It is with great sadness that we record the death of Charles
Walter STEACY on Saturday, January 6, 2007, at Victoria General
Hospital, age 81 years. Charles lived with Multiple Myeloma and
Parkinson's disease for eight years - he is now at peace. He
is survived by his wife, Marion, predeceased by his wife, Peggy.
Survived also by his children, Robert, Ken and Deb, daughters-in-law,
Nancy and Joan, grandchildren, Erin, Sean, Alex and Raymond,
brother, Harold, sisters-in-law, Mary (Ottawa) and Mary (Toronto),
step-daughters, Sandra and Marilyn
OWSTON.
Predeceased by his
infant sons, Douglas and David, his sisters, Mary and Winifred,
and his brothers, Richard and John. Youngest of six children
of the Reverend Richard and Elsie
STEACY,
Charles enlisted in
the Royal Canadian Air Force while in high school in Ottawa in
1943. He served from 1943-1945, and then re-enlisted in 1948 to
continue in a remarkable career with the Royal Canadian Air Force
until retirement in 1979. Funeral service will be held on Monday,
January 15, 2007, 2: 30 p.m. at Saint Michael and All Angels' Anglican
Church, 4733 West Saanich Rd., Victoria, British Columbia. (north
of Royal Oak Drive). If you wish, memorial donations to the Primate's
World Relief and Development Fund of the Anglican Church would
be greatly appreciated. (Primate's World Relief and Development
