BUSEY, Gary Winston
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gary BUSEY, on Saturday August 18th, 2007, with his family at his side. Loving father of Jason BUSEY and his wife Tammy of Owen Sound, Dennis BUSEY and his fiancée Christina LETENDRE of Owen Sound. Beloved brother of Shirley BARFOOT and friend John TILSON of Owen Sound, Sheldon BUSEY and his wife Frankie of Vancouver. Predeceased by his parents Emerson and Katie (née STEIP) BUSEY, his sister Mary Elizabeth BUSEY, and his brother Ed BUSEY. Also sadly missed by 3 grandchildren Kayla, Brooke, and Mitchell. Gary will also be missed by his many close Friends. Gary was well known for his humour, friendliness, and positive outlook, and enjoyed the company of his Friends and family. He had a life long interest in antique cars and his Studebaker. In his younger days, Gary worked on the Van Dolder snowmobile team, and was a loyal worker at Van Wycks for many years. Friends are invited to the Tannahill Funeral Home for visiting on Tuesday, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Garys life will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, August 22, at 11 o'clock with Pastor Brian JASPER officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

In Saint-Eustache, on September 24, 2007. Died at the age of 65. Mrs. Francine RITCHOTTE, partner of Mr. Pierre VENNE. Resident at Oke, formerly Laval. Mrs. RITCHOTTE will be resting at the Funeral Home Yves Houle, 130 Lindsay St, Drummondville, tel: 1-819-478-0222. Visitation on Friday, September 28 from 5 p.m. and 7-10 p.m. Saturday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. The funeral will take place on Saturday in the Church Saint-Pierre and Paul to Drummondville and from there to the Yves Houle Crematorium. Mrs. RITCHOTTE leaves in mourning her partner M. Pierre VENNE, her daughter Pascale LEBLANC (Robert GILLELAN,) her granddaughter Vianne, the son of Pierre Venne Pascal Racine VENNE, her sisters Mireille RITCHOTTE, Colette RITCHOTTE (Francois BONIN,) her goddaughter Marjolaine LETENDRE, her godson Olivyer BONIN, her aunts, uncles and the LeBlanc family, her nephews, cousins, and many parents and Friends. Suddenly as a result of an accident on Monday morning, December 3rd, 2007. Vanessa Olivia MEIER of Desboro, in her 33rd year. Loving and devoted mother of Tyler MEIER at home. Precious daughter of Rudy MEIER, of Annan and Gisa MEIER, of Owen Sound. Dear sister of Jason (Karen) MEIER, of Oakville and Loni LETOURNEAU- MEIER, of Annan. Vanessa will be sadly missed by her best friend, Leeann HUNTER and her son, Robert HUNTER. Friends may call at the Brian E. Passed away peacefully at Versa Care Windsor Place on December 29, 2006 at the age of 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Sidney. Dear mother of Peter FOREHT and wife Cathy of Toronto; and Chris and husband Doctor Dave FISHER, of Windsor. Dear Grandmother of Lenny and wife Jill; Celine and companion Jason; Sarah; Paula and companion Hans, and Dan and wife Sarah. Dear sister of Edith PONGRATZ and her late husband Tony; Helen LETT and her late husband Jim; Agnes and husband Joel ALDRED, and the late Marion NICOL and her late husband Don. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Marjorie served during World War 2 with the Canadian Forces in London, Ontario and later worked for many years at both Loblaws and Eatons. The family would like to thank the caring and compassionate staff at both Versa Care Windsor Place and Oak Park Terrace. Margie was a loving mother, and will be dearly missed. HAMMOND, Sydney "Ab"
Of Port Stanley, on Monday, January 1, 2007, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, peacefully, in his 86th year. Dearly loved husband of 61 years of Mary HAMMOND and loved father of Bruce and his wife Ruth Ann, Scott and his wife Anne and Dean HAMMOND. Dear father-in-law of Ann BELL of London. Dear brother of Ross and his wife Susan HAMMOND of California. Predeceased by a brother Ralph and two sisters Julia and Marjorie and by two brothers Wilson and Clifford HAMMOND killed as pilots during World War 2. Sadly missed by 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a grand_son Andrew HAMMOND. Ab was born in Montreal on July 19, 1921, the son of the late Henry James and Nellie (LETTS) HAMMOND. He was well respected in business for many years in Saint Thomas where he owned and operated Jennings Furniture. He served as a fighter pilot in the Air Force during World War 2 with the Night Intruder Squadron flying Mosquitos over Germany. After the war he was Squadron Leader of the Snowy Owl Squadron for ten years at Crumlin. Ab was a member of the Saint Thomas Curling Club and a member of the Saint Thomas Golf and Country Club over 50 years. He was a former member of the Saint Thomas Kiwanis Club and a member of the Golden "K" Kiwanis Club and was a of member of the Port Stanley Legion Branch 410 over 61 years. Ab was a member of the Saint Thomas Masonic Lodge #44 Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons He had a great respect for all people and loved and respected nature and the outdoors. He treasured Friends and Friendship. A public service to celebrate Ab's life will be held on Saturday, January 6th at 1: 00 p.m. at First United Church, 7 Curtis Street, Saint Thomas. Cremation has taken place. Flowers gratefully declined. Remembrances may be made to Children's Hospital of Western Ontario or the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital (Palliative Care Unit.)
