It has come to our attention that an interesting seventy-five year old, Kittie Macauley THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON has died on September 28, 2007. An American by birth inclination and education, she nevertheless chose to live in Canada for the last thirty-three years where she pursued a modest egocentric lifestyle. She is survived by two loving daughters, Estelle Tomson WILSON (Robert WILSON, IV) and Alexandra THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON (Dr. Lider KO) and her grandchildren, Robert WILSON, V, Hunter THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON- KO and Alistair THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON- KO. A Memorial Service will be held at the Chapel of Saint_James-the-Less, 635 Parliament Street, Toronto (south of Bloor Street) on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at 11 a.m. A service and interment will be held in Detroit, Michigan at a later date.

At South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Walkerton, on Saturday, June 23rd, 2007 at the age of 82 years, Lloyd JOHNSTON, of Paisley. Husband of the former Jean PEARSON for fifty seven years. Father of David and his wife Alison of Stratford, Douglas of Teeswater, and Murray and his wife Lori of Tara. Papa of Stephanie and her husband Matt KOCH, Melissa and Chris of Stratford, Alan, Carla and Pieter of Teeswater. Brother of Rella McTEER of London, and William and his wife Lois of Paisley. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sisters Grace WINCH and Evelyn JAMES. Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Paisley Chapel, 216 Queen St. South, Paisley from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, June 25th, 2007. Funeral service to be conducted in the Church of the Ascension, Paisley on Tuesday, June 26th, 2007 at 1: 00 p.m. with the Rev. Linda NIXON officiating. Interment Douglas Hill Cemetery. (April 17th 1939, to December 26th, 2006)
Daughter of the late Jean Wagner GREER/GRIER, R.N. and Clifton W. GREER/GRIER, M.A., and her husband Gerhardt. Passed away at Belleville General Hospital. She is survived by eight children Clifton, Lorne, Linda, Francie, Rima, Samuel, Jack and Charles, and nine grandchildren her sister Jolyn GRIEVE, Belleville, and Norah HISCOCK. Eaganville, both artists. Pat's business Koch Signs encompassed all surrounding counties. Her accomplished paintings in varied mediums are of primary aclaim. Teachers were her father, noted Toronto art instructor, the staff at Central Technical Art School and the Ontario College of Art and Design, Carl SCHAFER and Donald FRASER at Mary Schneider Art School, Actinote, Ontario. Pat lived in a log cabin on her own private lake (Rainbow Lake) near Tweed for over 30 years, where she painted. Funeral Service January 5th, a 2 p.m., at McConnell Funeral Home, 137 Colborne St. Tweed, followed by a reception, at nearby Trudeau Park. Cremation. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery Toronto. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

'Fran' was born December 5, 1940 in Flin Flon, Manitoba, a daughter to Ruth (ne ERICKSON) and Alfred KOCH and sister to Elfreyda and her husband Alex MORRICE of Brooks, Alberta.
Fran passed away peacefully and in the company of her family on Friday, June 15, 2007, in Meaford, Ontario in her 67th year.
She was the dear and beloved mother of David and his wife Deneen of Loretto, Ontario, Erin and her husband Darrell DENNIS of Clarksburg, Ontario, Paige of Christie Beach, Ontario and Drew and his wife Megan of Guelph, Ontario.
She will be the fondly missed Nana of her grandchildren Maxwell, Madelaine, Benjamin, Ava, Cole and Naomi.
A private family service, officiated by Reverend Doctor Brian GOODINGS, was conducted on Monday, June 18, 2007 at the Ferguson Funeral Home in Meaford with cremation following.
Deepest appreciation for donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.

It is with profound sadness that the children of Evelyn SPIVAK announce her passing on December 13, 2007, in her 88th year beloved wife of the late William (Stoney) SPIVAK, cherished mother of Brian (Aline,) Sonya KOCH (Peter) and Nancy JARNICK (Stephen,) adoring Nana to Gillian FENSKE (Tom,) Charles and William, loving Aunty Evelyn to many nieces and nephews. Our Mother died peacefully with the same grace and dignity that she lived her life. Thank you to Doctor ZAYID and the staff at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital. Heartfelt thanks go out to each and every one who has helped in every way over the past few weeks, also the messages of sympathy and food brought to our home. To Ken HARRISON for his memories, and for singing Falling Leaves accompanied by Ken LYTLE, and Murray IRWIN and Audrey DOWLING singing Railroad to Heaven. To Rev. Mark DAVIDSON for his comforting words over the past few months and at the celebration of Chuck's life. These things all help make Chuck's passing much easier. Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of family, on Friday July 20th, 2007, in his 74th year, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. The loving husband of Elsie (Elizabeth MOORE) for 53 years. Beloved father of Helen KOCMAREK (Bill,) Brian (Kathleen), Kevin (Milly), Anne STRUTHERS (Peter), and Joan MUNRO (Robert.) Proud grandfather of Andrea, Daniel, Michael, and Katie KOCMAREK, Erin and Peter THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON, Turner and Taylor THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON, Jamie, Matthew, and Collin STRUTHERS, and Kendra, Kristin, and Jenna MUNRO. Peter is survived by his two sisters, Anne UNDERWOOD (Norman,) of Edmonton, Alberta and Nancy DOUGLAS/DOUGLASS (Lynn,) of Linwood, Scotland. Peter will be sadly missed by his brothers-in-law, Tom (Betty,) Jim (Donna,) Ian (Joanne) and Nigel (Cathy) MOORE and will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Peter was born in the village of Linwood, Scotland on August 12th, 1933, to Alexander and Agnes THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON. Peter was a master carpenter and a talented builder and inventor who enjoyed a life long pursuit of adventures and new experiences. This thirst for adventure led Peter to immigrate to Canada in 1954 where he settled in Kitchener, Ontario and became a proud Canadian. Peter moved to Ayton, Ontario in 1975 to enjoy the new challenges of life as a farmer. In 2003, Peter retired from farming and carpentry and moved to Owen Sound, Ontario where he took up sailing with the same passion that he applied to his many other interests and hobbies. Peter was driven to build things and leaves behind a legacy of hundreds of projects but his greatest legacy was his 5 children and 14 grandchildren. Friends may call at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 -- 14th Street, Owen Sound, Ontario, on Tuesday, July 24th from 7: 00-9:00 p.m. A Celebration of Peter's life will be held at the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 25, 2007 at 11: 00 a.m. with Rev. Ted CREEN officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. Peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, January 3, 2007. Marjorie Ursula REINHART (ne BROWN) of Victoria Rest Home, Woodstock, and formerly of Nova Scotia Court, Woodstock, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Andrew REINHART (2001.) Loved daughter of the late Harold and Vera BROWN of Woodstock. Dear mother of Charlotte McINTOSH (Graeme) of Thamesford and Douglas (Cathy) of Woodstock. Loved grandmother of Jordan and Quinn. Dear sister of the late Donald BROWN. Loved sister-in-law of Audrey BROWN of Woodstock, Dorothy WOLFCALE (Delbert) of Youngstown, Ohio, Ieleen GULLIFORD (Gordon) of Edmonton, Betty HAY (Gerry) of Winnipeg, and Emery REINHART (Rita) of Sebring, Florida. Dear aunt of several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mervin and Ina REINHART. Marjorie was devoted to her husband and family and spent 35 years supporting Gordon in the family business, Hyde's Pharmacy. In her retirement years, she volunteered at Family and Children's Services and pursued her passion for travel. As a lifelong member of Dundas Street United Church, she fulfilled many duties, the most notable being her long service in the church choir, the United Church Women (Friendship Circle) and her contribution to the annual church bazaar. She was a life member of the Gideon International Auxiliary. In recent years, with great dignity, courage and humour she managed the ravages of Pick's Disease. The family extends its heartfelt thanks to the staff and residents of Victoria Rest Home, Doctor KOCSIS and Doctor DOMINICONE for their constant love and care of Marjorie. Friends will be received at the R.D. Longworth Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Avenue, Woodstock (519-539-0004), Friday, January 5, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The celebration of Marjorie's life will be held at Dundas Street United Church on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 11: 00 a.m. with Rev. Glen MacPHERSON and Pam WILCOX officiating. Following cremation, interment will take place at a later in the Hillview Cemetery.
