POULIN, Jean-Luc Alcide
With great sadness we announce the death of Jean-Luc POULIN on Saturday, July 28th, 2007, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his wife and children, at the age of 67. Jean-Luc died of complications attendant upon the treatment necessary in the very unequal struggle against a brain tumour lymphona.
Jean-Luc was a devoted husband to Linda (Lye) and loving father of Jean-Louis (Aida) and Danielle (Randy). Grandpa to Christian and Matthew TENNANT and Nicolas and Sebastien POULIN. Predeceased by his parents Lucienne TOURANGEAU (1993) and Jean-Louis POULIN (1942) and his stepfather Roland CÔTÉ (2007:) older brother and mentor of Gerard POULIN (Lorraine) Claire BOURGEOIS (deceased) (Rheo,) Jean-Noel CÔTÉ (Jeanne,) Solange (Sally) ROY (Paul,) Real CÔTÉ (Marj), Louis COTE, Louise LEBEL (Tom), Michel COTE and Micheline BRASSEUR (Reg.) Favourite uncle of at last count 52 nieces and nephews.
A teacher of French par excellence at O'Neill Collegiate, Dunbarton H.S., Eastdale Collegiate and Lahr Secondary in Lahr, Germany, Jean-Luc was also French Co-ordinator for the Durham Board for four years. In his ten-year retirement he indulged his love of fishing and the outdoors, spending many happy hours catching pickerel on Lake Scugog.
We wish to express our deepest thanks to Doctor Walter CHANG, to surgeon Doctor Mark BERNSTEIN, Doctors Cynthia MENARD and Warren MASON of Princess Margaret Hospital, Doctor Nicole DEVOST of Lakeridge Health Palliative care, naturopaths Doctor Michael SMITH, Doctor Ali RAHMANIAN, and Doctor Sam ASHORE, and to our spiritual mentor Heidi McBRATNEY.
Jean-Luc's favourite charity was St. Vincent de Paul. If you would prefer, please make donations to the charity of your choice in lieu of flowers.
Family and Friends will be received at the Oshawa Funeral Home, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234), for visitation on Tuesday, July 31st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, August 1st at 3: 00 p.m. Cremation.

CULLITON, Margaret (REICH)
Passed away at the Hanover Care Centre on Sunday, October 14, 2007, Margaret CULLITON, the former Margaret REICH, beloved wife of the late James CULLITON of Ayton, at the age of 85 years.
Dear mother of Paul CULLITON of Clifford, Josephine MacKENZIE and husband Gerry of Waterloo, Peter CULLITON of Normanby Township, Teresa PLANTZ and husband Glenn of Normanby Township, Marion PLANTZ and husband Larry of Waterloo, Thomas CULLITON and friend Lisa NEWTON of Ayton and Maurice CULLITON and friend Karen HINSPERGER of Hanover.
Also survived by 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, three sisters, Rose BENNINGER of Durham, Dorothy MEYER and Lee of Hanover and Antoinette REICH of Tavistock, and one sister-in-law, Ann HORRIGAN of Toronto. Predeceased by two sisters, MaryAnn ARNOLD and Sylvia ELLIG, five brothers, Alex, Frederick, Mike, Jerome and Joseph REICH, one daughter-in-law, Sandra, one sister-in-law, Marcella REICH, and three brothers-in-law, Cornelius BENNINGER, Oscar ARNOLD and Clarence ELLIG.
Friends were received at the Garrett Funeral Chapel in Neustadt until the morning of Wednesday, October 17, 2007, then to Saint Peter's Catholic Church, Ayton for funeral mass at 11 a.m. Interment Saint Peter's Catholic Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Billy McBRIDE, Mike PLANTZ, Ryan PLANTZ, Jamie CULLITON, Aaron CULLITON and Mark MacKENZIE. The flower bearers were Angela HUGHES, Kate PLANTZ, Kim PLANTZ, Scott CULLITON and David CULLITON.

Of Hanover, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital, on Monday, January 8, 2007. He was 76. Survived by wife Laura (nee McBRIDE) HOPKINS, sons Doug (Judy) HOPKINS of Hanover, Graham (Janice) HOPKINS of R.R.#1 Chesley, Jay HOPKINS of Holland Landing, daughters Darlene (Brian) Baetz of R.R.#3 Hanover, Laureen HOPKINS of Kitchener, Diana (Mike) PROCTOR of R.R.#5 Owen Sound, grandchildren Becky Jo, Jessica, Nicole, Laurel, Joel, Erin, Tyler, Jayson, Joshua, Jaycob, Jennifer, Jeff, Jordan and Ben. Also survived by sisters Marjorie CASWELL, Glenna (Bob) MONK, Marilyn (Archie) LINDSAY all of Durham. Predeceased by brothers Royden, Donald, Leonard and a sister Joy TALBOT. Visitation at the Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Wednesday 7-9 p.m. where a Family Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 11th, 2007. Interment in Durham Cemetery. Peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound on Tuesday, May 29, 2007. Harvey CHUTER of Owen Sound in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Audrey (née BUTLER.) Dear father of Catherine and her husband Dan SHANAHAN of Sarnia, Marlene and her husband Rick BURNS and Debbie and her husband Greg MARTIN all of Owen Sound and Trevor and his wife Shelley of Sarnia. Sadly missed by four grandchildren Sharleen and her husband Paul LEONE, Kimberly and her husband Paul HURST, Chevonne MARTIN and Brendon MARTIN and five great-grandchildren Jestyn, Jayla, Lexie, Rachel and Leighton. Also survived by two sisters Ida McBRIDE of Exeter and Bessie TOWNSHEND of Clinton and two sisters in law Tillie ISAAC and Florence CHUTER. Predeceased by four sisters Doris, Mary, Margaret and Irene and three brothers Bus (Elliott), Tom and Wilfred. She will be sadly missed by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; step-children Nancy (Don) AKINS, Shelly (Bev) BUCKTON, Jim (Mary) SPRAGUE and Danny SPRAGUE; seven step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sister Edith (Elmer) GALBRAITH of Orillia and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by three sisters and two brothers. After a two year courageous battle with cancer, Mary (née SACZKOWSKI) of Shallow Lake passed away Thursday, December the 13th, 2007 in her 49th year. Beloved wife of Tim. Loving mother of Chris GIERUSZ (Courtney HOFELS) Bolton, and Amanda GIERUSZ (Chris PARISIEN) Shallow Lake. Devoted grandmother to Alex, Nicholas and Noah. Cherished sister of Cyndi (Tom FRAME) Acton, Ellen (Jeff CAMBELL) Torrance and Richard (Cathy) Kingston. Predeceased by parents Richard and Wilma (Graham HASTINGS.) Daughter-in-law of Georgina THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON, Meaford and sister-in-law of Jim THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON (Sue BROWN) Shallow Lake. Former employee of Maple View Residence of Owen Sound. Dear grandfather of Lindsay McKAY, Tara McKAY and Billy Jon FLETCHER. He will be sadly missed by his sisters Gloria McBRIDE of Kitchener and Barbara MILLER of London. Gerry was predeceased by his parents Wilbert (1976) and mother Dorothy (1994) as well as his sister Rayleene NEWSTEAD. Visitation will be held in the Needham Funeral Chapel (520 Dundas Street, London) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with a Poppy Service to be held at 7 p.m. under the auspices of the Canadian Corps. The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday January 9, 2007 at 1 p.m. at the Needham Funeral Chapel. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Peacefully, with her family by her side on Monday, January 1, 2007 at the Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga. Kaye, age 77 years, beloved wife for 52 years of Joe. Loving mother of Michael (Kim), Tim (Tracy), Pat, Paula BUERGER (Geoffrey) and Suzi. Dear grandmother of Joseph, Marie, Adam and Christopher; Mitchell and Matthew Colin, Brendan and Ian. Survived by her sisters Gladys DYMOND, Rita STUTT (Garnet), Joan SULLIVAN, and Eleanor McLAUGHLIN and by her brother John McLAUGHLIN (Barbara.) Kaye graduated as a registered nurse from Saint Michael's Hospital, Toronto. She was an active member of St. Clement Roman Catholic Parish from its inception in 1967. She was a tireless worker for charities including St. Vincent de Paul and ShareLife. President of the Catholic Women's League. She was an avid reader and a member of Markland Wood Country Club, and a past Captain of the ladies section. The family wish to express their sincere thanks to caregivers Hilda (Rosa) GRECO and Liz LOPATNIKOW. Also thanks to Doctor O'CONNOR and nurses Anita, Laurie, Melissa, Rolanda, and Carmen at Trillium Health Centre. Their kindness and compassion will always be appreciated and remembered by the family. Loving father of Marilyn MOORHOUSE, and Douglas (Gloria.) Grandfather of Elizabeth MOORHOUSE (David LEVAR) and Cameron MOORHOUSE. Great-grandfather of Alex MOORHOUSE, brother of Dalene CAMPBELL and Pat GOBEIL. Bill served his country with the Airforce in World War 2.
