FORGIE, Madeleine (formerly McGAHEY, née STEPHENSON)
Peacefully at her Ottawa home, following a brief illness, on Sunday, July 29, 2007. Madeleine was predeceased by her parents George and Molly (née WYLIE) STEPHENSON, and by first husband Arthur McGAHEY. She is survived by her husband of 57 years Donald FORGIE, her daughters Heather (John CAMPBELL) of Ottawa, Jane (Patrick DONOHUE) of Toronto, and by sons Kim (Lauren) of Houston, Patrick (Joyce) of Kemptville and the late John, thirteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, sister-in-law June FORGIE of Ottawa and cousin Margaret DALTON of Kingston. She was actively involved in community service and educational institutions in Ottawa, Toronto, St. Catharines, Warminster and Orillia, and in more recent years, in support of research initiatives at the University of Ottawa related to cancer. Friends are invited to visit at St. Basil Roman Catholic Church, 940 Rex Avenue (off Maitland north of the Queensway), Ottawa on Wednesday, August 1 from 1 p.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 3 p.m. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Toronto, the following day. After a lengthy illness on August 24th, 2007 in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Stella. Dear father of Maria and Paola and her husband James WYLIE. Sadly missed by his brother-in-law Peter HASKEY. (2 stoplights west of Yonge St.) on Monday, August 27th from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass at Holy Rosary Church, 354 St. Clair Ave. W. With tremendous sorrow and sadness, the family announces her sudden passing on Thursday, August 30, 2007 in New York City just four days shy of her 36th birthday. Much loved wife of E. Glenn HADDEN, daughter of Christine WYLIE (David) and predeceased by her father Cameron B. GRAY/GREY (Charlotte GRAY/GREY.) She will be sorely missed by her siblings Deborah GRAY/GREY (David KLUTHE,) Katie GRAY/GREY (Michael DELANEY) and Cameron GRAY/GREY, III, as well as nieces and nephew - Lauren KLUTHE, Jocelyn HADDEN, Andrew KLUTHE and Samantha HADDEN. She was blessed with a wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, godchildren and Friends. Sweet Cindy was taken from us much too soon. She touched the hearts of everyone that knew her. She experienced no greater joy in life than being around Friends and family. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 and 79 p.m. Monday, September 10th and Tuesday, September 11th. Peacefully at Markham-Stouffville Hospital, on Friday, September 14, 2007. Margaret, loving and devoted wife of the late Alfred John STEELE. Beloved mother of Elizabeth SINCLAIR and her husband Bruce. Predeceased by her sister Matilda Wolfenden WORLEY. Lovingly remembered by her niece Elaine JAMES and her husband Earl; nephews Ron HATCH and his wife Lois, Stephen STEELE and his wife Annette and Bob STEELE and his wife Gayle of Calgary, and cousin Lorraine Wolfenden WYLIE and her husband George, of Northern Ireland. Her family would like to express a 'special' thanks to '3 Centre' staff at Markham-Stouffville Hospital who cared for her in her last days; and to all of the staff at Bethany Lodge in Unionville, for their care and love during her three year stay. MacKINNON, Beverley Ann (née WYLLIE)
Peacefully on Saturday June 23rd 2007, age 69 at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital, after a brief and courageous struggle with cancer. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Ian. Proud and loving mother of Nancy (Andrew LUCAS,) of Alliston and Shawn (Tara ATHOE) of Brampton. Beloved Nana of Cameron and Shannon LUCAS, the light of Bev's life. Devoted sister to Dorothy KLAZER (Ron) and Jim WYLLIE (Fran,) of Brampton. Sister-in-law of Gordon MacKINNON, Toronto, Muriel BAIRD (the late Jim,) Ridgetown, and Jeanne MacKINNON (the late Ronald,) France. Auntie Bev will be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Cherished by her many Friends, especially colleagues in teaching, Rachel Massey and Iris Dunse. Bev and Ian left Brampton in 1992 to start their retirement adventure in Wasaga Beach. Spending time at home, the cottage, and enjoying winter vacations down South, Bev and Ian were inseparable for over 45 years. Family, Friends, needlework, Toronto Blue Jays and spending summers near Parry Sound were Bev's passion. She is now reunited with her young son, Scotty who predeceased her in 1974, and her parents, Andrew and May WYLLIE of Lambton Park and Brampton. Cremation has taken place. Friends and family are invited to Carruthers and Davidson Funeral Home, 7313 Highway 26 (Main Street), Stayner, Ontario (705-428-2637) on Thursday June 28, 2007 for visitation at 1 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 2 p.m. Refreshments following.
