It is with great sadness that we share in the peaceful passing
of our dearly beloved mom, grandma, and great-grandma, on Thursday,
November 29, 2007 at Saint Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, at the age
of 92. Elda was a resident of Village Manor (St. Jacobs), formerly
of Owen Sound and Lion's Head. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth
David (1999.) Cherished mother of Mary Jane and Bill
SCHENKEL
of St. Clements. Devoted grandma of Lisa and Jeff
HELDMANN of
Waterloo, David
SCHENKEL and girlfriend Michelle
CALI of Toronto.
Cherished great-grandma of Kaitlyn
MAY. Survived by her loving
sister Beatrice of Mississauga. Will be sadly missed by many
nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents John Nathaniel
TACKABERRY and Mary Ann
TYNDALL; brothers Austin, Clinton, Harvey,
Cecil, and Roy. Elda enjoyed creating memories with her family,
many church activities, and social gatherings with Friends. Elda's
family will receive relatives and Friends on Saturday, December 1,
2007 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home,
507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation on Sunday,
December 2, 2007 at Calvary United Church (48 Hawkesville Rd,
St. Jacobs) from 1-1: 45 p.m. followed by a celebration of Elda's
life at 2 p.m. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound, on
Monday, December 3rd, 2007 at 1 p.m. In memory of Elda, donations
to Division Street United Church Owen Sound would be appreciated
(donations can be made directly by calling the church office,

TYNER)
Betty McLEOD decided to, in her own words, 'just get on with
it', and died in Mississauga Trillium Hospital in the early morning
hours of October 24, 2007. She was born in 1917 in Bournemouth,
England to Colonel H.R.
TYNER and his wife
Emily
(STRUDWICK.)
She was the widow of Major H.I.T.
McLEOD, and is survived by
five children-Harvey (Gina), Hampton, New Brunswick; Susie, (Ottawa,
Ontario); Jim (Nancy), Quispamsis, N. B; Tory (Roger), Brampton,
Ontario; Charles, (Ottawa, Ontario); ten grandchildren and five
great-grandchildren. Graduated from Toronto Western Hospital
in 1939 and joined the army for war time service in England.
When she settled in Toronto she resumed her career as a staff
nurse at Queensway General Hospital. A funeral service will be
held at the Simple Alternative Funeral Centres Mississauga Chapel,
1535 South Gateway Rd. (two stoplights south of Eglinton off
Dixie) Saturday, October 27th at 11 a.m. reception to follow.

Street (near Keele), on Thursday, July 12 from 5-9 p.m. Panachida
7: 30 p.m. Funeral Service Friday, July 13, 2007 at 10 a.m., then
to St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral for the Orthodox
Rite of Funeral at 10: 30 a.m. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery. In
lieu of flowers donations to the Hospital for Sick Children would
be appreciated.
