On Tuesday, October 9, 2007 at Sunnybrook Hospital. Beloved husband of Edith. Loving father of Jackie, and Brian. son of the late Rose and Boris TOROBIN, and beloved son-in-law of the late Molly Charness (ETCOVITCH.) Brother and brother-in-law of Leonard and Marcia TOROBIN, and Allan and Rusty TOROBIN, and brother-in-law of the late Rita and Maurice NAYER. Beloved uncle to the Nayer children. At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue W., (three lights west of Dufferin) for service on Wednesday, October 10th at 2: 30 p.m. Then to Paperman and Sons Funeral Home, Montreal, for service on Thursday, October 11th at 2: 00 p.m. Interment will follow at Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beth Zion Congregation section, Beaconsfield, Quebec. Shiva will begin on Sunday, October 14th at 1210 Don Mills Rd., #414, Toronto. In Los Angeles, after a short illness, on August 1, 2007. Ellie, beloved wife of Doctor Richard BERLIN and caring mother of Bill, Bev, and Bruce, will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Sam, Ben, and Joey. Bound by memories to the class of '49 T.G.H. School of Nursing, Ellie will be missed.

TORRANCE, Kenneth Alexander Reesor
(September 29, 1928-September 14, 2007)
Peacefully at Niagara-on-the-Lake Hospital on Friday, September 14, 2007. Dearly loved and loving husband of Gloria (née PEGG) and devoted father of Martha, Emily and Laura. Ken will be sadly missed by his son-in-law John Gillan and granddaughter Kaelyn.
Ken was the youngest child of the late John Alexander TORRANCE and Laura Muriel REESOR of Locust Hill, Ontario. He is survived by his sister Barbara of Locust Hill and was predeceased by his brother Roderick.
A celebration of Ken's life will be held in the Chapel, Toronto Necropolis, 200 Winchester Street, on Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at 1: 00 p.m.
If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Niagara-on-the-Lake Hospital Foundation, 176 Wellington Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario L0S 1J0 would be appreciated by the family.

TORRIE, Dorothy Eileen (KENNEDY)
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, November 2, 2007. The former Dorothy Eileen KENNEDY, of Guelph and formerly of Durham, in her 98th year.
Beloved wife of the late John TORRIE. Loving mother of Harold TORRIE and his wife Mabel of Barrie, Phyllis and her husband Harold McKENZIE of Guelph, Leone and her husband Tom MARSHALL of Oro Station, Arthur TORRIE and his wife Marylen of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Glen TORRIE and his wife Gwen of Orillia and Brian TORRIE and his wife Elizabeth of Stayner.
Fondly remembered by her 19 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her parents Robert and Mary KENNEDY, her brothers: John, Fred, George, Jim, Ken and William KENNEDY; and her sisters: Mabel WALKER, Violet McEWEN and Roberta KENNEDY.
Visitation was held at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Monday from 2: 30-4 p.m. and 7-9 pm.
A Celebration of Dorothy's Life was held at the Durham Baptist Church on Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock. Pastor Robert LITTLE and Pastor David CLARKE officiated. Joyce REAY played the organ. The congregation sang, “Amazing Grace” and “Room at the Cross for You.” Tributes were given by Glen TORRIE, Glen McKENZIE and Valerie CLARK. Sharon KENNEDY sang two solos and The Gospel Couriers sang, “My Shepherd is Leading Me Home” and “What a Day That Will Be.&rdquo
The pall bearers were Harold TORRIE, Arthur TORRIE, Glen TORRIE, Brian TORRIE, Tom MARSHALL and Harold McKENZIE.
Committal Service and interment was held at Maplewood Cemetery, Varney. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Durham Baptist Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.

Mac is the 3rd grandchild for Christopher and Gay CAMPBELL and the 19th for Leta TORRIE. Thanks to Aunt Susan and Cousin Laura for their help in welcoming him into the world.
