It is with great sadness that his family announce Wallace's death
on Monday, July 30, 2007, at Hopital Centre Hospitalier Saint_Joseph
in La Malbaie, Québec. He died with his wife and best friend
for 53 years, Peggie
(COWAN) by his bedside. Surviving him are
his daughters Belinda of Oxford, England and Tisha of Toronto,
son Graham (Sylvie

Wallace was born in Montreal on September 5, 1923. He completed
studies at Westmount High School and earned his Bachelor of Commerce
as part of McGill's class of '44. After training as a fighter
pilot with the Royal Canadian Air Force, Wallace joined Price
Waterhouse and was awarded the gold medal for Quebec when he
qualified as a chartered accountant. He worked for the firm in
Montreal, France, Morocco, Italy, North Africa and Edmonton.
Wallace was a Past President of the Arbitrators Institute of
Ontario, Canadian Governor of the American Society of Appraisers,
and a Fellow of the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants.
He was a long time trustee and treasurer of the Murray Bay Protestant
Church. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, August
3rd at the Murray Bay Protestant Church in Pointe au Pic, Québec.
Burial will be at a later date in Woodbridge, Ontario. In lieu
of flowers, donations may be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital
or the Murray Bay Protestant Church.

of Peggie BEATON on Wednesday, Novemer 28th, 2007 at Baycrest
Hospital. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 53 years, Wallace,
this past July at their summer home Murray Bay, Quebec. Peggie
leaves behind her daughters Belinda of Oxford, England, Tisha
of Toronto, and her son Graham (Sylvie
TASSÉ) of Dunrobin, Ontario,
and her grand_son Alexandre. Born in Montreal in 1918, Peggie
was the daughter of the late William Graham
COWAN and Mary Helen
DOOLEY.
She was predeceased by her sister Jaqueline Rose (Reginald)
JONES.
Peggy was educated by the Madams of the Sacret Heart in
Montreal and worked in the non-profit sector of business until
her marriage to Wallie in 1954. Throughout her life, mother was
active in volunteer work with the Red Cross, the Cancer Society,
and the Chancel Guilds of both Christ Church and The Murray Bay
Protestant Church. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. on Monday,
December 3rd at Christ Church Anglican, 8045 Islington Ave.,
Woodbridge, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Doctor Joan
Murphy's Research at Princess Margaret Hospital would be appreciated.
