/GREY, Don BROWN, sisters Pat (Bill) McINTOSH, Sophia GRAY/GREY (Jeff), Nancy GOWING, Betty GRAY/GREY, Aunt Theresa and 18 nieces and nephews. The dear mother of Margot CLARKE (Toronto) and the dear cousin of Barbara FROST and the late Benson FROST Jr. (Rhinebeck, New York). She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews and all who knew her. Special thanks to Nellie VAN DYKE, Melita WELLS and the staff at the Riverside Glen Retirement Home and St. Joseph's Health Centre for their devoted and gentle care over the years.
