Died on June 15, 2007, in Toronto. Born in Emyvale, County Tyrone, on September 30, 1932. Rooted in Dungloe and Ranafast, County Donegal. Educated in Athlone, County Westmeath. Adventurer in Scotland, Wales, and England. Settler in Canada. Mourned by his wife, Maureen; by his children, Greg (Mary), Mary, Tom (Siobhán), and Fionnuala (Philippe); by his grandchildren, Katherine, Michael, and Stephen DONAGHY; Monica, Brigid, and Naomi TROTT (and their father, Murray;) Liam and Hannah DONAGHY; Anne-Mairéad and Colin LAFAURY; by his brothers Páid (June,) Colm, Greg (Marcella) and sister-in-law Jane, and their families. Predeceased by his parents, Owen and Brigid, and his brother Tony. Will be missed by relatives and Friends in many countries. Visitation Tuesday, June 19 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral Mass on Wednesday, June 20 at 10 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor, 75 Churchill Avenue. LAFLEUR, Celia Frances (née CANTLIE)
Died peacefully on September 11th, after a brief illness. Born in 1913, she was the youngest and last surviving child of Col. George S. CANTLIE, original commanding officer of the 42nd Battalion of the Black Watch, and Beatrice Mary CAMPBELL of Québec City. She is survived by her children Deirdre STEVENSON, Cynthia BAXTER, Eric MOLSON and Stephen MOLSON, son-in-law Robert (Bob) STEVENSON and daughters-in-law Jane MOLSON and Nancy MOLSON; by grandchildren Eric and David STEVENSON, Colin, Brian and James BAXTER, Andrew, Justin and Geoffrey MOLSON; and by sixteen great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Henri Grier (Laffie) LAFLEUR and will be greatly missed by her stepsons Henri and Anthony, their wives Anne and Sarah, and their children Sophie and Marc, and Sean and Heather, as well as their five grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by her "refugee child", Adrian van Millingen, and by many nephews, nieces and cousins, for whom she was the family matriarch and genealogist, and the keeper of the family memory. There will be a service of celebration of her life on her birthdate, Saturday, September 22nd at 12: 00 noon at the Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul, 3415 Redpath Street, Montréal. The families extend their heartfelt thanks to doctors Paul Lysy and Doug Kinnear and to caregivers Eiblis, Jane, Charity and Primi. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montreal General Hospital Foundation.

At Cassellholme Home for the Aged, Saturday, September 15, 2007. Marie RACICOT beloved wife of the late Charles CONNOR and Cecile RYAN in her 87th year. Loved sister of Dolores LAFONTAINE and Sr. Celina RACICOT. Predeceased by her parents Malvina and Aime RACICOT, two sisters Eleanor PETRIC, Elizabeth BEAUDRY and a brother Joseph RACICOT. Lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews. No visitation. Cremation. Peacefully, at Toronto East General Hospital, on Thursday, August 9, 2007. Evelyn, in her 100th year, beloved wife of the late Kenneth WATSON, O.B.E. Dear sister of the late Helen MEIN, Milly GALLAGHER, Kay LAFONTAINE and Dorothy GALLAGHER. Loving aunt of Pat, Sharon and Donna. She will be remembered by her many great-nieces and nephews and their children. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East) from 12 noon until the service in the chapel on Monday, August 13 at one o'clock. In loving memory of Charles John LANGEL, " Easy Does It Charlie." Veteran of WW2.
Died Tuesday, December 26, 2006 at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current at the age of 69. Loving husband of Wilma LANGEL of Little Current. Dear father of Mike of Welland, Neil and Christopher LANGEL. Dear grandfather of John and Ashley. Will also be missed by five step- children Debra, Carolyn (KEANS,) Sandra, Reg and Paula LAFORME, all of Hamilton. Twenty step-grandchildren and fifteen step-great grandchildren. Predeceased by his parents John and Rose LANGEL, his brother Robert, nephew Robert and step-son Robert LAFORME. Charlie was a long time friend of Bill W. and Doctor Bob and he helped in their cause. At his request, Charlie was cremated. There was a memorial service at Island Funeral Home on Saturday, December 30, 2006 at 2 pm. Burial of ashes in Welland.

WARD, M. Grace (née STRANGE)
Peacefully in her home surrounded by the love and support from family and her Royal Gardens Friends, on October 9, 2007 in her 91st year. Grace was an elegant, sophisticated woman who lived a full and interesting life that took her to many different parts of the world. She was equally at home at a black tie gala affair or at a casual brunch with her bridge Friends. In her later years she took increasing interest in her grandchildren and children, and great enjoyment in hearing of, and even sponsoring, their many pursuits. For 47 years, Grace was the beloved wife of Walter (deceased.) She was the loving mother of Nancy WARD (Eric,) Susan FORGET (Gary), Janet LAFORTUNE (Yves) and the late Doctor John WARD. Grace was immensely proud of her grandchildren Lindsay and Jean Paul FORGET, and Max LAFORTUNE. She had tremendous affection for her niece and goddaughter Kim, niece Barb and nephew Michael. She was predeceased by her brothers Frank and Cy STRANGE. Grace was so thankful for all the loving support she received from the caring staff at Royal Gardens. Special thanks to the wonderful Dr. ARMOUR and to her hospice angels, Ivy and Meredith. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2007 from 1: 00-2:30 p.m., followed by a service in the chapel at Comstock Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Peterborough would be appreciated by the family.
