WISCHNEWSKI,
Nino
Helmut (1953-2007)
It is with great sadness that we announce Nino's sudden passing
in Iqaluit on November 24, 2007. Survived and dearly missed by
his wife Heather Daley, parents Arno and Renate (Capetown), step-sons
Travis and Simon, brothers Ralph (Toronto), Marco (London), Uwe
(Johannesburg) and their families. Born in Stuttgart and raised
in South Africa, Nino immigrated to Canada in 1976 and established
many strong Friendships in Alberta, Ontario, Nova Scotia, and
Nunavut. An avid outdoorsman, nature enthusiast and long-distance
driver, Nino revelled in the Canadian wilderness, wildlife sanctuaries
of South Africa and the German Autobahn. His sense of adventure,
generous spirit and wry humour will be sorely missed. Journalist
and communications expert, Nino was a sage and talented wordsmith,
political analyst and tactician, most recently with the Nunavut
government. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation
would be appreciated by the family and will be received by Kelly
Funeral Home, 1255 Walkley Road, Ottawa, K1V 6P9, 613-731-1255.
A celebration of Nino's life will take place November 29 in Iqaluit,
and in late December in Toronto.

Richard MacDONALD
(MAC) passed away suddenly on December 16,
2007 at his home. He created so many memories and he will be
greatly missed but never forgotten. He would never want us to
mourn his life (or write a cheesy obituary about it), for he
had a great time! There will be no service by request and that
is why Sherry, Emily and Dan are throwing a party in his honour
to celebrate his life. We want to invite all who knew and loved
my dad to come to: Sylvia's Restaurant (The Sylvia Hotel) 1154 Gilford
St. (on English Bay) Vancouver, British Columbia Date: January 12,
2008 Time: 5:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Let's listen to some good music,
drink beer and share some funny stories about Richard. My dad
was never a big fan of flowers; he killed all the ones my mom
ever tried to grow. So in lieu of flowers, donations may be made
to the charitable organization that my dad fully supported and
where my mom volunteers:
