FEIGELSON, Abe (1917-2007)
In Montreal in his 90th year after a prolonged illness. He was a fighter to the end. Beloved husband of Ruth (REISLER.) He was a family man, loving father of Debbie (Gerry RAVETTE) and Steve FEIGELSON, Paul (Michelle), Joseph (Nancy), and the late Ernest (Janet) CARON. Cherished grandfather of Jason and Michael Feigelson RAVETTE, Jeremy (Catherine) FEIGELSON, Ted (Anna) and Joanna (Arik) CARON, and Ariane GUBERMAN- CARON. Proud great-grandfather of Asha FEIGELSON. Respected brother of the late Eric FEIGELSON, the late Mary COHEN and the late Sophie ZACK. Beloved uncle to Badanna ZACK, Paul (Rhona) FEIGELSON, Joan HORN. Abe had a long and successful career in the photographic industry as President of Anglophoto. He was loved and respected by all who worked with him. A renaissance man with a passion for the arts, he was also a talented sculptor and painter. He was well-known and appreciated for his unique and colourful sense of humour. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Doctor Paul Lysy and Doctor Sam Benaroya, the staff at Place Kensington (especially Sandra, Jean, Désirée, Blessing, Galit) and to Abe's caregivers (especially Gracie, Oriel, Patricia, Ann, Lucy, Vathana, Claudette, Hannah) for their excellent care. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, Montreal 3888 Jean Talon W. on Sunday January 7, 2007 at 2: 00 p.m. Burial at the Montreal Worker's Circle Cemetery, De La Savane. Shiva through Wednesday at Ruth's. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice.

Quietly surrounded by her family at Saint Thomas Elgin General Hospital -- Palliative Care on January 01, 2007, Alta M. BALL passed away at the age of 91 years. Predeceased by her loving husband R.C.. Loving mother to Marlene CARTER and her husband Ralph of Aylmer, Arthur BALL and his wife Rosemary of Aylmer. Beloved grandmother to Tammy McDONALD and her husband Bryan of Chelsea, Quebec, Carmon CARTER and his companion Pam MacDONALD of Saint Thomas, Stacey UNDERHILL- BALL of Saint Thomas, Sherry BALL and her companion Anthony AUSTIN of Quebec. Great-grandmother to Brianna McDONALD, Braedon McDONALD, Andrew MacDONALD, Daniel LYNCH, Caitlin AUSTIN, Tamera MILLER and her husband John, Jesseka BARBEAU, Cody UNDERHILL, Braydon UNDERHILL, Trevon BALL. Predeceased by her grand_son Kevin CARTER (1964,) her sisters Dorothy RAVIN, Helen CHILTON. Friends will be received at the Ostrander's Funeral Home, 43 Bidwell St. Tillsonburg (519 842-5221) on Friday, January 05, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 06, 2007 at 1: 00 p.m. at The Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Church, Townline Rd., Tillsonburg with President Mark GILLHAM officiating. Interment in the Guysborough Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Terrace Lodge Auxillary, Heart and Stroke Foundation and Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated. Died on June 4, 2007. She is sadly missed by cousins Norman, David, Ellen, Mitchell, Jane, Alexander, Ruby and Abraham, by her Uncle Lionel, Aunt Nan, Shelley BUTLER, Sara LEVINE, Ron HALL and family, Carolyn ROBINS and family, Kerry PEACOCK and family, Saul MARTIN and family, Harvey KOFSKY and family, Leon RAVVIN and family, and Ethel ABRAMSON and family. She was predeceased by her father, Eddy MARTIN and mother Annette (RAVVIN) MARTIN. Lynn was a lifelong Calgarian who took pleasure in her independent ways and love of kinship. She was resilient, funny and happiest when she found good company. Her memories of people she loved and knew well, like her Grandfather Israel RAVVIN, Granny Shifra RAVVIN, and her Uncle Albert RAVVIN, kept these people present for the rest of us. Donations can be made to the Cerebral Palsy Association in Alberta (403) 543-1161. Funeral was held on June 6 at the Jewish Cemetery, Erlton Street and 30 Avenue S.W.
