HOLLIS, Joyce
At the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Tuesday January 2nd, 2007 Mrs. Joyce HOLLIS of Chatham in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of the late Reginald HOLLIS (1985.) Loving mother of Brian and his wife Diane HOLLIS of London, and Cheryl PAWLAK and her husband Dave of Chatham. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Tanya, Wade, Jami, Kyle and Ryan. Dear sister of Ron MORGAN of Chatham, and dear sister-in-law of Margaret HALL of Chatham. Joyce was a member of Legion Branch #28 Ladies Auxiliary. Family and Friends are invited to the Alexander Funeral Home, 245 Wellington West, Chatham, 519-352-2710 on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service for Mrs. HOLLIS will be conducted from the chapel of the funeral home on Friday January 5th at 1: 00 p.m. Interment Maple Leaf Cemetery. Ladies Auxiliary Branch #28 and #628 Legion Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday evening at 6: 45 p.m. Friends planning an expression of remembrance are asked to consider the Lung Association and Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation. Of Delhi passed away at Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe Saturday, December 30, 2006 in his 54th year. Employee of VandenBussche Irrigation for 34 years. Beloved husband of Catherine VINNAI. Dear father of Jaclyn PAWLEY, Delhi. Loving son of John and Florence (JOHNSTONE) PAWLEY. Dear brother of Janice HANTZ (Rick), Delhi Brenda SOBRY (Darryl,) Oriel and David PAWLEY (Karen,) British Columbia. Son-in-law of Joseph VINNAI (Late Elizabeth (2003). Brother-in-law of Linda LAMMENS (Robert,) Delhi and Bernadette TISDALE (Ben,) Delhi and late Randy EVENS (1997) Uncle of 11 nieces and nephews. Resting at Murphy Funeral Home, Delhi for visitation on Monday from 2: 00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Tuesday at 10: 00 a.m. Interment Delhi Cemetery. Peacefully passed away at home in his sleep, Thursday, August 23, 2007. Loving husband of Alexandra, his devoted wife of 63 years. A person of gentle disposition, generous of spirit, beautiful mind, humble and deeply religious. A man who cherished and loved his family, Ukrainian heritage and Church. Predeceased by his loving brother Rt. Rev. Yaroslaw BENESH. A devout longtime member and one of the founders of Sobor Sw. Pokrowy Ukrainian Catholic Church and the Ukrainian Catholic Brotherhood of Canada. Born in Ukraine, he graduated from Architecture in Zagreb, Croatia and immigrated to Canada in 1952 with his young family. A creative architect and longtime employee of Cadillac-Fairview who worked on many Toronto projects including his beloved Church. Forever remembered in the hearts and prayers of his dear daughters Halyna and fiancé Daniel PAWLICK; Switlana and husband Doctor Wolodymyr MEDWIDSKY with grandchildren: Yaroslaw and wife Maritza, with great-granddaughter Alexandra; Tetiana and husband Jamie PARIS, with great-grand_sons Marco and Matey, Tamara, Yurij and fiancée Chrystia WYNNYCKYJ; nephew Doctor Roman SERBYN and wife Marika with family in the U.S.A. Also, fondly remembered by family and Friends in the U.S., Europe and Ukraine. Friends may call at the Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette Street (near Keele) on Saturday, August 25 and Sunday, August 26 from 6-9 p.m. with Panakhyda both evenings at 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 27 at the funeral home at 9: 30 a.m. then to the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Holy Protection (Leeds Street) for Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Prospect Cemetery.
