MILLER, Blema (née COOPER)
In her 97th year on Sunday, September 16, 2007. Blema MILLER, dear wife of the late Abe MILLER. Cherished mother and mother-in-law of Jack and Mary Jane MILLER, and Bob and the late Hélène KENIGSBERG. Remembered fondly by her grandchildren Alan and Shawna, Dan and Paula, Michael and as a loving great-grandmother to Abigail, Ivy and Hunter. Dear sister of the late Yetta INSKY, Fay HYMAN, and Sydney COOPER. Born in Montreal December 15, 1910 to Asher and Annie COOPER, Blema was a pioneer, the first Jewish High School teacher in Montreal. She and Abe led very active lives in Cornwall, both within the Beth El Synagogue and in the larger community. After Abe's death she moved back to Montreal. A born teacher, she taught mathematics until she retired, then tutored high school students into her mid 80's. A fine bridge player and willing volunteer of her time and talents, she had a wide circle of Friends in Montreal and Toronto, and latterly the residents and staff at the Balmoral Club as well as a very special group of caregivers. She will be sorely missed by many people. At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West (3 lights west of Dufferin), for service on Monday, September 17, 2007 at 1: 00 p.m. Interment Beth Sholom Synagogue Section of Mount Sinai Memorial Park. Shiva 45 Shallmar Boulevard, after 2: 00 p.m. daily, evening service on Monday and Tuesday at 7: 30 p.m.: Thursday at 4 South Drive, St. Catharines, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., evening service at 8: 00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the PKD Society of Canada c/o the Blema Miller Memorial Fund c/o The Benjamin Foundation, 3429 Bathurst Street, Toronto, M6A 2C3, 416-780-0324, www.benjamins.ca.

TEMPLE, Marion (née CARROLL)
Of Extendicare, Port Stanley, formerly of Saint Thomas, passed away at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, January 6, 2007, in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late Oscar TEMPLE (1992.) Dearly loved mother of Shirley FUGARD of Kincardine, Mary INSLEY and her husband William of London, Robert TEMPLE and his wife Carol of R.R.#1, Saint Thomas, Murray TEMPLE of California, and the late Harold TEMPLE (his wife Colleen of Saint Thomas.) Dear sister of Dorothy McNEA of Saint Thomas, Harold CARROLL and his wife Marg of R.R.#5, Saint Thomas, late Margaret CARROLL and late Jim CARROLL. Also survived by 18 grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a great-grand_son, Mitchell Temple MEDHURST. Born in Middlemarch, Ontario, December 28, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Jean (WHITE/WHYTE) CARROLL. Mrs. TEMPLE was a former employee of Singer Controls and Essex Wire, Saint Thomas. She attended Port Stanley United Church and formerly attended the Saint Thomas Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She was an avid euchre player. Friends will be received at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, Saint Thomas on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11: 00 a.m. Interment in Elmdale Memorial Park. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario gratefully acknowledged.

At Exeter Villa, on Thursday, January 11, 2007, Cecilia "Lucy" (CAYLEY) INSON formerly of Huron Park in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late David L. Inson (1995). Dear mother and mother-in-law of Roy and Sharon CAYLEY of Stratford, Ray VARLEY of Huron Park, Linda and Rick MOFFATT of London, Marg INSON and her fiancé Jim WILLIAMSON of Exeter and Steve DAVIS of London. Also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Rita Josephine LOGAN of Thorndale. Predeceased by daughter Sandra VARLEY (2003,) son Bill INSON (2004,) sisters Marie WOLFE (1976,) Alice LONG (1966,) Leona SMUCK (1989) and brothers Wm. Peter CAYLEY (1974) and Roy CAYLEY (1922.) Friends may call at the C. Haskett and son Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 13th at 2 p.m. with Rev.
