Early on Thanksgiving Monday, October 8th, 2007 beloved husband,
father, grandfather, and brother, Eugene
SAUVÉ, passed away peacefully
at home at the age of 79 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Eugene was surrounded by his family; his loving wife Joan (nee
BURNS) of 55 years, daughters Yolande

Michelle
HOPKINS,
Johanne
ENEMARK (Gary,) and sons Eugene (Karen) and
Gerard. Eugene was also a devoted grandfather to Oliver and Rachel,
Nicholas and Kevin, and Mathew and Jeffrey. He will be greatly
missed by all his children, including his eldest son, Eugene
who came from Prince Edward Island with his wife Karen, to be
by his father's side the week before he died. Born in Ottawa
the eldest of six siblings, Eugene leaves behind to mourn his
brothers Michel, Pierre, Bernard and Jacques, all residing in
Quebec, and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Following service
in the Royal Canadian Navy's Fleet Air Arm, Eugene began a successful
and diverse 40-year career in finance, retiring from RoyNat Ltd.
in 1993. Following retirement in Toronto, Eugene and Joan settled
in Parksville, British Columbia, where they made numerous Friends.
Eugene loved nothing more than being with his family or out playing
a round of golf. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 12th
at 10: 30 a.m. at Christ the Redeemer (Catholic) Church, 599 Keith
Road, West Vancouver, reception to follow. In lieu of flowers,
donations can be made in Eugene's memory to the Canadian Cancer
Society or Covenant House Vancouver. The family wishes to thank
the wonderful and caring doctors, Doctor Lobb, Doctor Lipowska and
Dr. Cummings, and nurses at Saint Paul's Hospital, Palliative Care
Unit, as well as the staff at the British Columbia Cancer Clinic.
The family also wishes to acknowledge the wonderful care given
to Eugene at home by the North Shore Home Care nurses, especially
Rhea and Linda. A man of immeasurable courage and love, Eugene
has left a gaping hole in all our hearts. We love you and you
will be forever missed. Until we see you again.

away peacefully at home in LaSalle, Ontario on July 14th, 2007.

FEAGAN).
He was blessed with 10 loving grandchildren Kyle, Carly, Austin,
Kurtis, Jack, Emily, John, Grace, William and Nicholas. Cousin
of James and Dorothy
FERGUSON and family of British Columbia,
as well as many extended family members. John had a life long
passion for his family as well as soccer, lacrosse, hockey and
horses. John earned respect in his professional hockey career
as a player with the Montreal Canadiens, winning five Stanley
Cups and as an executive with Team Canada '72, New York Rangers,
Winnipeg Jets, Ottawa Senators, and the past 11 years with the
San Jose Sharks. John bred, owned and raced thoroughbred and
standardbred horses throughout North America. He received many
honours and accolades in his professional career and within the
horse racing industry. At a very early age he demonstrated a
commitment to helping those less fortunate than he. He was a
generous man and was involved in many charitable organizations.
John was an avid golfer and a member of the St. Charles Country
Club of Winnipeg, and Essex Golf and Country Club, home to his
11th Annual John Ferguson Charity Golf Classic. Following cremation,
visitation will be held at Families First Funeral Home and Tribute
Centre, 1-800-510-9887, 3260 Dougall Ave., Windsor, Ontario on
Friday, July 20th from 4-8 p.m. Memorial Service will be held
at All Saints Anglican Church on Saturday, July 21st at 11: 00 a.m.

of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Montreal General
Hospital Cardiac Unit, Princess Margaret Hospital G.U. Unit in

he touched.
