Peacefully on October 7, 2007 in her 94th year, Bess WENER, beloved and loving wife to the late Charles WENER, adored mother and mother-in-law to Noreen and Bernie NISKER, Howard and Gloria WENER, Norval WENER and Barbara FIDLER. Cherished grandmother to Craig NISKER and Mona HOLMES, Suri NISKER and Eric YAVERBAUM, Merrill NISKER, Alana and Ron FRANK, Barak WENER and Reut LITMAN, and Alex FIDLER- WENER, and devoted great-grandmother to Cole and Jace YAVERBAUM, Nadav and Gilad FRANK, and Peleg WENER. Dear sister to Molly RIBA, Ruth ULRICH and Stanley BESEN, and the late Moe BESEN, Ann GOLD, Rose WADLER, and Al BESEN. Fondly remembered by her brother-in-law Mitchel ULRICH, her sister-in-law Eleanor BESEN, sister-in-law Ruth LEFKOWITZ, nephews, nieces and many other relatives. Our deepest appreciation to the wonderful Alla SAMEDOV for her deep devotion and care, and to Gala and the caregiving staff. Funeral service to be held at Steeles Memorial Chapel 350 Steeles Ave. West (between Yonge and Bathurst) at 11: 00 a.m. Tuesday, October 9. Shiva will be observed at 481 Cranbrooke Avenue. Donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada Research 416-967-3036 or the charity of your choice would be most appreciated. Bess has left us a legacy of love, generosity, humility and family unity.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Martha Evelyn PYPER (LOCKWOOD) on October, 11, 2007 in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Donald Gardner, devoted mother of Sandy (Janet), Liz and Ian, loving grandmother of Madeleine (Tina), Tim, Donald and Rosalind and adoring great-grandmother of Delwyn. The family would like to thank Doctor G. CHRISTAKIS, Doctor N. ADHIKARI and the staff of the cardio-vascular intensive care unit at Sunnybrook Hospital for their wonderful care. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, November 3rd, 2007 at 11: 00 a.m. at Trinity College Chapel, 6 Hoskin Avenue, Toronto. She will be sadly missed by her most loving aunts and uncles, cousins, her most loving and dearest Friends, Margot and Debbie, and all those whose lives she touched. After a valiant battle with cancer Olinda Ribau PRICE passed away peacefully at Ian Anderson House on Wednesday, October 3, 2007. Beloved wife of the late Paul PRICE. Cherished mother of Vivelinda RIBAU. Dear stepmother of Judy (Hugo) VIGNALI, Jackie PRICE and Paul (Sandra) PRICE. Loving grandmother of John Paul, Andrew, David, Jonathan, David and Victoria. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr, 905 844-2600) from 7-9 p.m. Friday October 5, 2007. Funeral Mass 10: 30 a.m. Saturday at Saint Dominic Catholic Church, 2415 Rebecca Street, Oakville. Cremation. Loving wife of Maurice HARDMAN and the late Irwin R.J. WAUGH. Loving mother of Bonnie-Lynn and her husband Brian COLLIE, Mary-Jo and her husband Tim MILLMAN, Cindy and her husband Brad HOUSTON, Sue-Ellen and her husband Steve IRVING, Randy HARDMAN, Cheryl and her husband Jeff DYER and Shelley HARDMAN. Loving grandmother of sixteen grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Marvin WEIR, Ila (Mrs. Mansil NIXON) and Dorothy (Mrs. Gerald RIBBEL.) Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her grandaughter Chelsey and two great-grand_sons Jak and Ben. Marg CUTTING (née RIBEY,) beloved wife of Bev CUTTING of Meaford, passed away at the Meaford Hospital on Tuesday October 9, 2007 at the age of 66. Loved mother of Sandra VINCE (Ken) of Stirling, and Raymond CUTTING (Kathie) of Garner, North Carolina and sadly missed grandmother of Alex and Aaron VINCE and Courtney and Kyle CUTTING. Dear sister of Lois (Bill) JOHNSTON of Paisley, Murray (Dorothy) RIBEY of R.R.#4 Paisley, and Ross (Joyce) RIBEY of Seaforth. Predeceased by a brother Charles RIBEY and remembered by sister-in-law Pat of Saskatchewan. Also survived by sisters-in-law Leona (Bud) NUTTALL and Isobel (late Tom) CUTTING of Owen Sound and fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews and their families. Beloved husband of Lily (née THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON.) Dear father of Marlene and her husband Ron CALHOUN of R.R.#1, Elmwood, Don HAMMELL of Hanover and Elaine and her husband Bryce STEVENSON of Owen Sound. Sadly missed by seven grandchildren Debbie RIBEY, Brian CALHOUN, Trevor CALHOUN, Kevin HAMMELL, Kim BROSS, Lisa McVITTIE and Sherry McCONNELL and eleven great-grandchildren. Also survived by his sister May CORMIER of Tiverton and his sister-in-law Norma HAMMELL of Tara. Predeceased by his brother Lorne HAMMELL. Friends are invited to the Tannahill Funeral Home for visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Monday morning at 11 o'clock with Rev. Kristal McGEE officiating. Interment, Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara.
