NORRIS, Carl Edward
Peacefully on Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at Groves Memorial Hospital Fergus. Carl NORRIS in his 82nd year of Alma. Beloved husband of the late Betty (FENTON) NORRIS (1999.) Dear father of Dale and Cathy NORRIS of Alma, Beth NORRIS of Waterloo, Lois NORRIS and Len VANWONDEREN of Kitchener, Merna NORRIS and Ed HALL of Owen Sound. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Eric, Cole and Drake. Predeceased by his parents Herbert and Nettie (GEISEL) NORRIS. Carl enjoyed the many years spent with business associates at Teviotdale Farm Supply. He is fondly remembered by his family and Friends in the community. The family will receive their Friends and relatives at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, Elmira on Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon on Sunday, November 18th, transfer will be made to the Alma United Church for funeral service at 2: 00 p.m. with Rev. Marion LOREE officiating. A family interment will take place in the Elora Cemetery. In his memory, donation to Alma United Church or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family as expressions of sympathy.

Suddenly as the result of an accident on Tuesday, June 12th, 2007 at the age of 21 years, Matthew MORRIS of R.R.#2, Tara. Beloved son of George MORRIS of Tara and Elizabeth and Al MOONEY of Southampton. Brother of Megan MORRIS and Ben BRUDER of Walkerton, and Laura MORRIS of Southampton. Stepbrother of Peggy and Paul FLEMING/FLEMMING, and Kelly MOONEY and Chris COUTURE, all of Kitchener. Loved grand_son of John and Karen REYNOLDS of Port Elgin. Uncle to Braeden. Special friend of Melissa LORENZ, Josh SPENCER, Samantha CAUDLE, and Christopher SPENCER. Left to mourn are many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his grandparents Neil and Flo MORRIS. Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin (Town of Saugeen Shores) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 14th. A funeral service will be conducted in the Port Elgin United Church, 840 Bruce Street, Port Elgin, on Friday at 11: 00 a.m. with the Rev. Robert GATES officiating. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara. Peacefully at his home on Wednesday, July 25th, 2007, Charles Findlay "Billy" LLOYD, of R.R.#4, Picton, at the age of 75. Dear husband of Betty. Loved father of Grant of Picton, Sue, Janet, and Brian, all of Toronto. Dear brother of Jean LORIMER and her husband Hal of Brockville and the late Doris BRADLEY. MEEK, Queena Anne (formerly POCOCK, née WILSON)
Peacefully, in Toronto, on September 17, 2007, after a long life. Queena was born on December 12, 1909, the younger daughter of the late Alice (née BRADLEY) and Joseph WILSON. She is pre-deceased by her sister Eva (Alfred;) and her late husbands Clarence POCOCK and Haldon MEEK. Queena is survived by her nephew, Doctor Ronald FOOTE, and his wife Sybil, as well as their children, spouses and five great-grand nieces and nephews: Andrew and Lori FOOTE and their sons Eric and Adam; Victoria FOOTE and John LORINC and their sons Jacob and Sammy; and Trevor FOOTE and Robin KING, and their daughter Corrie. Queena worked for many years as a secretary in the accounting firm of Clarkson Gordon. In her spare time, she enjoyed tennis, travelling and bridge. She was also blessed with a wry sense of humour, a warm smile and an abundance of common sense. Queena's family would like to extend its gratitude to Miriam Deschamps and Juliette Delpesph for all the compassion and generosity they've provided Queena in the past several years. Private funeral arrangements have been made.

HAYES, Ruth " Marion"
Ruth "Marion" HAYES, of R.R.#1 Elmwood, passed away at Hanover and District Hospital on Monday, November 12, 2007. She was 83.
Born in Toronto, daughter of the late Albert and Florence (nee HICK) HAYES.
Survived by her cousins Betty WATSON of R.R.#1 Elmwood and Agnes MARSHMAN of Durham, nephews Hugh MacMILLAN of Toronto, John (Mary) HAYES of Toronto and Mark (Jan) HAYES of Newmarket and niece Nancy (LORNE) WHITTAKER of Chesley. Predeceased by her sister Dorothy MacMILLAN and brother Allen HAYES.
A Memorial service to follow at a later date.

Loving mother of Doctor James CULNAN (Pamela), Michael (Jocelyn), Patty (Nick KANTOR), Marie CASSELBERRY, Anne, Georgette (David BIGELOW) and Thérèse. Cherished grandmother of Charlie (Barbara,) Jeremy (Tracy), David, Michael, Amanda, George, Michelle, Veronica, Andrew and great-grandmother of Tyler, Jaxon, Dylan and Holly. Loving sister of Sr. Jeanne Marie LORTIE, Anna McKANE, Doctor Paul LORTIE and the late Jean MORRISSEY.
