Age 81 years passed away peacefully at home on Monday August
6. 2007 in North Sanich, British Columbia after a lengthy illness.
Lorne was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba February 12, 1926. survived
by his wife Thelma of 58 years, daughters Susan (Calgary) Judith

Predeceased by infant son Thomas and sister Bernice
LOW/LOWE/LOUGH.
Graduated from University of Manitoba 1949 with a degree in Chartered
Accounting articling with George A Touche and co. then was President and
Chief Executive Officer of Vulcan Machinery and Equipment until
his retirement.
Lorne and Thelma lived in Kenora where he served as President of
the Kenora Kinsman Club and Kin District Secretary. Upon his
move to Thunder Bay he became President of the Port Arthur Rotary
Club and served as Rotary Governor for District 558 covering
Northern Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin and Northern Ontario.
He was given a Paul Harris Fellowship by the Port Arthur Rotary
Club. He was a member of the Sidney Probus Club.
He served as National President of the Canadian Association of
Equipment Distributors, Chairman of the United Way Campaign and
Red Cross and was a Past President of the Thunder Bay Foundation.
He enjoyed his summers spent at Trout Lake, golf, curling, gardening,
fishing, bridge, baseball, hockey, football, boating, skiing,
cryptic crosswords and reading.
He had a marvelous sense of humor was perceptive, realistic,
concerned and an original thinker.

Cowan and the Peninsula Home Care Nurses.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Lorne's life will
be held Friday August 10 2007 at 1: 30 at St. Andrew's Anglican
Church, Sidney, British Columbia.
Should Friends wish a donation to a charity of their choice should
be made.

British Columbia.
