MALCOLM, Judith Fordyce Strickland
On Tuesday, November 20, 2007. Predeceased by her husband Donald Ian MALCOLM, sisters and brothers-in-law Mary ROGERS and David, Jane COLE and John, Agnes UPPER, nephews John Fordyce Cooper COLE and Michael Jonathan GEE. Survived by her son Nicholas and his wife Kathleen DONNELLY, and their children Una, Wyllie and Finlay, daughter Micheline DEBERARDINE and her husband Roger, and their children James, Maggie and Robert, twin sister Margaret STRICKLAND, brother-in law Bruce UPPER, and her cousins Beverley ARMSTRONG and Jean Hills FLEMING/FLEMMING. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews, Friends and employees. She loved her family, her gardens and travelling. Judy will be remembered for her kindness, generosity and support of Runnymede Hospital. Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 22, 2007 at 9 Burnhamthorpe Park Blvd, Toronto. Funeral Service will be held at St. George's on-the-Hill Church, 4600 Dundas St. W., Etobicoke on Friday, November 23, 2007 at 11 a.m. Interment Little Lake Cemetery, Peterborough on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 10 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to the Turner and Porter Butler Chapel, 416-231-2283. Flowers gratefully declined, donations to Kingsway College School Building Blocks Fund would be appreciated.

At the Grey Bruce Health Services in Wiarton Saturday morning July 28, 2007. Patti BURNS of Sauble Beach formerly of Brampton in her 51st year. Loved wife of Paul UPSHALL. Patti and Paul are the owners of Lakeside Home Hardware, Main Street, Sauble Beach. Loving mother of Christopher and his fiance Cassandra of Brampton and Matthew of Sauble Beach. Sister of Michael BURNS of Caledon. Predeceased by her parents Ray and Isabel BURNS. Friends may call at the Downs and son Funeral Home Hepworth Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be conducted from the Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon at 2: 00 p.m. Interment Brampton Cemetery following cremation. Memorial contributions to Vision 2002 (Sauble Area Medical Clinic) or the Cancer Society would be appreciated as your expression of sympathy. CLARKE, Ronald Jack (1933-2007)
At 73, peacefully in Toronto on June 23, 2007 after hugely courageous and gutsy medical battles in recent years; born at home in a tiny apartment in the Beach at Queen and Beach Aves., the son of the late Harry and Sadie CLARKE, survived by his two daughters Carey and Lee and their mother Jacqueline Patricia and two brothers Harry and Donald CLARKE. As a youth, Ron was lead paddler war canoeist at Balmy Beach Club regattas, later senior colour lithographer at Rolph, Clarke and Stone, flying instructor at Buttonville Airport, vocalist on both Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and CKEY radio and Canadian Broadcasting Corporation-television variety shows, studied music in both Toronto (Ontario Conservatory of Music) and New York; latterly, department Manager at the University of Toronto main campus for 25 years until retirement; a keen sailor, he was also an accomplished artist and past President of the Ontario Society of Artists, his donated canvasses hanging in several Sunnybrook Health and Sciences Centre buildings. Ron became a solo vocalist with Encore Symphony Band and at Sunnybrook Veteran's Wing. Grateful and extensive thanks for their care and devotion to Doctor Ross UPSHUR, Doctor Reginald GILBERT and Mrs. Betty CRICHTON (and their staffs) at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, and to his long-time advisor John M. LOWNDES, Q.C. At his request a private graveside service was held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, followed by a private reception in his honour. The family of the late Harold MacAINSH wish to express their sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to our family, Friends and neighbours for their flowers, food, donations and support. Special thanks to Doctor S. LUKE and the nurses and doctors at Parkwood Palliative Care Unit for their compassion and excellent care. A special thanks to Father Phillip UPTGROVE for his many visits and support and for the beautiful service that captured the true essence of Harold's life and sense of humour. Thanks to Dean ARMITAGE for his kind words and our daughter Susan for all her love and help during this difficult time. Special thanks to Shirley ARMITAGE, June and Peter LANGDON for their support and caring during these past months. Peacefully at home on Wednesday, July 25th, 2007 in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Marion (née MILLS) for 64 years. Loving father of Louise CRAGG and her husband Chris, and Lorna UPTON and her husband Doug. Special Grandpa to Colin (Caroline), Cheryl and Cameron CRAGG, and David and Duane UPTON. Great-grandpa to Ethan CRAGG. Survived by brother Rupert LEE and sister Ruth WILSON. Predeceased by brothers Ronald, Elmer and Kenneth. Will be fondly remembered by their extended families. Lloyd left the family farm in Greenbank to forge a successful career in Toronto real estate, but remained a lifelong supporter of his home community. He was a strong supporter of the United Church, particularly Leaside United, Greenbank Gamblers baseball club and many other causes. He was an avid athlete well into his 80's and followed curling, hockey and baseball games daily. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, July 30th. Service will be held in Leaside United Church, 822 Millwood Road, on Tuesday, July 31st at 10: 30 a.m. with reception following. Interment at Greenbank Cemetery, at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31st, Friends may gather afterwards at the Greenbank United Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Leaside United Church, Greenbank United Church or the charity of your choice. Condolences and memories may be forwarded through www.humphreymiles.com.

UPTON, Doctor John Cliffe
(December 24, 1952-October 31, 2007)
Beloved and devoted father to Thomas and Phillip, loving son to Cliffe UPTON, loving brother to Donna (Dick FORD,) Susan, Rodger (Hilary PERCY) and Glen plus 17 wonderful nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his brother Michael June 4, 1970 and his mother Gwen, October 31, 2003. John was raised in Vancouver then practiced Chiropractic for many years in Williams Lake and Victoria. Johns struggle to overcome his cancer ended peacefully at the Victoria Hospice. His kindness, his companionship and his love will be sorely missed. His hands and his heart have left an imprint on his many Friends and patients. Everyone is welcome to a celebration of John's life on Saturday, November 10th at 1 p.m. at the Victoria Golf and Country Club.
