Vance, O.C., O.B.C.
Author, teacher, community activist, and role model, died in
her home on Galiano Island on November 28, 2007 surrounded by
family members. She was 76. The cause of death was complications
from cancer. Jane

(Libby) and her husband David
WALKER, and of Arthur Richards

Ann
RULE; she was the loving aunt of Alison
Rule WALKER and her partner Ali

Jane will be greatly
missed by grandnieces and nephews, Taylor and Joey

RULE; and by her goddaughters

BURNHARDT; as well as her
many colleagues, Friends, fans, and readers. In lieu of flowers,
