PLUNKETT, Murray Alan
At Hamilton General Hospital on Sunday, July 15, 2007, Murray A. PLUNKETT of Heritage Village in Vineland, aged 81 years. Predeceased by his wife, Marjorie in 2006. Father of Alana and her husband Roy ANDREWS. Also survived by grandchildren Lisa and Stephen MOSTOWY, Michael BUTCHER and Jasmine TAULLA. Predeceased by brother Ron PLUNKETT. Survived by sister-in-law Valerie PLUNKETT. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Murray's life will be held at the Vineland Chapel of the Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St. on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 10: 30 a.m. A reception will follow in the Tallman Fireside Room. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

TAUNTON, Grace Hunter (née BAXTER)
Peacefully at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound on Thursday evening July 5, 2007. In her 80th year, Grace Hunter TAUNTON (née BAXTER.) Beloved wife of the late Roy Wilfred TAUNTON. Loved mother of Bruce TAUNTON and his wife Kay, Janice and her husband Lorne PARKIN, Steven TAUNTON, Kim LANG and Christopher TAUNTON and his wife Teirney. Loving grandmother of eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Bill BAXTER and his wife Audrey. Predeceased by her sister Jean LILLIE. Interment will be in Oxenden Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family (and may be made by calling Breckenridge-Ashcroft Funeral Home, Owen Sound 519-376-2326).

MEEHAN, Justice Michael
71 years, Friday, October 26th, 2007 in Sudbury. Survived by daughters Patricia Lynn MEEHAN of Sudbury, Diane Michelle MEEHAN of Little Current, Kathryn L. MEEHAN of Kitchener and Maia WERTHEIM of Toronto, grand_sons; Reid and Evan CORMIER, Brock Meehan TAUS, Luke and Owen SINCLAIR. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Winnifred 'Honey' MEEHAN. Michael was the Senior Partner of Meehan, Maranger, Horeck and Pharand with branches in Sudbury, Espanola and Manitoulin Island, he served as the Federal Prosecutor for the Districts of Sudbury and Manitoulin. He served on City Council, with distinction. Michael was appointed, the youngest ever at the time, to the Federal Bench, in 1973. As a Judge he was active in many Ontario Districts, including a tenure as Regional Senior Justice of Lambton County. He completed his time as a Justice in his home town of Sudbury, as the longest serving Justice in Ontario. He was a member of the Canada Pension Appeals Board. An avid sailor and outdoorsman, he was very proud of his Irish heritage. Michael was widely travelled, but most happy at his cottage on Birch Lake. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St. Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church, Wednesday, October 31st, 2007 at 10 a.m. Prayers 8 p.m. Tuesday. Donations to the Cancer Center or Sudbury Arts Council would be appreciated. (Friends may call 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday).
