STASIUK, Charlotte V. (née TACHE)
Passed away, on the Feast Day of St. Vladimir, on Sunday, July 15th, 2007 at Oakville in her 81st year. Beloved wife of, and predeceased by her husband Peter. Loving mother of Ann (Rick), Peter (Sandra), Paul (Mickey,) Joseph (Lisa,) and Charlotte (Paul) RICHARDSON. Cherished Baba of Patrick, Mark, Mary, Elizabeth, Allison, Peter James, Andrew, Chris, Thomas, Alexandra, Sydney, Natasha, Katrina, and Emily. Survived by her sister Natalie (Rhode Island) and predeceased by her brother Stanley. Charlotte was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on April 3rd, 1926. She graduated from the University of Western Ontario (Brescia College) in 1948 and married Peter on June 25th, 1955 at Delhi, Ontario. She was happiest at home with a house full of family and Friends. Charlotte also found time to serve as a member of the Ukrainian Catholic Women's League and the North York Physicians Wives Association. A Girl Guide Leader in Delhi, Ontario, she also taught English to Spanish students following her university studies. Friends may call on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at St. Vladimir's Ukrainian Catholic Church (15 Church Street, Thornhill). Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. LEGATE, John H.
Peacefully at the Perley, Rideau Veterans' Health Centre, Ottawa on Thursday, September 6, 2007. Beloved husband of Lynn (TACHÉ,) caring father of Sari (Zsolt SARY,) Bartholomew, and proud grandfather of Matyas LEGATE- SARY. Predeceased by his parents Sarah Olivia TOMS and George Inglis LEGATE, and brother George LEGATE (Norma.) The family would like to thank Doctors Tobin, Salcedo and Nassim for their care and attentiveness and wonderfully kind and caring staff of Gatineau 2 North and more recently Rideau 2 South, as well as Recreation, Creative Arts, Food, Housekeeping, and Plant services staff and the Management teams who contributed so vitally to John's comfort and well being during his 3 year residency at the Perley Rideau Veterans' Health Centre. Funeral arrangements private in keeping with John's wishes. Those who would like to remember John are invited to gathering at the family home Sunday, September 16th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. In memoriam donations to the Perley, Rideau Veterans' Health Centre, the Alzheimer Society of Ottawa, or the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated. In his 76th year. November 14, 2007 at the Penetang General Hospital, Penetanguishene, Ontario. Peacefully and surrounded by his family after fighting his long illness with great optimism and greater courage. Will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Joye (née TACKABERRY) of 50 years. Lovingly remembered and admired by his children Valerie (Richard) PIEKARZ and Brenda (Brian) IRELAND, his grandchildren Nicholas BRYCE, Kayla FRANCES, Jerrad BRIAN, Lauren EMILY, his niece Carol DINEEN and his Aunt and Uncle Sammy and William TINER. Predeceased by his sister Dorothy (Leo) DINEEN and his parents Nelson and Keziah. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Wilf's Life to take place at Saint Paul's United Church, 308 King Street, Midland, Ontario on November 17, 2007. Visitation to take place at 10: 30 a.m. followed by service at 11:30 a.m. Reception to follow. If desired, donations to Saint Paul's United Church or The Royal Victoria Hospital Oncology Unit.

MacDONALD, Elda May (née TACKABERRY)
It is with great sadness that we share in the peaceful passing of our dearly beloved mom, grandma, and great-grandma, on Thursday, November 29, 2007 at Saint Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, at the age of 92. Elda was a resident of Village Manor (St. Jacobs), formerly of Owen Sound and Lion's Head. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth David (1999.) Cherished mother of Mary Jane and Bill SCHENKEL of St. Clements. Devoted grandma of Lisa and Jeff HELDMANN of Waterloo, David SCHENKEL and girlfriend Michelle CALI of Toronto. Cherished great-grandma of Kaitlyn MAY. Survived by her loving sister Beatrice of Mississauga. Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents John Nathaniel TACKABERRY and Mary Ann TYNDALL; brothers Austin, Clinton, Harvey, Cecil, and Roy. Elda enjoyed creating memories with her family, many church activities, and social gatherings with Friends. Elda's family will receive relatives and Friends on Saturday, December 1, 2007 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Visitation on Sunday, December 2, 2007 at Calvary United Church (48 Hawkesville Rd, St. Jacobs) from 1-1: 45 p.m. followed by a celebration of Elda's life at 2 p.m. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound, on Monday, December 3rd, 2007 at 1 p.m. In memory of Elda, donations to Division Street United Church Owen Sound would be appreciated (donations can be made directly by calling the church office, 519-376-3890). After a courageous battle, on Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at Lakeridge Health Centre, Oshawa, in his 68th year. Doug, loving husband of Sheila TAÇON- BUSH, loving dad of Catherine HORN and her husband Andy, Scott BUSH and Shannon, Paul TAÇON and his wife Susie, Daphne TAÇON, Carl TAÇON and his wife Lyn. Proud papa of Georgina, Adrian, Astrid, Deanna, Billy, Jennifer and David. Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, (905-727-5421), on Friday, September 28 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, September 29 at 2 p.m. Memorial donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
