Marie was born on June 9th, 1915
in Port of Spain, Trinidad. She was the second of five children
(all of whom have predeceased her) of Manuelita
GRANSAULL and
William Arthur
MURRAY, the industrialist. After receiving her
schooling in London, England, she came to Montreal in her early
twenties. Later she met and in 1943, married Ed with whom she
shared her life for 64 years. Together, they raised their family
of four children in the Town of Mount Royal, where they were
active in the community and in the Annunciation of Our Lady Parish.
They had spent their latter years in Georgeville, Quebec, on
Lake Memphremagog and recently at Place Kensington in Westmount,
Quebec. Marie was dedicated to her family, was an amateur artist,
an enthusiastic tennis player, a passionate nutritionist, and
an ardent student of life. She will be greatly missed by all
her loved ones and long remembered for her generous heart, energy
and original thinking. The family will hold a private celebration
of her life at the Centre funéraire Côte-des-Neiges, on Saturday
December 15, 2007 at 11 a.m. Your prayers are appreciated.

grandmother to John Joseph, Andrew James, Madeleine Adams and
namesake Marci Rose. Survived by her sister Beverly and her husband
Zoltan, as well as sister Bonnie; as well as many nieces and
nephews. Predeceased by her father Cecil, step-father Myron (Mike)
and mother Gerda and as well as brother Terry. In her youth,
Marcia was a scholar and an athlete, and loved to dance and figure
skate. After a career as an artisan, as an entrepreneur and finally
in the energy industry, Marcia dedicated her life to service
in various forms. She devoted time in her life to community theatre,
local historical societies, served as a little league baseball
coach, and was a stalwart life member of the Imperial Order of
the Daughters of the Empire. Marcia served in national, provincial
and municipal leadership positions for the Imperial Order of
the Daughters of the Empire, most recently founding the newest
chapter. Marcia was kind and caring to all she knew, and wanted
ever to make other people comfortable and supported. Many called
her Mom, and mourn her passing. Those wishing to pay their respects
