HUNTER, Helen Jeanne (née MUTCHMOR)
Peacefully, at Saint_Joseph's Health Centre, Toronto, on Monday December 10, 2007, at the age of 79, with her family at her side. Beloved wife for 52 years of J. Reed HUNTER, Q.C. Loving mother of David (Toronto), Patricia (Montreal), Pamela (Ottawa) and partner, Nick FALL (Napanee.) Survived by her twin sister, Anne BOURCHIER (Bob) and her brother Jim MUTCHMOR (Barb) and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister, Mary PASSMORE and her parents, Helen Leone (née HOWE) and Reverend James Ralph MUTCHMOR, former Moderator of the United Church of Canada. Jeanne shall be remembered for her devotion to her family, her love of life, her sense of humour and her desire to help others. She enjoyed the arts, especially the ballet and time spent at the family cottage on Lake Huron. She was a proud member of the "Nifty Fifties" graduating class of 1950 at Wellesley Hospital's School of Nursing. A special thank you to the nurses and doctors on the 4th floor east at Saint_Joseph's Health Centre for providing such attentive care. Friends and family may call at the Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. West, at Windermere Avenue, (east of the Jane subway station), Toronto on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Islington United Church, 25 Burnhamthorpe Road (north of Dundas St. W.) on Thursday, December 13, 2007, at 11: 00 a.m. Flowers, or donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.

MacKECHNIE, Janet Victoria (née KEFFER)
Died peacefully after a courageous fight against lung cancer, on December 29th, 2006 at her home in Toronto, Ontario in her 67th year. Cherished mother of Kathryn, Dan and Sandra. Mother-in-law of Jennifer MacKECHNIE and Ettienne DU PREEZ. Dear sister of Jim KEFFER and sister, best friend and soul mate of Louise FERRIMAN. Dedicated, loving and world champion grandmother to Daniel and Mary MUTER, Liam, Peter and Declan DU PREEZ and Katie and Caroline MacKECHNIE. Sister-in-law of Jack FERRIMAN, Anne KEFFER and Mary WILSON. Aunt to Kathleen, Mary Jane, Nancy, David, John, Carla and Ben. Life-long friend of Nancy LACKNER; incredible and beloved friend of so many more who shared her life from her days at Victoria College, summers at Belmont Lake, through a proud professional career in accounting and consulting. With fondest thoughts to Adam, Faye and Marie, the Ellicottville Gals, the Hermosa Beach poker crowd, Doctor Peter SATOK, Doctor Ronald BURKES, the 11th Floor oncology unit at Mount Sinai. A non-smoker for more than 30 years, Janet's dying wish is for more attention to be paid to this terrible disease which claims so many lives. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 3rd at 1: 00 p.m. at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 2737 Bayview Avenue, Toronto (just south of 401). Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (Lung Cancer Research).

Of Hanover, passed away at South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton on Tuesday, December 4, 2007. He was 71. Survived by wife Marilynn (HOPP) MUTH, son David (Joanne) MUTH of Port Elgin, daughters Marianne MUTH of Hanover, Susan (David) GOODWIN of Fort McMurray, Alberta, grandchildren Chelsey, Taylor and Desiree. Also survived by brothers Jorgen, Alfred, Franz-Josef, sisters Eleanor and Annimee all of Germany. Visitation at Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover, on Friday 7-9 p.m. A memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 1: 00 p.m., at Revealed Word Tabernacle, Allan Park.
