It is with great sadness that our family announces the sudden passing of Ruth Ann LEMIEUX (FERGUSON) 51 years old on May 22, 2007 at Sudbury General Hospital.
A mother, daughter, sister, grandmother and friend. She will be sadly missed by her mother Betty Jean FERGUSON (WYMAN,) father Bill FERGUSON, her loving siblings Gayle TILBURY (Jeff,) Bev ALEXANDER, husband Robert), Jackie McKENZIE, Sharon FERGUSON (Steve), Billy FERGUSON (wife Shelley) and special friend Brent BRADLEY. Her memory will always be carried on by her four daughters and four grandchildren. Friends visited May 26, 2007 from 1: 30-4 pm. Funeral services followed in the Chapel. Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home.

TILLER, The Reverend Canon James Douglas "Jim"
Passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 8th surrounded by his devoted family, in his 84th year. He is survived by his faithful wife Jayne (née STONER,) his children Douglas (Jacqui,) Mark (Dale), Mary Jane, Sarah and Amanda (Jody). He was Grandfather Jim, 'the "Gup" to Tania, Quinn (Harry), Katie (Gary), Julia (Mark), Harley, Todd, Daniel, Adam, Hannah, Douglas, Jeremy and Joshua. Great-grandfather to Ava, Liam, Gabriel, Eric and Ashlene. Friends may call on Monday, August 13th, 2007 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Wednesday, August 15th at 11 a.m. at St. George's Anglican Church (77 Randall Drive in Pickering Village, Ajax). The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.

MacLEAN, Mary Margaret " Marg" (née DAVIS)
Peacefully, in hospital, with her family at her side, on 25 July 2007, Ottawa, Ontario. Born 25 February 1916, Winnipeg, Manitoba to Robert J. DAVIS (Larne, Northern Ireland) and Ethel M. ABERNETHY (Kingston, Ontario). Marg joins her dear, late husband, Roderick Watson MacLEAN (1979,) and two precious children, Duncan and Katherine (1945). Beloved mother of Brian Roderick of Ottawa (Debbie GIBSON) and Margaret Joan (Arnold DAGENAIS) of Vancouver, and loving Gramma Marg to Duncan and Brilee. She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Robert A. and Elinore DAVIS, sisters-in-law, Jean and Jessie MacLEAN and Betty TILLEY, brothers-in-law, Bruce MacLEAN and Reid TILLEY, and cousin, Irene POWERS. She is survived by brother-in-law, John MacLEAN (Toronto,) sister-in-law Joy MacLEAN (Calgary,) and Clarke and MaryLou GIBSON (Wasaga Beach). Marg delighted in her family as mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, step-grandmother, great step-grandmother, aunt and great aunt, and was a wonderful friend to all who knew her. She will be remembered with much love. A member of 'the Chestnut Street gang' with Edna Houston and the late Allie Williams, Marg was educated at Kelvin High School in Winnipeg and the University of Manitoba before moving to Ottawa and Queen's University (B.A., 1937). She and her dear friend, Isobel Muir, met at Queen's. At Carleton University Marg was Secretary to the Graduate School. An avid 'B' golfer, Marg was a long-time member of the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club, a past captain of the women golfers at the Hunt Club, played regularly with the business women and curled when the snow came. She loved bridge and played regularly till just before her death. A love of travel took her from Russia to New Zealand with family visits to Mexico and to cousin, Ibby BELL, in Northern Ireland. She was an active member of Glebe Saint_James United Church. For years she was a community volunteer. For the last several years Marg was part of the community at The Palisades Ottawa where she had many long-time and new Friends who were wonderful company. The Glebe had been her neighbourhood since coming to Ottawa, even while living in Alta Vista. Thank you all for your Friendships. Family and Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa, Wednesday, 1 August 2007 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Marg's Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, 2 August 2007 at 1 p.m. Interment at Beechwood Cemetery. Donations can be made in Marg's memory to the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario. Thanks to the staff at The Palisades-Ottawa, the nursing staff of 8 West at the Ottawa General Hospital and in particular, to Doctor BARNES, Doctor MacKINNON, Hillary GRAHAM and Kelly Ann BAINES for their caring support. KARON, Kurt S.
Peacefully passed away at Sunrise Assisted Living in Windsor, Ontario on November 16, 2007 at the age of 101. Predeceased by his first wife Irene (TILLICH) and son Ralph. Survived by his second wife Madeleine (GOURDON) of Joyeuse, France, son Dan and wife Rita, daughter-in-law Irene, grandchildren Kim, Ann, Ted, Irene and Kevin. Great-grandchildren Grace, Ryan, Kristopher, Katherine, Rebecca, Amy and Cole. He lived a full and active life travelling in Europe, Middle East and North America and was a successful banker and businessman. He was a longtime member of the Montreal Board of Trade and St. Luke's United Church. Friends and family may pay their respects at the Windsor Chapel Funeral Home, 1700 Tecumseh Road East, on Saturday, November 24, 2007 from 1 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow with interment at Mount Royal Cemetery in Montreal. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

GOSS, Kathleen Marie (née McCARTHY) (1955-2006)
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Kathleen Marie GOSS (née McCARTHY) on December 29, 2006, at the age of 51 years. She was recently battling breast cancer complications, which resulted in cardiac arrest. Kathleen is survived by her loving husband, Rob, and her two beautiful daughters, Nicole and Lindsay. She is also remembered by her brothers, Peter, Brian, and Daniel McCARTHY; her sisters, Maureen McCARTHY and Naomi DIRAGO; her dad, Owen, and his wife, Mary McCARTHY; Mary's family, Cathy DAVIES, Cheryle TILLY, and Bill McNABB; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Kathleen was predeceased by her mother, Virgina McCARTHY (née PORTER.) Kathleen was born to Owen and Virginia McCARTHY in Toronto, Ontario, on June 6, 1955. She was an active volunteer in the church, including the youth advisory council, Eucharistic ministry, pastoral care, sacramental preparation, and Sunday school. In addition, she volunteered at her daughters' schools within class, on hot lunch committees, on the community of caring committee, as secretary within the music society, and as secretary on the parent's council. Within the community she was a blood donor, and gave generously to many charities. In July of 2006 Kathleen landed her dream job, as student advisor within Biological Sciences at the University of Calgary. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched. Relatives and Friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Ascension Catholic Church (1100 Berkshire Boulevard N.W.) on Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at 7: 00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Ascension Catholic Church (1100 Berkshire Boulevard N.W.) on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at 1: 30 p.m. with the Rev. Ignatius Tran, Presider. Graveside Service to follow in Saint_Joseph's at Queen's Park Cemetery. BUSEY, Gary Winston
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gary BUSEY, on Saturday August 18th, 2007, with his family at his side. Loving father of Jason BUSEY and his wife Tammy of Owen Sound, Dennis BUSEY and his fiancée Christina LETENDRE of Owen Sound. Beloved brother of Shirley BARFOOT and friend John TILSON of Owen Sound, Sheldon BUSEY and his wife Frankie of Vancouver. Predeceased by his parents Emerson and Katie (née STEIP) BUSEY, his sister Mary Elizabeth BUSEY, and his brother Ed BUSEY. Also sadly missed by 3 grandchildren Kayla, Brooke, and Mitchell. Gary will also be missed by his many close Friends. Gary was well known for his humour, friendliness, and positive outlook, and enjoyed the company of his Friends and family. He had a life long interest in antique cars and his Studebaker. In his younger days, Gary worked on the Van Dolder snowmobile team, and was a loyal worker at Van Wycks for many years. Friends are invited to the Tannahill Funeral Home for visiting on Tuesday, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Garys life will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, August 22, at 11 o'clock with Pastor Brian JASPER officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

TILSTON, Mark Andrew, P.Eng, PhD
Passed away peacefully at home on June 21, 2007 surrounded by his family after a brave battle with melanoma. Mark, much loved husband of Jackie (née WOOD) and loving father of Michael (Georgetown) and Megan (Toronto) was able to live and enjoy one perfect year on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. Sadly missed by his mother Eloi TILSTON (Kemptville,) his brother Stephen and wife Joanne (Perth), his brother David and wife Janice (Perth), and his sister Carol and husband Carl CANNON (Kemptville,) along with all his nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by all the members of Jackie's family -- his in-laws, Ron and Jean WOOD (Salt Spring Island,) sister-in-law Jill and husband Bruce LONG (Furry Creek, British Columbia) and sister-in-law Jennifer and husband Neil COURT (East Sussex, United Kingdom). Mark requested that there be no service but that his ashes be scattered at a special place that he chose on the Island. If Friends so desire, donations may be made in his memory to Lady Minto Hospital Foundation, 135 Crofton Road, Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, V8K 1T1 or to Bessie Dane Foundation and Hospice, Box 521 Ganges P.O., Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, V8K 2W2. A very special thank you is extended by his family to Doctor Shane Barclay (Salt Spring Island) and Doctor Andrew Attwell (British Columbia Cancer Centre - Victoria), all the staff of the Palliative Care Unit as well as the very supportive home care and nursing staff of the Home and Community Care Service (Salt Spring Island) for helping us through such a difficult time.

Passed away peacefully at Cama Woodlands Nursing Home, Burlington, Erna "Mugsie" TILTON, January 8th, 2007 in her 98th year. Predeceased by her husband Fred. Mother of Anne BLAIKLOCK and her husband Bill of Manotick, Ontario, and Bob and his wife Ellie of Oakville. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Rick BLAIKLOCK (Liz ZUIANI) and Nancy GREENLEY (Mike) and great-grandchildren Melanie, Kaitlin, Sydney and Charlotte, all of Ottawa. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will be held at Smith's Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line, (one stoplight north of Queen Elizabeth Way) Burlington (905-632-3333) on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 1 p.m. Special thanks to the caring staff at Cama Woodlands.
