Suddenly at the North Bay General Hospital on Thursday September 13, 2007 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of William of Tara. Dear mother of Mark and Renate of Tara and Merren of Kitchener. Loving Nana to Angela, Steven (Cathy), Dana (Jon), Mark Jr. (Julie), and Kelly (Rene). Great Nana to Britney, T.J., Payton and Evan. Dear sister of Clifford SWEEZEY of Pembroke, Dreana LEATHERDALE and Dehlia FINCHEN, both of North Bay. Predeceased by sister Ruth LOMAS. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews as well as all her Friends she played bridge with. Georgia had a special place in her heart for Special Needs Children and Seniors with whom she volunteered regularly. Friends may call at Paul H. Eagleson Funeral Home in Tara on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, September 17, 2007 at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow. BABOI, Elizabeth
Peacefully, passed away at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital in Kitchener on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 in her 81st year. Dear mother of the late Helen LOWES (2006) and John BABOI of Cambridge. Predeceased by her cousin Nicolae CAVACHI. Grandmother of Heidi ELLIOT/ELLIOTT and her husband Martin of Waterloo. Survived by her dear Friends Nancy and Eric LOMAX of St. George, Maria SCICIU and Ileana JOICI, both of Toronto. Elizabeth owned Cambridge Restaurant, was a partner with her former husband in Baboi Real Estate and was in charge of the Bridal Department at Bramer's in Toronto for many years. Elizabeth was a resident at the Hellenic Home for The Aged in Toronto for 15 years. Private funeral services will be held at Prospect Cemetery, Toronto. Dear mother and mother-in-law of Janet and Paul HENNICK, Lynda and Joe LOMBARDO, and the late Harlan ROSENTHAL and Rise GOODE. Proud Nanny to Jennifer, Kimberley, Alexander, Joey, Lawrence, Lesley, Stacey, and Sean. Great-grandmother to Halle and Mackenzie. A graveside service was held at the Holy Blossom Memorial Park on Sunday, September 16th, 2007.

LOMMERSE, Ira (Born Iraida SCHNATZE) (1924-2007)
Born of Russian and Baltic German ancestry in Riga, Latvia, Ira went on her final journey surrounded by her children on August 28th in Victoria, British Columbia. Predeceased by her adoring husband Doctor Petrus LOMMERSE. She is loved and will be greatly missed by her children, Christopher, Marina, Ian, Julie and their families. As well as her brother Ernst and sisters Barbara and Leonora. Her character carries through her grandchildren Petrus, Zo and Maximilian. Her charismatic life-force, grounded manner, generosity and life stories fascinated and endeared her to many. Ira's nursing/midwifery career spanned from Berlin during the dark war years, post-war displaced persons camps in Germany, midwifery in Britain, tropical medicine in East Africa, and running the clinic in Dunrea, Manitoba. She spent many years nursing the elderly in Killarney, Manitoba before their retirement to the Victoria area.
