On December 31, 2006 at her home in Montreal, Elizabeth B. McNAB ('Betty',) dear daughter of the late Lewis and Grace McNAB, dear sister of Jean McNAB. A graduate of McGill University, Betty had a distinguished career at McGill University - she was the first woman to become Director of Annual Giving at a Canadian University and, later, the first woman to become head of University Development. A number of years ago at McGill, an Annual Lecture in the History of Science was named 'The Elizabeth B. Mcnab Lecture'. Jean McNAB wishes to thank Heather Connolly and Ann Cihelka for their close Friendship with Betty over the years, and also to remember Betty's close Friendship with the late Helen Leavitt. It is with great sadness that the family of Glen announces the unexpected death of their husband, father, son and grandpa, on Thursday July 5th, 2007 at Southlake Regional Hospital, Newmarket, Ontario. He was the cherished son of the late Ruby and Charles McNABB, loving husband and best friend to Margaret, wonderful father to son Steven, his wife Lynda and grand_son Keith, devoted father to step-son Stephen (predeceased 2004) and wife Shelley (COUTURE,) step-daughter Susan (HARDING) and her husband Scott, also lovingly remembered by his siblings, nieces, nephews and Friends. GOSS, Kathleen Marie (née McCARTHY) (1955-2006)
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Kathleen Marie GOSS (née McCARTHY) on December 29, 2006, at the age of 51 years. She was recently battling breast cancer complications, which resulted in cardiac arrest. Kathleen is survived by her loving husband, Rob, and her two beautiful daughters, Nicole and Lindsay. She is also remembered by her brothers, Peter, Brian, and Daniel McCARTHY; her sisters, Maureen McCARTHY and Naomi DIRAGO; her dad, Owen, and his wife, Mary McCARTHY; Mary's family, Cathy DAVIES, Cheryle TILLY, and Bill McNABB; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Kathleen was predeceased by her mother, Virgina McCARTHY (née PORTER.) Kathleen was born to Owen and Virginia McCARTHY in Toronto, Ontario, on June 6, 1955. She was an active volunteer in the church, including the youth advisory council, Eucharistic ministry, pastoral care, sacramental preparation, and Sunday school. In addition, she volunteered at her daughters' schools within class, on hot lunch committees, on the community of caring committee, as secretary within the music society, and as secretary on the parent's council. Within the community she was a blood donor, and gave generously to many charities. In July of 2006 Kathleen landed her dream job, as student advisor within Biological Sciences at the University of Calgary. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched. Died Peacefully on December 29 at her residence at Christie Gardens in Toronto. Born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, Netta was the beloved wife for 69 years of the late Very Reverend Doctor Angus J. MacQUEEN. She is lovingly remembered by her children - Marian and Colin McNAIRN, Joan and John WARREN, Barbara MacQUEEN and Heather and Nick PITTAS her grandchildren - James, Martha, Heather, Katie, Anna and Rosie - and her great-granddaughters - Allison, Kate and Daisy. Netta was predeceased by her four brothers and one sister and grand_son Stuart WARREN. Netta's life revolved around church and family as she and Angus moved from coast to coast. While in Toronto, she was a volunteer at Centennial Nursery and Meals on Wheels. Netta was a proud Cape Bretoner and spent summers with the family at the cottage on the Mira River. The family wishes to thank the staff at Christie Gardens for their kindness and caring support. A funeral service will be held on January 2 at 10: 00 a.m. at the Trull Funeral Home 'North Toronto Chapel' 2704 Yonge St. (5 Blocks south of Lawrence) with visitation one hour before the service. Interment will take place in Cape Breton at Black Brook Cemetery in the summertime.

Roger was born in Oxford, England where he met Joyce. They moved the family to Linlithgow, Scotland before settling in Toronto. His happy life revolved around summers with family and Friends at Lake Baptiste. Bill had a distinguished career with John Labatt Limited in London until retiring in 1972. 96 years. Passed away peacefully at Scotia Nursing Home, Beaverbank, Nova Scotia on November 22, 2007. Formerly of Botwood, Newfoundland, Tom was the eldest child of Arthur N. and Victoria (PAYNE) ANTLE. He was predeceased by his daughter, Rosemary CANTWELL, wife Helen (Nell) PERRY, and sister Netta BAKER (who died November 2, 2007 at age 93 years). Mourning his loss are daughters and sons-in-law Kay and David McNAMARA, The Hague, The Netherlands; Mitz and Trevor MURRAY, Bedford, Nova Scotia; grand_sons Christopher McNAMARA and his fiance Felicity WILLIAMS, Melbourne, Australia; Doctor Robert McNAMARA, Darwin, Australia; sister Daphne ANTLE, Botwood; special nephew John BAKER (Wendy) and special niece Anne (Angus) NEWMAN, Saint_John's, Newfoundland. Cherished great-grandmother of Deidra, Kylie and Brynna DESMOULIN. Patricia was a graduate of Saint Michael's School of Nursing, class of 1946. Her varied interests included nature, the environment, and the arts. After leaving her home in Scarborough where she had many wonderful, active years, there followed four very challenging years where she revealed the true extent of her courage and determination. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Born in Tillsonburg on September 9, 1940 son of the late Iva McNAUGHTON and the late Ross SUMMERS. Fred was yard foreman at Cashway in Tillsonburg, worked at the Tobacco Warehouse in Aylmer and at Steens Pool Room. He was a lifelong resident of the farm at Springfield. Fred was a member of Malahide Masonic Lodge #140 af and am, the Aylmer Shrine Club and Mocha Temple, London. Friends may call at the H.A. Our precious husband, father, grandfather, teacher, role model, friend, traveller, scholar, craftsman, and gardener joined the Lord in glory on June 15, 2007 (Uxbridge), in his 81st year. The prayers of God's people sustained Don and his family through the medical challenges of the past year. Dearly missed by wife, Carol (née NAYLOR,) daughter, Heather (Jeff,) daughter, Bonnie (Russ), son, Rob (Tracey) and nine beloved grandchildren.
