on September 30, 1932. Rooted in Dungloe and Ranafast, County
Donegal. Educated in Athlone, County Westmeath. Adventurer in
Scotland, Wales, and England. Settler in Canada. Mourned by his
wife, Maureen; by his children, Greg (Mary), Mary, Tom (Siobhán),
and Fionnuala (Philippe); by his grandchildren, Katherine, Michael,
and Stephen

2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street
(at Goulding, south of Steeles). Funeral Mass on Wednesday, June 20
at 10 a.m. at St. Edward the Confessor, 75 Churchill Avenue.

in 1913, she was the youngest and last surviving child of Col.
George S. CANTLIE, original commanding officer of the 42nd Battalion
of the Black Watch, and Beatrice Mary
CAMPBELL of Québec City.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Henri Grier (Laffie)
LAFLEUR and will be greatly missed by her stepsons Henri and
Anthony, their wives Anne and Sarah, and their children Sophie
and Marc, and Sean and Heather, as well as their five grandchildren.
She will be fondly remembered by her "refugee child", Adrian
van Millingen, and by many nephews, nieces and cousins, for whom
she was the family matriarch and genealogist, and the keeper
of the family memory. There will be a service of celebration
of her life on her birthdate, Saturday, September 22nd at 12: 00
noon at the Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul, 3415 Redpath Street,
Montréal. The families extend their heartfelt thanks to doctors
Paul Lysy and Doug Kinnear and to caregivers Eiblis, Jane, Charity
and Primi. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Montreal
General Hospital Foundation.

STRANGE)
Peacefully in her home surrounded by the love and support from
family and her Royal Gardens Friends, on October 9, 2007 in her
91st year. Grace was an elegant, sophisticated woman who lived
a full and interesting life that took her to many different parts
of the world. She was equally at home at a black tie gala affair
or at a casual brunch with her bridge Friends. In her later years
she took increasing interest in her grandchildren and children,
and great enjoyment in hearing of, and even sponsoring, their
many pursuits. For 47 years, Grace was the beloved wife of Walter
(deceased.) She was the loving mother of Nancy

Grace was immensely proud of her grandchildren Lindsay and Jean

She was predeceased by her brothers Frank and
Cy STRANGE.
Grace
was so thankful for all the loving support she received from
the caring staff at Royal Gardens. Special thanks to the wonderful
Dr. ARMOUR and to her hospice angels, Ivy and Meredith. Visitation
will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2007 from 1: 00-2:30 p.m.,
followed by a service in the chapel at Comstock Funeral Home and
Cremation Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough. In lieu of
flowers, donations to Hospice Peterborough would be appreciated
by the family.
