On Tuesday, November 13, 2007. Loving wife of the late William Charles. Will be missed by her children Charles (Gail) and Carolyn LAZAR (Jerry.) Loving Nana of Christy, Katie, Chas, and Mandie. Friends may call at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Av. W., (2 stoplights west of Yonge St.) on Friday from 7-9 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service in the chapel at 10 a.m. Interment, Mount Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Tri-Area Medical Centre Building Fund, Municipality of Centre Hastings, 11379 Highway 62, R.R.#5, Madoc, Ontario K0K 2K0 would be appreciated.

MIRVISH, Robert Franklin
Author, playwright, producer and U.S. Merchant Marine radio officer passed away on June 24, 2007, at age 86, after a brief battle with cancer. Beloved husband of 44 years to Lucille, father to Anthony and John, and grandfather of Benjamin, James, Matthew and Catherine. Brother of Edwin 'Honest Ed' MIRVISH and Lorraine LAZARUS. son of David MIRVISH and Anna KORNHAUSER. Born in 1921, in Washington, D.C., he sailed in the U.S. Merchant Marine during and after World War 2 and published more than 14 novels in 150 separate editions and a dozen languages, including: A House of Her Own (1953), The Eternal Voyagers (1953), Texana (1954), The Long Watch (1954), Red Sky At Midnight (1955), Woman in a Room (1959), Two Women, Two Worlds (1960), Dust on the Sea (1960), Point of Impact (1961), Cleared Narvik 2000 (1962), The Last Capitalist (1963), Business is People (1963), There You Are But Where Are You?
